Happy reading!! <3
"Babe get up. It is almost noon." I said shaking a snoring Macey. I had been up for a while unpacking the rest of our stuff in the living room and cleaning. I knew since classes started tomorrow neither Macey or I would want to finish unpacking and cleaning the place. Hearing a groan from her I kept nudging her shoulder.
"Seriously Macey lets get up. You need a cup of coffee and some food." At the mention of coffee she peeked her head out from under the covers.
"Coffee?" She asked cracking open one eye. I grinned and nodded.
"Yes. You need to get some fresh air so we will go to the 95 Degrees and get some warm fresh coffee."
"Can't you go get me some?" She whined putting a hand to her head, which I bet was pounding.
"Nope you have to get out and get some fresh air. There is some Advil on your bedside table and water. Get up, throw on some clothes, and take them. We are leaving in 10 minutes." I said before turning and leaving her room. I heard her groan loudly behind me and grinned. Macey was always like this after a night partying. I didn't have much pity for her anymore the next morning.
I slipped on my shoes while I waited for Macey to change so we can leave. Even though I was up late last night I couldn't sleep in. I was up by 8 o'clock and couldn't force myself to sleep, so I was craving as much coffee as Mace is. She emerged from her room a few minutes later dressed in a pair of sweats and plain t-shirt. Her dirty blonde hair was pulled into a ponytail and she had cleaned off her makeup from last night. After Gage left I tucked her in her bed before making she had a bucket by the bed. Thankfully though she wasn't much of a puker.
"Lets go." I said grabbing the keys and phone leading her out of the dorm.
She was half dead as we trekked across campus to the cafe. I knew once she got some coffee in her and a little bit of food she would be talkative, telling me all about last night, if she remembered anything. It was warm today as the sun shined down on us. Dressed in a pair of baggy jeans that had paint stains on them and a t-shirt. It was Sunday after all, not a day to get dressed up in my book. The whole trip to 95 Degrees Macey was silent dealing with her hangover.
We entered the place and a bell chimed above notifying the workers people were here. The place was slightly packed and most of the people here looked like they had just gotten up themselves. Girls were dressed not to impress and the guys were looking a little pale. And everyone wonders why I don't want to go to parties. I thought sarcastically.
Going up to the counter I ordered 2 regular black coffees and one hazelnut frappuccino. Scooting off to the side I let Macey order. The girl taking our order looked like she would rather be somewhere else than serving coffee to a bunch of hungover college kids.
"That will be $15.25." The girl muttered. I paid smiling at Macey who was slumped against the counter. I found it funny how she acted if she didn't have any coffee in her after a night out. She was literally a walking zombie.
"You didn't want anything to eat?" I asked as we waited for our order.
"Ew no. If I smell food I will throw up."
"But the smell of coffee is fine?"
"Yes it is the best thing ever invented." Mace said tapping her foot impatiently. I wanted to disagree with her but I couldn't. Coffee was a great invention, especially to college students. When our order was called Macey pounced on the poor girl and ripped her coffee out of her hand. Without waiting for me she turned and headed for the door sipping her latte. With a soft thank you I grabbed the tray with the three drinks and followed after her.
"So the party was hip-happening last night huh." I said walking beside Mace.
"It was pretty cool. I mean it was kind of the same as high school parties but hotter guys." She said. Now that she had coffee in her was alive.
"Yeah you said that last night."
"Wait what?" She turned to me confused.
"You called me last night around 2 in the morning. So I got up to come to get you and the entire way back you talked about some guy and how hot he was, how he was such a great kisser." I answered shrugging. I wasn't going to tell her how a random guy helped me carry her passed out ass all the way home.
"Oh I am sorry! I don't remember calling you."
"That's okay." Even though she passed out on me I was able to meet a mysterious guy named Gage. All night I dreamt about him even though I have no idea who he is. The only thing I really knew was that he goes here or he wouldn't have known where to go. And that he was beaten up pretty good. Maybe a fight happened a few minutes before I arrived at the party, I don't know.
"If it makes you feel better my head is killing me." Macey said bringing me out of my thoughts.
