~ Three Weeks Later ~
"Holy macaroni with kryptonite on top!" Ryan exclaimed.
"What is it!" Kabe shouted a few seconds later running into Ryan's office.
"This dude just passed me out in just ONE SECOND and I was so close to the finish line!" Ryan explained.
"Are you kidding me! This is the third time today!" Kabe shouted so loudly the veins on the side of his neck threatened to burst free.
"Have you ever heard of the boy who cried wolf! Asphalt Eight is not an emergency!" Kabe scolded Ryan.
"Yes grandpa," Ryan replied like a little child who got a proper scolding and hanging his head in shame, "It won't happen again," he said in a childish apologetic tone. Though Kabe hated been called a grandpa, Ryan knew it was the only way to calm Kabe's already boiling blood.
"Did you order the lens that I have been asking you about for a while now?" Kabe questioned.
"Yes, I did. It's supposed to be coming in tomorrow."
"But you said you were ordering it today and those things take like a week to reach."
"No, I didn't. I ordered them last Tuesday," Ryan replied nonchalantly.
"You know? I'm sure you're going to be one of my pallbearers one day. You kill me slowly every day with your antics because I'm sure you told me you were just going to order it today," Kabe resolved stomping out of Ryan's office and heading to his own.
He started packing some equipment for a photo shoot he was going to do on Friday. About ten minutes later Ryan waltzed towards Kabe's office.
"What are you packing for?" Ryan questioned.
Kabe looked up at him and scrunched up his face at the way he was swinging off the doorframe like a little kid.
"I'm putting together some equipment for the photoshoot for some new wedding place that's opening," Kabe replied turning back to his packing.
"Ryan would you stop acting like a little kid for once at least? Please!"
"Fine!" Ryan complied while raising his hands as if he was surrendering, "All I was doing was being the little brother you didn't have which in turn made you the big brother I didn't have," Ryan concluded with a smirk.
At that explanation Kabe quickly swiped a pen off his desk and flung it at Ryan to which he ducked at the last second.
"Hey Ryan, could you get your sister to work here for a while? Say until Saturday?" Kabe asked as if he wasn't out for Ryan just now.
"Sure thing. I think she was going to stop by here later today anyway. Knowing her she'll probably want to start working right away."
"She doesn't have to start today you know."
"It doesn't matter to her. She talks about how working here gives loads of money fast."
"Why is that?" Kabe asked while trying to decide whether he should just carry the ring flash adapters or the floodlight reflectors.
"Carry both of them," Ryan said seeing that Kabe couldn't make up his mind, "She claims that we pay a lot for someone who hasn't got their qualifications in photography yet."
"Oh yeah, that's what she thinks? Well when she comes in today we'll give her the shock of her life," Kabe replied with mischief clear on his face.
"Yeah? And what's that?" Ryan replied rubbing his palms together.

"Hey Kabe! Is Ryan around?" a girl in her late teens asked while leaning over the front desk.
"Oh hey Lizzy," Kabe greeted Ryan's sister, "Yeah he's here. He's on the other side of the studio."
"Thanks," she waved to Kabe as she walked off.
"Hey Liz," Kabe called to her making her turn back instantly.
"Yeah," she raised an eyebrow at him.
"I'd love to have my pen back," he called her out holding his palm out for the pen.
"Hmm!" she pouted, "You just had to notice! This pen is so good looking and you wouldn't even let me borrow it," she complained while tossing the pen in his hand.
"You do mean permanently borrow," Kabe stated chuckling at his friend's sister.
"Whatever," she replied stomping off.
Lizzy then headed over to the little equipment store where Ryan worked.
"Hey big brother!" Lizzy shouted directly behind Ryan's back.
"Ahh!!" Ryan screamed startled dropping a camera he was holding. He quickly bent down and picked up the camera and checked to see that it wasn't broken and still working.
He then turned around and saw that his sister was the culprit of his near heart attack.
"What is wrong with you! You almost made the camera break!"
"Ops?" Lizzy said with an 'innocent' smile.
"Ops! That's all you got to say? You know how expensive this is?"
"Yeah but do you know how tough that is?" she asked with a smirk plopping herself down in a chair, "It's a Nikon camera for Pete's sake!"
"What are you here for now?" Ryan asked cutting to the chase.
Lizzy then started to dig around in her bag and pulled out what she found, "Mom said I was to give you this sandwich."
Ryan looked at the sandwich then gave her a deadpan look.
"Fine, fine. I'm just kidding. I just came to add a bit of misery to your life," she stated with a smile.
Ryan rolled his eyes at her and went back to stacking the shelves.
"Oh Liz, Kabe wants you to take over for him until Saturday."
"Yes! I'll start right away! Some quick money coming right my way!" Lizzy cheered jumping up from her seat.
"Oh about that... You'll be getting half the amount we usually pay you," Ryan said.
Lizzy's shoulders slumped slowly, "What! Why?"
Ryan turned around and tried to suppress the laugh slowly forming in his throat due his sister's expression, "Because one - you aren't qualified and two; which is the main reason - you don't know how to handle your money wisely," he stated looking at her new shoes pointedly.
"What! That's not true," she complained while trying desperately but failing to hide the shoes on her feet.
"Stop whining like a little kid. Until you start spending wisely you possibly get a raise and when you graduate from university next year fully qualified you will get back the full payment."
"Maybe," he added as an after thought just to irritate her more.
"I hate you," Lizzy stated with venom dripping from her lips though they both knew what she said wasn't true.
"Tell me something I don't already know," Ryan full out laughed at her.
I'm so so sorry for not updating yesterday as I wasn't home unexpectedly.
Soooo I know this chapter was pretty short and didn't have much but is just as important as any other chapter. HOWEVER I promise you next week's update will be HUGE and IMPORTANT so I'd advice you not to miss it and the questions you are asking out loud or in your mind may or may not be answered. So stick around.
What do you guys think about Kabe and Ryan's friendship? Is Kabe a bit too uptight and need to slacken up a bit? Is Ryan to childish and need to add in a bit if seriousness in his life?
How about Ryan's sister? Anyone loving her personality?
Above and below are pictures of the eclipse from my side of the earth last Monday. Don't judge my tablet has awful quality. That's a 3/4 eclipse though.
Oh and before you read next weeks chapter you'll probably want to be sitting down (maybe not in public)
I spoke A LOT this week but don't for...
