With my heart pounding in my chest and the butterflies in my stomach getting worse, I get on my tippy toes, shut my eyes and press my lips against Lukas'. I could feel my face turning red and the butterflies were getting worse. Lukas puts his hands on my face then we both hear my front door open and we both quickly pull away. "H-hi mom! Hi dad!" Lukas says when he sees his parents at my front door. I rub my neck and try my absolute best to turn invisible, but of course, it doesn't work. Lukas and I both look away from one another before slowly and awkwardly walking inside. I slowly walk over to the dinner table, and sit down next to Jay. "Dinner will be ready in five minutes!" I hear my mom say, happily. I pull out my phone.

After a long, awkward and quiet dinner, our parents go to the kitchen to talk. I could hear all of their whispers. Lukas, Jay and I all sit at the table, quietly. We all look at each other as all of our parents talk. I knew they had the same thought as me, 'Are we in trouble?' It would make sense if Lukas and I were in trouble for the kiss, but what about Jay? What did he do? I watch mom as she walks in holding a homemade cake. All of the rest our parents sit down and Lukas looks at me. I look at Jay and he shrugs. After a few minutes of me zoning out, all of a sudden, my mom and Lukas' mom say, "We're pregnant!" Lukas looks at his mom, "Pregnant...? I'm gonna be a brother!" He stands up and hugs his parents. "No way... Thats so freaking awesome!" Jay stands up and hugs mom and dad. I look at my parents before standing up. I don't hug my parents... I don't even look at them. Instead, I run up to my room and slam my door shut. I run to my bed and lay down before pulling out my phone and plugging in my headphones.

Maybe a whole hour passes, and the house was quiet. Lukas and his parents had left about twenty minutes ago and my parents were probably hanging out with Jay. I lay on my back, listening to my music. 'How can my parents have another baby... They can't even afford take care of both their kids right now!' I take put my headphones and sit up when I see my door open. "Hey honey... You got a minute?" I look at my dad as he sits on my bed. I nod and turn off my phone. "We all saw how you reacted to the pregnancy news... And I just wanted you to know that... no natter what, your mother and I will always make time for you and Jay." I look at my bed. His messy chocolate brown hair. His tanned skin. His purple eyes... I look at the scar on my fathers left eye before looking down. "Jesse?" My dad grabs my face. I look at him once more. "Thats not the only reason I came up here... Your mom and I both agreed and you have a doctors appointment this Saturday for your... situation." I frown and look away from my dad. I could feel him staring at me. I knew he was disappointed in me... 'wait... next this Saturday? But thats the first day of the musical! And my appointments take so long!' I cross my arms and look away from my dad. "We love you, Jesse. We just... We just want you happy." My dad says before walking out of the room. "..." I shut my eyes and lay back. I wanted to slap myself, or scream. Or cry... but I don't. I just lay still, and ignore everything. I see my phone light up, then I look at it.

One new message from Hannah.

'Whatever' I turn over and lay on my side, then I sit up and grab my phone. I read the message and a slight smile appears on my face. I could feel my confidence suddenly go up once I had read that message. I look at the message almost five times.

I can make you popular, Jesse. At least... not an outcast. Meet me at school at 7 am tomorrow and we'll get started.