"A little." I smirked over at her before we both started to laugh. Walking past our dorm building we continued to another one just a little bit aways. In a way it was nice that my brother lived so close to us. If I needed anything it would only take me 3 minutes to get to his dorm building. We entered the building and went up a few flight of stairs. I had already been here when I helped Luke move in a few weeks earlier. Coming to a stop in front of 15B I used the spare key my parents made sure I had before leaving.
Opening the door I silently prayed that there was no girls walking around half naked. That was something I did not want to see or even think about. Macey shut the door behind us as I moved deeper into the room. As I predicted neither boy was up, even though it was after noon by now. Oh yeah did I forget to tell you that Ethan was also my brothers roommate.
"I'll get your brother up." Macey said not even skipping a beat as she headed for his room. I knew in a minute I would hear my brother yelp in pain as I headed for Ethan's room. True to my word as soon I started to open the door I heard my brother yell and Macey's laugh following. Those two were always finding ways to torture or annoy one another. Shaking my head I walked into Ethan's room.
Surprisingly he room wasn't that messy. All of his things had been unpacked and put into certain places. His chest a drawers weren't over flowing and neither was his closet. A few things stuck out of it but everyone's probably did. The closets weren't big enough to fit everything neatly. He had a desk pushed to one side of the room that held a laptop, a signed football, a few misc. stuff. On the floor was a few discarded pieces of clothing but that was about it.
Going over to his bed I looked down and gulped. He was shirtless leaving his toned abs on display while his comforter was bunched around his waist. His arms were behind his head and it made his biceps look even bigger. A soft snore escaped his parted lips and his brown hair was sticking up with a few pieces laying on his forehead. He looked so handsome while sleeping that I just wanted to run my hand down his face and chest. Shaking my head at my thoughts I nudged his shoulder.
"Ethan get up." I said softly. When he still didn't move I said it louder and shook his shoulder harder; he didn't even move a muscle. Huffing I pulled my hand back and slapped his cheek. The sound echoed around the room and immediately his blue/green eyes snapped open. I couldn't help but grin that my idea worked. Plus it was kind of revenge for how many times him and Luke have woken me up by dumping water on me, or pulling my mattress out from under me.
"Carter." He said my name in a low voice. I smiled sweetly down at him.
"Yes?"
"Why did you slap me?" He sat up and I took a step back.
"You wouldn't get up."
"So you slapped me." He said slowly pushing his covers off of him and standing up. I almost fainted seeing he was wearing a pair of sweat pants that were hanging low on his hips. His abs were on clear display making my mouth dry. You would think after seeing him shirtless for all these years I would be use to this but nope. In fact is seems he has gotten even more fit since this summer when him and my brother hung out around the pool in the backyard with me and Macey.
"I uh yes." I stammered out forcing myself to look away from his shirtless upper body.
"Again why?" He took a step closer to me.
"Revenge." With that I put my hands on his chest, ignoring the hard muscle under them, and shoved him hard back onto his bed. Not wasting anymore time I turned and ran to the door before he could get up. "I have coffee waiting for you." Turning I felt his room shutting the door behind me. Taking a deep breath I let the image of his abs melt into my brain. Hearing movement behind the door I left to the living room. As I came into the living room I saw my brother was now up, sitting on the couch shirtless while drinking the coffee I got him. Macey sat across from him doing something on her phone.
"So how was your night?" I asked Luke plopping down beside him.
"Inside voice." He groaned.
"I am using my 'inside voice'." I sipped my frappuccino shaking my head at him. "Partied too hard apparently."
Ethan walked into the room just with a t-shirt now on, grabbing the last coffee on the table. He came and sat down on the other side of me. Why did I have to sit in the middle? Bringing my knees up I wrapped an arm around them. The room was silent as everyone drank their coffee and dealt with their hangover. I was literally the only sober person in the room.
"Mom called last night and said hi." I said breaking the silence.
"And now you give me the message!" Ethan exclaimed putting a hand to his chest. I rolled my eyes at him.
"You guys are lucky today is Sunday. If not you would be late to class and not being going to the game." I had to be the responsible one in our little group, even if Luke and Ethan were older.
"Yes mom." Luke said.
"What are you guys doing today?" I asked.
"Sitting around why?"
"Just wondering. I think Mace and I will hang out with you guys. We are doing the same thing as you are." I shrugged. I didn't want to admit it but I was kind of missing home and being around my brother would help a little.
