Lukas looks at me as we sit at the table, by ourselves. I rub my neck and he smiles at me a little, "I'm glad that happened, Jesse." Lukas says as he holds my hand and I rub my neck with my other hand. "Glad what happened?" Jay asks as he walks in. Lukas and I both look at each other then Jay. Jay sits on the other side of the table and raises his eyebrow, "Did you two sleep together or something?" He laughs and Lukas turns pure red, "NO!" I start to chew on my lower lip out of nervousness and I could feel my face turning red. "Alright." Jay laughs then he walks out of the room. A few moments pass and its still just me and Lukas sitting together at the table. Lukas taps his chin before smiling at me, "Hey, Jesse. Why is sign language so helpful?" I look at him then shrug, "Because its so handy!" He says before letting out a small laugh. I roll my eyes and smile. He starts talking but I don't even notice what he is saying. I just stare at him and blush. I smile a little then he looks at me, "Jesse?" I tilt my head and look at him, "Have you always looked... This blurry?" He blinks and stares at me. I raise my eyebrow and he keeps looking at me, with a confused look on his face. Before Lukas can say anything else, my parents walk in and sit down.

I look at my hands as everyone else sits down for dinner. I could feel everyone's eyes on me as I ate my salad. Everyone else ate chicken and mashed potatoes. I look at my brother as he texts on his phone. Lukas looks at Jay as well. "Jay, no texting during dinner." I could hear my dad saying. "But dad, I'm texting my girlfriend!" Lukas and I both look at each other. I could tell we both were sharing the same thought, 'since when does he have a girlfriend?!' I look at Jay and he stares back at me, "You guy's didn't know?! I've been dating Petra for two weeks now!" Jay exclaims. I look right back at my salad then take a sip of my water. "Cool, Maybe you, me, Petra and Jennifer can make it a double date." Lukas says. I put down my fork, 'how could he say that, after what had happened upstairs?!' I could feel Lukas staring at me then he says, "I'm just kidding."

A few hours go by. We had a nice dinner and some home made ice cream for dessert. I lay in my bed, playing a game on Lukas' phone while he uses my bathroom to take a quick shower. I felt sick... I could see that Jennifer was texting him. Non-stop. She was being very... rude and clingy. I sit up then put Lukas' phone down. I didn't want to read her messages... I hear the shower water stop then I lay back down and pull out the picture Petra had seen a few weeks back. I look at it and tear up. I lay the photo on my chest as tears roll down my cheeks, slowly... 'I miss you...'
