28. Spiders.
Oh wise Athena!
I shall always be better.
Contest of finer weaving,
Wasn't of sound principles.
Skilled fingers laced together,
Fabricating a master piece.
Revealing flaws of the makers,
Who throne on Mount Olympus.
Warming their precious seats.
Awaiting an apocalypse.
Fuelled by Ira and incompetence,
You curse me into my best.
Permanence of the known fact,
Arachane reigning the weaves.
I find repose in my blaspheme.
Smirk and weave another trap.
Beautiful, flawless and perfect.
Acing the revenge of injustice.
Mistake upon mistake,
You write my prowess,
Into history as my story is retold,
Once again.
Spiders are still trialling earth,
Skill will overshadow power.
I'm cursed to be better,
Than you, oh wise Athena.