"Sounds good. I'm going to go shower." Luke said standing up and heading to his room, but not before smacking Macey on the back of her head. As soon as his hand came in contact he took off to his room slamming the door behind him.
"He better run." Macey grumbled under her breathe. I shook my head at them. They literally can't be in the same room together without messing with one another.
"So what should we do then?" Ethan asked turning to me.
"We could play video games, or some kind of game." I suggested.
"Are you sure you want to play video games again?" He asked raising an eyebrow at me. I narrowed my eyes at him.
"That was one time!"
"Throwing the controller at the wall leaves a mark dear Carter. As does the scratches you made when you tried to hit me for beating you at a game."
"I did not! You were just in the way." I folded my arms across my chest.
"Whatever you say." He smirked over at me.
"If we don't play some kind of game then what is there to do? Sit around with our fingers up our butts?"
"Wow who would have known you liked that kind of stuff Carter." Ethan said his eyes widening at me.
"Ew gross Ethan!" I yelled feeling blush rise in my cheeks. "Get your mind out of the gutter!"
"You thought it first!" He shot back. As Ethan and I argued back and forth Macey just sat there staring at us with a grin on her face. Ever since I told her I liked Ethan years ago, every chance I could have of being alone with Ethan she had made work. Like just a few minutes ago when she went to get my brother up, although she wanted to mess with him she knew I wanted to get Ethan. We both knew my crush on him probably won't work out but a girl could dream.
"Who started it this time?" I heard Luke say as he walked into the room, his hair still wet.
"Ethan did." I said looking away from him.
"Ethan stop bugging my sister." I turned and smiled smugly at Ethan. Ha in your face! "And Carter stop messing with Ethan." It was now Ethan's turn to be smug.
"So what are we doing?" He asked taking a seat once again.
"Video games." I said.
"Are you sure?" Luke sent me a-are-you-serious look. I glared at him to which he finally nodded. "Okay. Lets get started I can't wait to kick Macey's ass again." He rubbed his hands together and headed for their playstation 3 that was set up by the tv.
"You didn't kick my ass last time! I was right behind you!" Macey yelled getting up and coming to sit next to me. Rolling my eyes once more I shifted so she would have more room which in turn made me brush against Ethan.
"So that is still me winning."
"What are we playing?" Ethan interrupted their bickering.
"Mario Cart!" Macey and I at the same time, we grinned at each other.
"Again?" Luke whined.
"Yes you owe me for bringing you coffee and getting you up." I stated.
"Fine." He replied grumpily as he put it in. Handing each of us a controller, I got a blue one because it was my favorite color, he sat on the ground below my feet since there was no more room on the couch.
As Luke pressed all the right buttons to get us to the main screen I quickly finished my drink and went to throw it away. Coming back I found Ethan's long legs in my spot and a little on Macey, who was so focused on choosing her character she didn't notice.
"Move." I said standing in front of the couch.
"I'm rather comfortable to move." He said grinning.
"Want me to sit on you." I threatened.
"Now that's an idea." Of course only dirty thoughts entered my mind at his sentence. Forcing the blush down I looked at Ethan.
"Fine." With that I jumped down on his legs.
"Ow! That hurts!" Ethan yelled.
"Payback for taking my seat." I grinned over at him before grabbing my controller and turning to the screen.
"Carter I worry about you. You actually believe that it hurts? You weigh like 20 pounds." Ethan said giving me a flat look. While continuing on staring at me he jerked his legs back from under me making me fall onto Macey.
"Carter you have to take me on a date before we get this close." Macey said grinning down at me. I stuck my tongue out at her.
"Babe I think we've gone on enough dates." I winked at her before pushing myself off of her and back into my spot. Ethan now had his legs back on the ground and was smirking at me. Smacking his shoulder I looked away from him.
"Okay lets start!" Luke who was sitting down by my feet on the floor tilted his head up to look at me.
"Don't go throwing your controller if you lose. This isn't home." He warned hitting start before I could hit him. It was quiet for a few minutes the only sound being the clicking of our controller buttons.
