You can refer to me as Arty, for those new to my profile. I'm the official creator of this AU. I had posted the description of this idea in my recent artbook and it had gotten positive feedback. You can read it below, since it covers the base idea of the entire AU.

"Imagine Undertale as you know it. The original design and development. The first time you ever played it.

Now imagine you yourself as someone who could go into Undertale. Not transported, but a simulation. A simulation you can feel, see, and experience. In a futuristic world, of course. You would get into a suit that can connect to the actual body's nervous system. To feel pain, rain on the skin, bangs of soft hair that hit your eyelashes and forehead when you actually have a buzz cut or something. You'd hold a tablet of some kind in your mouth that correlates to your senses so you can taste what you eat or drink for a time your in the simulation. 

The whole bit.

You'd live it. But it'd be a game.

A character I'm thinking of would maybe be a deaf or mute person and they have to sign to convey things to go close with some of the more accepted headcannons. The skins you could actually choose could be any of the souls, kind of like choosing a style. You'd have the option to have Chara's, but maybe that would be locked; or open and Frisk's skin would switch with Chara's in a sense.

Maybe this player entered a raffle to have the full experience thats only open to people that have an ungodly amount of money and thought 'why not I probably won't win'.

I haven't fleshed out all of the details, but here's a couple of pieces to help convey what I'm trying to get at here."

Now, this whole AU was based on a rough idea. I had posted early designs that aren't solid yet. You can see them below.

Since I'm working on multiple books, questions will be answered in the comment section. If there are multiple threads, quickly scroll through them to make sure your not asking the same question, otherwise I'd just say I've already answered the question.

Here are some good questions I'll start off with answering:

Can I make fanart, or new designs for (and of) the AU?
Of course! I love seeing new ideas, and I want this AU to be inclusive to the community. Please tag me or send me a link to see what ideas you can come up with.

Does the main character have a specific gender?
Not officially. I default to a female base, but if you want to have a male main character I'd be glad to add it, or make the character non-gendered like Frisk is. Thought this may change when the character is solidified.

Is there a solid storyline?
I do have an idea of one; a framework if you will. The main character has a regular day and sees the raffle advert. Shrugs, going 'why not' they enter it with little hope. They go the rest of the day with friends and futuristic life (This is open for entered characters!)

Another couple of days go by with shenanigans with entered characters, and our character is woken up from a nap by a knock on the door. Official men and women stand outside, ready to take the main character to their debut as the winner of the raffle. They're ushered past news-people and is driven to a expensive site to stay in that's completely covered.

Their days then alternate from the simulation and semi-regular life in an expensive large house (the first day being the most bumpy getting used to the equipment).

This is all I have right now as I post.

Does the main character need to use sign language?
Not exactly. If the main character is solidified to just deaf they could speak. It depends on the development of the story, and on the community.

What about new characters? Can I draw one and see them in the story?
Very good question. Entries for characters are for the main character to interact with outside the simulation, and not in the game. To put it simply: If you want to enter a character, I'm going to be taking either robot or human characters. Since this is a futuristic setting, you'd think people would have been able to create solid AI's for the public.

I will make new chapters as art and updates are added. Even if there are other chapters, please just ask questions on this one. I want to keep everything in one place in case I need to refer back to a specific question or suggestion.

I may not answer right away. I'm on and off of wifi and school is starting soon. Just because I don't answer in a timely fashion does not mean I'm ignoring your question. I either didn't see it or can't get to it.
