"Will we get there soon? It's just about dawn." Levi asks as I stood next to him, peering into the darkness that looked like it could easily swallow me up whole. We were on our way to Shinganshina to plug up the hole and it was night time at the moment as we travelled on foot through the woods.

Now is not the time to act up from your fear of the darkness (y/n)! Don't be pathetic!

Everyone continued walking and I inch closer to (h/n), absolutely terrified out of my mind. He huffs softly, nudging my back as I held the lamp tightly to my chest to stop my hands from shaking. (h/n) somehow knew how scared I was, shaking in my boots and he swats Levi's head with his tail.

"Oi, who's shitty horse is hitting me?" Levi hisses out but frowns when he sees (h/n) huff at him before nodding over to me. Levi looks over at me shaking and he furrows his brows. "(L/n) are you scared?"

"Nope! Why would I be?" I stutter out and I hear Jean chuckles behind me.

"Sounds like you're scared of the wee little dark." Jean baby talk and I glare at him as he mocks me.

"Of course I'm scared! Everyone has a fear, well the majority in this world would be scared of dying at the hands of a titan but there are common ones and I had to get the basic bitch fear that is being terrified of the dark! You never know what could be lurking in the shadows, waiting for you to just reach out and snatch you by the throat and pull you into the dark void. It's like a black hole on earth, you don't know what's in it and you don't know if anyone can hear you scream like in space. The darkness is death, that's also why I hate sleeping cause it's temporary death every time you blackout. You never know when the day comes that you don't wake up again." I pant out, breathing heavily after my long-winded spiel of words that just continued to tumble out of my mouth no matter how hard I tried to stop it.

"Fuck (y/n) you're making me scared now." Jean mutters out and I turn around to see Connie whipping his head around like he was trying to see if there was anything in the darkness.

"T-there's nothing out there r-right? Besides t-titans?" He shrieks and jumps onto Jean when he hears a hoot and both of them shake in fear.

"Dumb brats." Levi mutters out and steps closer to me, almost like he was covering for one side while (h/n) did the other. They were protecting me. "Is this better brat?" Levi mumbles and I nod.

"Thanks Levi. Sorry for the whole speech back there..." He just nods and we continue walking down the path until we break through and finally see Shinganshina.

"We're finally home..." Mikasa mutters out and Levi nods towards me and I turn around to face the scouts.

"Now, the enemy will already be at the walls, waiting for you. They won't be hiding in the abandoned houses but in a hole in the wall. Find that hole and you find them. But be careful, Reiner and Bertholdt has the Beast titan on their side." The scouts all nod, saluting me and everyone quickly gets on their horses.

"Make sure to keep Eren and (y/n) safe! Keep your hoods up and do not speak out loud." Erwin commands and I tug my hood over my head, ready to fight. The horses quickly gallop down the road, my fake ODM gear rattling around my waist. I still had to blend in to look like a scout. "This operation has officially begun! All troops, switch to ODM gear!" Levi stands up on his horse, jumping onto mine and grabbing me before zipping up on the roof. We land with the others and I see the three childhood friends freeze seeing their home town.

"Don't stop! You get to the outer gate!" Levi yells we run side by side past Eren, Mikasa and Armin. I was checking the wall for any holes since I couldn't remember the exact location of where the traitors were hiding. We finally reach the outer gate with Hanji and her crew and I wait until Eren reaches our side. I look up and see him fly above us, biting down on his hand as lightning cracks down on him and he transforms. In no time, Eren manages to block the hole of the outer wall but I know Reiner and Bertholdt saw the lightning.

"Keep an eye out! Just as (y/n) said, the enemy is here and must've seen Eren transform!" Hanji commands and everyone immediately runs for the inner gate as Hanji called out for it. I search around the inner walls as I run and I see a sliver of a crack that was misshapen near the inner wall.

There you are.

"Levi." I mutter out and he turns to me and I point to the wall. He narrows his eyes and nods, calling over Armin and Erwin to let them know.

"We have the upper hand here. They don't know that we have discovered their hiding spot thanks to (y/n)." Erwin compliments me but I shake my head.

"Don't be so confident. Reiner and Bertholdt knows about me knowing the future and being from another world. I think they told the Beast titan."

"They must have hidden somewhere else just in case." Armin mutters out, thinking while staring at the spot.

"It's a gamble we have to take. (y/n), it's time." I nod at Erwin and get ready to transform. I jump over the side, nicking my skin and I hear the familiar buzzing before lightning cracks down on me. I turn around to face the hole as I transform midair, punching through the cardboard easily.

It's empty-

"(y/n)! Shit!" I screech out in pain as Reiner jumps out from the side and zips up my arm to blind me. "Reiner!" I drop to my knees, howling at the burning pain of my eyes and I hear Levi yell out in anger.

"(Y/N)! MY BABY NO!" Hanji yells out, hearing her scream as I press my hands to my eyes.

Fuck that hurts so much!

"(y/n) are you ok?" I feel Levi drop on my knees and I try to blink my eyes open when I feel the familiar heat of someone transforming behind me. "You need to move, Reiner is behind you." I hiss out, tears falling down my face as I open my eyes to see splotches of red and a blurry figure.

"Levi?" I mutter out, carefully reaching out for him.

"Shit, you can't see. I need to get you out-" I hear multiple explosions in the distance and I know that a horde of titans was just created.

Oh, we are so fucked.

I wince, blinking rapidly as I look up to see the horde of titans and the ugly ass Beast titan as it winds up its arm to throw a boulder. "Fuck..." I watch as the boulder hits the exit for the scouts on their horses, my vision clearing up just a little. I crouch down and jump up into the sky, landing on top of the wall to see how bad the situation was. Levi was next to me, cursing softly seeing the number of titans there were.

There's more than there was in the anime...

"Do not engage with the armor titan! Stay clear from it as much as possible!" Erwin yells out and I look over the edge to see Reiner climbing up the wall. The steam finally goes away from my eyes and I can see clearly again.

Oh thank god.

I'm already blind enough as it is without my glasses here.

"You finally ready to say something Erwin? Been waiting so long I could've made breakfast." Levi asks once Erwin came up with a plan that he starts commanding out orders to the squads, half to protect the horses and the other to fight off the titans.

Levi was about to go off with his squad but I stop him. "Erwin needs you to kill Beast." I gruff out and Erwin nods, explaining to Levi.

"Understood sir. I wasn't fast enough to finish off the armour one earlier but I'll atone for that by taking the Beast Titans head." Levi zips off and Erwin looks at me.

"You know what to do. Protect everyone but use your skill as a last resort. We can't have the enemy know of your power." I huff out, nodding and I jump over the edge and running towards Levi to help him and the other scouts kill off the smaller titans. The fight draws on for a while between Eren and Reiner but I freeze when I hear Reiner scream out for Bertholdt.

"What was that!?" A random scout exclaims.

"Fall back! Now! And don't stop!" I yell out, bursting forward into a run to try and grab the other scouts to safety as I see the Beast titan throw the barrel that Bertholdt was in. "Hanji! Bertholdt!" I yell out at her, pointing to the sky and everyone immediately falls back quickly.