"Yoshi come on." I muttered under my breath at the character I had picked. Luke had picked the course Moo Moo Meadows this time. We had a system where every person picked a course then if we continued to play we will go back around the circle. (Yes I know Moo Moo Meadows is on the Mario Cart Wii but I've only ever played it on there)
1 hour and 8 courses later we called it quits on Mario Cart. I had taken great satisfaction on beating everyone 3 times but the other 5 times I got either 2nd or 3rd. Now everyone was complaining about how hungry they were, me included. It was almost 2 in the afternoon and neither of the hungover triplets have eaten anything. Thankfully though they were all pretty much better by now and only had slight headaches.
"I'm hungry! Make me something to eat Carter!" Luke whined flopping on the chair to the left of the couch.
"Yeah Carter!" Both Macey and Ethan chimed in.
"Why do I have to cook you something? I'm not your maid."
"But you are the only one of us 4 that can really cook." Luke reasoned. It was true to. Luke was a disaster in the kitchen, if it wasn't cereal, toast or ramen he'd probably burn it. Same with Ethan although he could at least make a little more than Luke. The only thing Macey could really cook was sweets. She made the best chocolate chip cookies but regular food wasn't the same.
"Yeah so chop chop." Ethan snapped his fingers at me.
"You guys need to learn to cook something other than ramen and toast. I'm not going to be around forever to cook for you."
"Yes you will. You're going to be one of those crazy dog ladies that lives next door to one of us." Ethan said.
"I can see it." Luke chimed in.
"Hey! Are you saying I'm going to be forever alone!?" I looked between them.
"Not alone Car, you will have your 20 dogs with you." At his joke Ethan cracked up laughing slapping hands with Luke.
"Wow you are so funny I forgot to laugh." I deadpanned. "Mace they are being rude to me!" I whined to her.
"Nice go and tell 'mommy'." Luke said rolling his eyes.
"Ew don't ever call me mommy." She said back him a look of disgust on her face.
"Oh that's because you want to call me daddy isn't it?" Luke wiggled his eyebrows at her.
"Oh yes because I just call you daddy all the time." Macey rolled her eyes at him.
"You would in the bedroom-"
"Ewww shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" I yelled placing my hands over my ears. That is so disgusting. I did not need the image of my best friend and brother doing it in my head.
"Aww little baby Carter is so innocent." Ethan remarked poking my cheeks. I slapped his hand away glaring at him.
"I am not. I'd just rather not throw up in my mouth listening to your dirty talk."
"Don't worry Carter if it doesn't happen for you, you can just live vicariously through us." He patted my shoulder giving my a sympathetic look. Like I would do that. I thought. But they were right about me living alone with 20 dogs. I've only had 2 boyfriends in my lifetime. Well one doesn't count because it was in middle school and it lasted for a week. You know those middle school relationships were you only hang out during lunch and maybe pass a few notes here and there; that was all it was. Most of the time we didn't even see each other so after a week it ended.
Then my '2nd' boyfriend was my first actual one and the first time I fell in love with someone other than Ethan. His name was Quinton, we were in the same grade, and he was considered popular alongside my brother and Ethan. He played both soccer and baseball and was everything a girl wanted in the looks department. He had the all american look about him-blonde hair, blue eyes, high cheek bones and a nice jawline. He was fit but not overly muscular he had the body of a well toned soccer player; lean and tall.
When he asked me out our Junior year I hesitated at first because I was so into Ethan that I felt like I would be cheating on him with Quinton. After a lot of wooing and Macey telling me I had to go for it to get over Ethan I finally accepted the date. With it being my first date I was beyond nervous and it didn't help I had my mom, Aunt Kay and Macey there helping me get ready. I made the mistake of telling my mom I had a date which in turn made her call Aunt Kacey to come over and do my makeup. The entire time I had to listen to my mom and Kacey reminisce about there old dating past, all the while pleading with Macey to help me get out of here.
Then of course once Quinton got here my father, my brother, and even Ethan took it upon themselves to interrogate him. My father asked him all about his family, what he wanted to do after high school, what his grades were like, if he did sports, who he dated before, etc. Even though my brother and Ethan already knew Quinton they still questioned him while glaring. They stood above him while he sat on the couch with their arms crossed staring at poor Quinton. To say it was embarrassing was an understatement. With the help of both mom and Aunt Kay I was able to grab his arm and pull us out of the house.
