Reader Insert 3 - Your first date

Sherlock - You rushed downstairs and saw that Sherlock was already half-way through the door.

"Sherlock!" You shouted, getting his attention.

"What could you possibly want now?"

"Are we not going out?" You ask feeling quite hurt.

"Oh yeah. Let's go then." You smiled awkwardly and followed him the cab that was waiting outside. Your car ride to the theatre was complete silence, but during the film, it was the exact opposite. You sat next to Sherlock, smiling as the main character and the antagonist said their vows. Sherlock leaned close to you.

"She's marrying them because she's going to take over the government." He said not even trying to retain a whisper. You hushed him and rolled your eyes at the comment. Turns out he was right, a few people turned to look at him. He looked at them disgusted. After more thinking out loud and unnecessary spoilers, Sherlock and yourself were asked to leave the theatre. You giggled pulling him away from the front doors.

"I can't believe you got us kicked out."

"Spoilsport." He said flicking his scarf over his shoulder.

"You are the one who told the ending." You said punching him lightly in the arm.

"Maybe theatre isn't my thing, we could go-"

"Skating!' You shouted excitedly.

"Yes of course, but not because you want to, it's because we haven't anything else to do." He said trying to hide the fact he really did have feelings for you.

John - You walked downstairs, wrapping a scarf around you before answering the door.
"John!" You said happily embracing him. He hugged you back, taking in the smell of your new perfume. He smiled, realizing it's the one he bought you for your birthday.

"You look nice." He said taking in all of you at once.

"Thank you, you do too." You said, awkwardly smiling. He chuckled a bit as he watched your face turn light pink.

"You ready to go?" He said looking back at the cab. You nodded as you went to lock your door. You turned to see John's arm outstretched with his hand open, waiting for someone else's hand to take it. You blushed again placing your hand on his, you looked up and your eyes met his. He had a smile plastered on his face. He led you to the cab and you chatted on the way to the ice rink, after you arrived he helped you out of the cab and led you inside. The both of you got your tickets and skates and put them on. You giggled as you slid onto the floor.

"John!" You exclaimed. "I have the grace of a newborn giraffe!" You said as you quickly got closer to the ground. John raced towards you grabbing your hands and pulling you close to him, you laughed quietly as you twirled around him for a moment. He skated backward holding your hands and pulling you along. You both laughed as he spun you around.

The evening progressed and you both tired from all the skating. You returned home with John right behind you.

"How about some cocoa?" You asked walking into the kitchen.

"Sounds lovely." He said taking his coat off and placing it on the rack. You brought the cocoa out and set it on the living room table and you both sat and chatted while sipping your warm drinks.

"Do you have any movies?" He asked looking towards the tv. You nodded. "Do you have Lord of the Rings?" He asked curiously. You smiled and ran to grab your favorite movie. You snuggled against him as you both watched the movie and enjoyed the rest of your night together as an official couple.

Mycroft - You applied the finishing touches of your makeup before cleaning up after yourself and walking downstairs. The quiet click of your heels alerted Mycroft that you were coming.

"Ah, Ms. (Y/L) right on time, and might I add you look as lovely as always." He spoke kindly a ghost of a smile threatening to appear upon his lips. You smiled sweetly as you straightened your belt.

"You look rather charming yourself." You said walking towards him. You looked up meeting his icy blue eyes and he met your vivid (e/c) ones.

"As much as I'd like to stay here all night, I do believe we have a dinner reservation for two, do we not?" He spoke quickly turning towards the door. You looked down and followed him towards the cab that was waiting for the both of you. He helped you into the car and out when you arrived at the restaurant. You were seated and had placed your orders and you couldn't help but lock stares once more.

"Your so full of life," He said looking down at the table smiling.  "Your collected  unspoken thoughts dance around in your head as they wait to be chosen to be a new existence." He said making your heart flutter. He was looking back and feeling emotions. You smile and nod your head.

"Deducing me again, are you Mister Holmes?" You ask taking a sip of your wine.

