It's day two. His hyungs know of her. Two days since he last saw her, since he last spoke to her. She never bothered to call, never bothered to text. He did. But there was never a reply.
At day three, he gave up trying. He only cried.
Betrayed.
Hurt.
"You have to eat something, baby."
It was Jin.
No response.
"Bunny, come on. Come with hyung. Everyone is worried about you. Come, eat something with us."
He let himself be dragged down to the dinning table. Allowed Jin to help him sit, allowed the man to serve him.
Didn't hear the greetings from the rest of his hyungs.
He felt a tap at his lips and on instinct, opened them, allowing Jin to feed him. He seemed to register the food in his mouth when Jin gently tapped his jaw with a soft command "chew."
And he broke.
Tears pouring down his eyes.
A sob.
Two.
He felt himself pulled against someone's chest.
"Shh, shh. You're okay. It's okay."
But it's not.
It's not okay.
The hands never leave him, the tears don't stop.
"My baby, my poor baby," he hears Jimin murmur.
Day five, Taehyung drags Jungkook to play overwatch with him to keep him away from his phone. Namjoon handles the news, but he ensures none of it reaches Jungkook, not right then with the state the younger is in at least.
He vows to protect their maknae as he watched his smaller figure curled up beside Taehyung, not a hint of a smile on his face, eyes unfocused on the screen as his youngest hyung tries to cheer him up, passing a hilarious comment after every second or two.
Day eight, Yoongi draws Jungkook out of his bedroom and pulls him towards his own. He wraps a protective arm around the younger's waist and kisses the top of his head.
The action causes Jungkook to reduce to tears, but Yoongi hardly seems to care as he continues to shower his maknae with love.
After an hour, comes a mumbled apology.
"Why?"
"I'm always crying."
"You've experienced a heartbreak. That's pretty nasty and it can take a real long time to heal."
"Will it ever stop hurting?" Jungkook chokes.
"It will. One day. Till then, our arms are open for you," said Yoongi, and Jungkook buried himself further in the man's embrace.
Ten days after the break up, Jungkook shuffles into Namjoon's room. His cheeks are blotchy, eyes red.
Namjoon looks up at his entry, his gaze softening.
He hardly has a chance to say anything when he finds his arms full of a sobbing maknae.
"Jungkookie—" he mumbles, wrapping his arms around the younger male.
"I'm sorry. I'm s-so sorry. I care. I care about the band. I'm sorry."
Namjoon tears up as he holds the other tighter in his embrace.
"I know. I know you care."
"I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't understand. I know how it is, love. It's easy to feel caged in this life we're living, easy to feel curious about what life could be like outside this fame. I don't blame you, love. I don't blame you. I just...hate seeing you hurt."
Jungkook is crying, gripping the man's shoulder tight. Honestly, the younger is sick of it, sick of how depressed he feels.
Namjoon rocks him slightly.
"How...how do I make it stop hurting? Hyung—"
"You deserve so much love, baby. I just hope you know that. She couldn't give you that. She was wrong for you. I need you to remind yourself of it every moment you get, to remind yourself you deserve better. Accept it, that she was not right for you and that you deserve someone who will love you right."
Jungkook rested his head on Namjoon's shoulder, cries stopping abruptly, suddenly feeling defeated.
"I know...I know, baby. It hurts, I know. You'll be okay. Hyungs are here with you. You're gonna be okay."