The date started off pretty rocky. He decided to take me to some fancy restaurant that had tiny portions of food and snotty old people staring at us. After we left we were both still hungry. I had never seen Quinton more nervous or sorry in my life as we got in the car that night. Telling him it was fine we ended up going to McDonalds and then to the arcade. From then on it was super fun.
We ended up dating for a year much to my brother and Ethan's disappointment. My father wasn't as thrilled either but accepted it. But when we would be at my house dad kept peeking his head in at us every so often and made sure my bedroom door was open. The two boys did the same as well during the whole time we dated.
It was the middle of our senior year when all the happiness and love went down the drain. We had already confessed our love for one another and I was finally getting over Ethan. Every once in a while I would still feel jealous or butterflies in my stomach seeing him but being with Quinton made me forget about it. It was the night of his soccer championship game. We hadn't hung out in a little while since he was so focused on practice and winning the game, and I was busy sending in college applications.
After a lot of thought I made the decision that tonight would be the night. Quinton never really pressured me into having sex and I was grateful he didn't but lately I felt like I was loosing him. At the time I sounded like a good choice but now I realize how stupid I was. I thought that since I loved him so much and he loved me too that this would work out an be amazing, plus it would be my present for him winning the championship.
Anyways that entire day I made sure I had everything ready. I shaved, made sure to wear my sexiest underwear and bra, and had a plan so my parents would think I was with Macey instead of Quinton all night. I had sat on the cold hard benches cheering for him all night and when they won I was out of my seat in an instant. Pushing my way through the crowd I made my way towards the field to congratulate him. After shoving people out of my way not really caring at that point I saw something that made me heart shatter.
Standing in front of me was my boyfriend kissing Rebecca Prince, the slut of our school. But the term kissing wasn't the right term more like making out and practically grinding against one another right on the field, oblivious to everyone around them. His hands were in her hair while hers was around his waist pulling him into her. I watched as they broke apart and grinned at each other. The sight made my heart fall to my feet because I knew that look. It was the same look he had given me once upon a time, and the same look my parents shared with one another. Not wanting to be seen I turned and ran to my car heading to Macey's.
The next few days Quinton texted a few times but not enough to show he actually cared that I 'wasn't' at the game the other night. I didn't reply and spent most of the time crying and eating myself full of ice cream. When I got back to school on Monday I ignored him until right before the day ended when he dragged me into an empty classroom. I wanted to yell and hit him but as I stood in front of him I felt empty. Telling him I knew he only showed a flash of guilt. I found out he had been seeing Rebecca for almost 3 months all the while I was thinking he was busy because of school, soccer, and trying to get into college.
I didn't have it in my to yell as we broke up. I didn't want anyone to know that he had cheated on me, especially my brother and Ethan. I knew they would find him and beat him bloody. So after we both promised not to tell anyone that he cheated I left the room and didn't look back. And to this day no one knows the truth but Macey and my mom. I made my mom promise to never tell my father because he would go on a rampage and never let me date again. Ethan and Luke thought we broke up because we were both busy with school and college applications, not questioning it. They did get angry when they came home from school to pick me up and saw Quinton kissing Rebecca, which the entire school knew the next day.
I didn't talk to Quinton after that and went out of my way to ignore him as the school year went on. I wanted to forgive him and maybe I did now but I wasn't over him breaking my heart. I probably won't ever be, your first heartbreak is something you will remember forever. I heard he got an audition to play for the national soccer team after graduation which I was happy for him but that was all I felt. It has been almost a year since we broke up and I'm somewhat over it, but with that ending my feelings for Ethan have come back full force.
"Where's Amy?" Luke's voice asked jerking me out of my depressing thoughts.
"Yeah where is she?" I wondered.
"Honestly I have no idea. I lost her a little bit into the party last night and haven't heard from her. Let me text her to make sure she is okay." Macey said grabbing her phone.
"Sooo where's my food?" Ethan asked staring at the side of my face.
"In the fridge waiting for you to get up and make it yourself." I shot back.
"Wow good one." He sarcastically said.
"Can't we just order pizza?" Macey asked.