"Your eyes are like windows to your soul." He said smiling at you. "No need for deduction when the beauty of your mind slaps you in the face itself." He said smoothly. You giggled.

"Mr. Holmes, are you trying to flirt with me?" You asked hiding a smile behind your glass.

"Oh goodness no! After all this is the first date, and besides, I do have morals." He joked watching your smile grow bigger.

"Of course," You smiled. "Mr. British Government wouldn't want to ruin his reputation with someone like me." You joked.

"Don't call me that." He said smiling.

"Well, Mr. Holmes. I think it suits you." You said laughing.

"I'm a minor part of the Government."

"You're the queen." You said under your breath.

"I am not!" He said laughing at your statement.

You both talked and laughed the evening away before returning home and watching some tv. The evening was one of the best ones you've had in a while.

Greg  -  You sat in the cab chatting with Greg and before you knew it you were pulled into a lot of a nice building, nothing to fancy, but it wasn't a cheeky Nandos either. "Greg, is this a date?" You said as he pulled you out of the car.

"If you want it to be." He opened the doors.

"I mean I guess it could be.." You paused. " Yeah, I think I want it to be." You said looking up at him as you walked forward.

"Well then, should we get a candle?" He joked.

"How romantic." You sarcastically stated as you plopped down at a table. You hated romance it the most annoying thing ever, all these couples together holding hands and hugging. Blah. You haven't the time for that.

"If you aren't looking for romance then what are you looking for?" He asked blowing the candle out and sliding it to the edge of the table.

"I'm looking for fun." You said placing your chin on your palm. The chatted the evening away with questions and cheesy pickup lines, maybe a relationship should be something you make time for in that busy schedule of yours. Maybe you would make time for it, but only for Lestrade. You don't change your life for just anyone.

Moriarty  -  As you put on a fresh coat of lip gloss a knock echoed from the door.

"Just a moment!" You call. You rushed downstairs putting on your necklace in the process. You fix your bangs on last time and open the door.

"Hi." He said, his little Irish accent just as cute as him.

"Good evening!" You say, embracing him in a quick hug.

"You look stunning." He smiled.

"Thank you, you look wonderful as well." You smiled back.

"Shall we be off?"

"We shall." James held out his hand and for you to take. He then leads you to a dark limousine., opening the door for like a true gentleman and then gets in himself. "This is a bit much for a first date, don't you think?

"Nothing is too much when it comes to sweeping a pretty girl off her feet." He says handing a piece of paper, which seems to be an address. You smile.

"Well is the place we're heading just as fancy as the transportation."

"Hm, well maybe the second place. The first is just a bank. "

"And what gave you the idea to take a girl to the bank on the first date?"

"Well, in order to sweep you off your feet I should probably have money to pay for her dinner."

"Ah, I see." You say. The rest of the car ride was filled with small talk.

"Do you have your badge?"

"Um, not tonight. Why?"

"Well, I have a lot of account numbers you see. I get them confused and I thought your badge might be a good back-up.." He said getting out of the car and walking towards your side.

"That'd be funny if you were accused of attempting to rob a bank on our first date." He gave an awkward laugh.

"Yeah that would be funny, wouldn't it?" You both stood there like a pair of fools, basically gawking at each other. That is until you finally spoke up.

"Shall we be off then?"

"Oh, Yeah. Let's go."

"Sir I'm sorry but these signatures can't be found." The banker apologized from behind the counter.

"Hm..try this." James handed the banker a piece of paper. The banker immediately went off somewhere and returned with an envelope.

"Here you are, Sir. Have a nice evening."

"Yes, you as well," James said as you both walked out of the bank.

"What was that piece of paper, a note saying you were robbing a bank?" You laughed.

"Of course, how else would I have gotten the money?" He laughed. Little did you know, you were right, but that didn't matter because you went on the perfect date with a perfect man and you were perfectly oblivious you were, in fact, an alliance to a bank robbery. Everything was..well...Perfect.

A/n Tbh I had like no inspiration for John, but it was the most fun to write. Hope you guys don't mind some being a little longer than others. I try to make them all around 200 words. Any requests for any others to do preferences?
