Chapter 1
Hell isn't a bad place. Sure you would perceive it as a fire pit of death and destruction, but in reality it was more of a Las Vegas or New York City Scene. We had the tall skyscrapers towering over us, the gambling industry thriving down here in the pit, and the clubs. I personally didn't give a damn for the clubs or any of it. When I came down here, I already experienced those scenes, I expected something else down here. And I guess I got that.
When I died, I knew I would be going to hell. I didn't follow the Bible or any of the rules the church set for me, I didn't believe in those things. So it was no shock when the Reaper dumped me here. The thing that shocked me was I greeted by the devil, in the flesh. Satan, Lucifer, whatever was a girl and a very good looking one. She smiled at me and sat in front of me, her eyes were on me constantly. Her outfit also threw me off guard, a silk dress surrounded by feathers and heels. She could pull it off though.
"Sit, please." Her voice was strong and powerful, it could make anyone follow her.
I did as I was told and held my scarf tightly, it was cold down here.
"Thank you," she held her smile." As you could've guessed, I'm the Overlord of Evil and Darkness blah, blah, but I would prefer it if you called me Elizabeth."
I nodded my head without hesitation.
"Excellent! Now, you, my darling, aren't any normal unfortunate soul that came down here. You're here for an offer I have for you. " She sounded slightly English and it was also probably the cause for her beautiful red hair.
"You are to be apart of my newly formed Knights of Hell. If you chose to except, then you will be worshipped here in Hell, the whole world at your fingertips. If you deny, well you'll be a normal, poor soul, rotting forever here in hell." Her eyes were pitch black and her smile was more wicked than before.
She tapped her fingers as I thought, nailing my thoughts in one by one. I had no other choice and she knew that, either be a somebody or a nobody and I knew I had to pick the first one. That was the only decent deal I would get down here.
"I...accept." I croaked out.
She smiled even more. "Good choice, now get up. I need to show you your new home!"
I got up slowly and she grabbed me. We teleported to the tallest building I saw on the way down here. She covered my eyes before I turned around and I didn't fight it, I was honestly tired. She lifted her hand from my eyes and my mouth dropped.
The place was beautiful and huge. It felt like I didn't belong here, I wasn't as rich or as pretty to live here.
"This, my ginger hair doll, is your home. I know it's a bit...new, but feel free to customize it to your liking. Your home should make you feel comfortable and want to always come back here." Her eyes were no longer black, but now grey and her expression was now kind. I said she was pretty and I wasn't lying, but she was Lucifer. Literal perfection was what I expected and it delivered.
"Also, you have your other knights on the floors below you and you'll be meeting them tomorrow." She turned towards the door I saw on my left.
"W-where do you live?" I nearly shouted. She turned to look, but laughed.
"The floor above, darling. This after all is my home." She continued to walk toward the door, leaving me here alone.
I was still in awe at this place, it all was so clean and I was afraid to move.
I was afraid of a lot of things before this gig. But now, I wasn't scared of anything.
-
That's where I am now. Doing my damn job for the grand kingdom of hell and it was exhausting. I had blood all over me, my hair in my face, and a pissed off look that was ready to kill.
"F..i..g...h..t...m..e.." The beast murmured and I was just about done with him.
"Shut up you arrogant piece of-" He jumped at me and I was taken aback.
"How DARE you interrupt a lady!" I pulled out one of my cutlasses and held it out. "Cometh at me."
He was now replaced with a horrendous monster instead of a sickly oldie. I groaned and stepped backwards provoking it to come at me. I jumped up and sent my cutlass into the skin and ran up the arm. It's screech rang my ears and could cause me to go deaf real quick. I (tried) to ignore it and a strike for the head, but he swiped me away.
I was now on the ground, covered in dirt and angrier than before.
"Buddy you got like five minutes to die! I have an appointment with the devil!" I bashed my fist to the ground and it caused the ground to crack. I got up and finally had both of my cutlasses out.
"You better prepare to be dead! You have four minutes and thirty seconds baby!" I didn't even care anymore, I blasted towards him. Screaming loudly that I felt I overpowered him. Sadly, dear Satan came by.
"Darling, don't you know how to take out a Rig?" Her heel clicks echoed as everything had gone silent. Even the beast was now being a perfect little demon.
"I do, but-"
Satan took care of him in like five seconds. Why do I even bother?
"Darling, I expected this done an hour ago!" She slapped the back of my head.
"Well, Elizabeth, you give me five task to do in three hours! Some are easy, some are hard, you cannot expect me-"
"Darling, hush. Now come. We're having dinner in the great hall." She pulled me into the dark Crimson portal she came through, she was hurting me.
We were back in hell and I was displeased. We were in our home of riches and treasures, the whatever. I'll call it Trump Towers for all I care.
"Hey look it's the brat!" I saw it was Keri who blurted it.
"Hey look it's the disappointment that honestly can't take down anything and do her job." I spat at her.
"Girls calm down, we're having dinner!" Elizabeth exclaimed, clapping her hands.
I saw men come out with trays upon trays of prepared dishes for us though I hated it here, I didn't hate the food.
Who hates food? Even in hell you have a fine taste in cuisine.
"So, Darling, how was work?" Oh here no, she did not.
"Oh it went swell! I had a bloody fantastic time!" I slammed my fork into the plate that was set in front of me.
"Darling, don't ruin our china. It was a gift from my father." Her accent was quiet with the last part.
She hated her dad, I honestly hated him too. I met him a lot and he was the worst. All trying to get Elizabeth back up into the heavens and her refusing him, it was all chaos. And it made him seem desperate.
"Oh of course, sorry." I was too sarcastic for my own good sometimes, I needed help honestly.
"Clo, chill." It was honestly weird hearing my name since I'm used to Elizabeth not actually saying it.
"What Maze?"
"You actually hung things down?" Her hair was honestly everywhere and she was not the prettiest thing in the world, but her eyes were to die for.
"What else would I do?"
"Be Elizabeth's bitch." She snickered and I was done.
"Maze!" Elizabeth screeched. "How dare you make these assumptions. You will be punished!"
"Oh kinky." Maze smirked and I punched her into a wall.
"Shut it you weak minded rat." All she did was smirk at me.
"Oh..is this what you two do?" I walked away, I didn't even care even to finish her off.
"Do you two not fin-" I instead threw a knife and it hit her between her eyes.
The thing with us is we're Knights of Hell and we do not bleed, we are also not harmed by petty knives you use for cutting up a steak.
"How dare you!" Maze took the knife out and (pathetically) threw back at me, but instead it went toward Satan. That's not good, do not try and stab Satan with a knife. Trust me.
I caught it before any damage was done, thankfully.
"Thank you Darling, but Maze come with me." She got up and walked over to the door, heels clicking away.
"Wish me luck guys!" Maze pranced over to door, following behind.
She would bleed tonight for probably the first time ever in her undead life.