"No Ethan and I can't have all that fat." Luke said.
"Why not? It's just pizza it can be considered healthy because it has tomatoes, dairy, meat, and grains." I reasoned.
"As much as I agree with you on that we can't. Coach doesn't let us have any big fatty food before a game, especially our first game of the season." Luke said shrugging.
"Ugh fine I will cook us something." I groaned standing up and heading to the kitchen. "Is Amy coming over?" I asked Macey.
"No she said she is staying in today. Apparently really hungover." I nodded before opening the fridge up. Thankfully it was pretty full of all kinds of food.
"Anything you guys are in the mood for?" I asked.
"Chicken!"
"Grill Cheese!"
"Eggs and bacon!" Came everyones response.
"That helped." I muttered. Seeing an egg carton and some bacon on a shelf I took it out. Eggs and bacon it is for lunch. While I moved around Luke and Ethan's little kitchen looking for pots and pans, the three of them sat in the living room talking about god knows what. As much as I wanted to say I hated when they made me cook I couldn't. I know it is stupid but I like knowing that they need me, even if it is to cook while they sit around.
I listened to their bickering while I cracked eggs into a bowl. All three of them were talking about which coffee was better and of course none of them were agreeing.
"Carter what kind of coffee is better?" Luke yelled over to me. I had my back turned to him but still answered.
"You mean style wise? Because I'd have to say either a frap or a latte are the best." I liked hot coffee when it was cold but sometimes it was too hot to drink and had to wait for a while.
"I disagree you can't go wrong with a regular cup of coffee." Luke reasoned. I rolled my eyes as I dumped the bowl of eggs into the pan on the stove. Their arguing continued as Macey said she only liked lattes, tan Ethan had to butt in about cappuccinos. I ignored them as I continued on making lunch.
This was literally what happened every time we hung out. Someone had to bring up the stupidest arguments and it just started everyone off on their own opinions. But I guess it was a good way of learning what each other liked and that there were no dull moments between us. Yes sometimes I didn't want to hang out with my brother but mostly Macey and I did. Since we all grew up together we have just become so comfortable around each other.
A few minutes later I finished the food. Along with the eggs and bacon I made some toast but they would have to butter it themselves if they wanted. It looked like I made a shit ton of food but I knew both of the boys would eat practically all of it. Grabbing some plates I put them on the counter before calling over to the three rugrats.
"Guys food is ready." Immediately I heard the sounds of Luke and Ethan's feet bounding towards me. Macey trailed behind them knowing not to get in their way when they heard the word food. If you were in their way you would most likely be trampled, we both learned that years ago.
"Please don't eat all of it okay. Save some for Mace and I." I commented as they grabbed plates.
"You're the best Car." Ethan said placing a kiss on the top of my head before moving to scoop some eggs. I felt myself turning bright red and ducked my head. My stomach erupted into butterflies. Damn him and his way of making my knees feel like jello. I leaned against the counter trying to get my knees to stop feeling so weak.
As Macey passed by me quickly squeezing my shoulder sympathetically before grabbing a plate for herself. Both of us knew that the kiss didn't mean anything but of course my heart didn't know nor get that. It pounded away as I willed the blush to go away. You would think that after 4 years of my silent love I would be use to these feelings but they seemed to grow even more.
"Carter are you coming to come eat or not?" Luke asked already back in the living room with everyone else. Shaking my head I grabbed a plate before heading to the living room as well. As I predicted both boys had their plates filled and were busy munching away. Sliding next to Macey I got comfortable as Ethan turned the tv on something.
"So Macey I never really asked, what are you majoring in?" Ethan asked bringing a piece of bacon to his lips.
"I'm studying to be a Chemical Engineer."
"Wow I didn't know you were that smart." Luke commented looking impressed. Macey stuck her tongue out at him but didn't reply.
"But seriously that is pretty cool. Isn't that a really tough major though?" Ethan asked.
"Not if you are as smart as she is." I muttered taking a bite of my toast.
"It can be hard but since I am so interested in it I feel like I will okay, and isn't college where you stress about homework and tests, all the while having a great time?" Macey answered.
We all talked back and forth while we ate about our classes and what kind of games the boys will be playing. I cleaned up the kitchen shortly after because of course I got nominated to do so. But after threatening my brother that I wouldn't come over and cook if he didn't help me, he did. While I washed and he dried I felt myself content for the moment. It felt like we were both back home and cleaning up after just eating with our parents. And it also helped that he kept complaining about how I had to pick out real plates instead of the plastic ones they had. Yeah just like old times.
The boys decided to let Macey and I play Call Of Duty with them but of course not without making a huge deal about how we couldn't play. After both arguing over who would get me and Macey they finally decided I would be with Ethan and Macey with Luke. I would like to disagree with both boys that we did know how to play but I couldn't. Macey and I both sucked ass at this game even though we have tried to play it hundred of times.
"Carter!" Ethan groaned in front of me as his player died again.
"What! I didn't do anything!" I protested trying to reload my gun.
"You let Luke shoot me! I told you to keep watch and shoot anyone who comes this way, or at least to tell me." Apparently my skills on this game was a zero. I rolled my eyes at him before hitting the button to make me scope out. Someone passed through the lens making me hit the fire button repeatedly.
"I died!" Macey yelled a second later, hitting the buttons on the controller repeatedly.
"Yes!" I yelled right back not having known it was her. That was what 2 kills so far...doing pretty good.
"We shouldn't have let them played dude." Luke muttered over to Ethan. With one hand I slapped the back of his head before returning it to my controller. Macey and I had the couch to ourselves as we made the boys take the floor below us.
"Women are mean." He muttered again. Mace and I shared a smirk. They are such babies.
For the next 40 minutes we played COD us girls dying more times then I can remember and the boys yelling at us for getting them shot. Apparently the boys didn't think either of our 4 kills were impressive, well compared to their 20 or so it wasn't.
It was now nearing 5 o'clock and the sleep I didn't get last night was already starting to catch up to me. The had shut off the playstation a few minutes ago and now we were all just sitting around playing on our phones. Sadly like our entire generation.
"What are you guys doing tonight?" Mace asked putting her phone in her lap.
"We are meeting the boys for a team dinner in a little while. What about you?" Luke asked.
"We haven't thought about anything yet." She looked at me. I was slightly disappointed we wouldn't be hanging out with them for a little while longer but I knew I couldn't hang out with my brother all the time now.
"We may just get some dinner with Amy then call it a night. I have classes early tomorrow." I commented.
"You may want to go and eat now. Everything on campus is going to be busy here in a little bit." Ethan said
"That's true I don't want to stand around waiting for a table forever." Macey stood up and let out a yawn.
"Yeah we better go." I stood up as well stretching.
"Okay well let me know when you get home tonight." Luke stood up and come over to me. "Good luck tomorrow on your first day. Text or call me if you need anything. Even if it is to ask where what building is, okay?" He wrapped his long arms around me and pressing me tightly to his chest. I smile and hugged him back.
"I will. You have a good day tomorrow too. And make sure to actually go on time okay?"
"Yes mom."
"I'll find out and see if any of the boys are in any of your classes so they can show you around." He said looking at both Mace and I. I was going to argue and say he didn't need to do that but I kept my mouth closed. It couldn't hurt to have someone show us where to go I guess.
"Thank you for today." I smiled at my brother. I was glad we were going to the same college, even if I had to deal with Ethan to. I don't know if I could make it on my own in another one. Having my brother just made me feel less home sick.
"Where's my hug?" Ethan butted in shouldering Luke to the side. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Fine but only because you let Mace and I hang out with you guys." As we wrapped our arms around one another I pushed back any butterflies I was feeling. It was just a normal hug, like always.
"Okay we better get going. Have fun with the team." I said quickly stepping out of Ethan's hold. I didn't need him to see how he affected me. "See you guys tomorrow at the game. Good luck and go kick some ass!"
"Hell yeah we will. Bye you two be safe." Saying our last goodbyes Mace and I left their dorm to quickly head to ours to grab more money and to text Amy.
As we walked back to our place a smile graced my lips. Today was what I needed. Even though everyone was hungover it was fun. Being so close with my brother was making this easier. I knew Macey wouldn't admit but she was glad him and Ethan were here with us to. Pushing aside any nervousness about tomorrow I enjoyed this moment as we talked about what to eat.
