"ragu......you...k-knife! ...w-what are you doing with knife...?" swara stammered still unable to get out from shock.

ragu turned her like a whirl.. & both got seated in bed..

"urgh shona! again that fearfilled eyes" ragini's eye turned glassy..

"look now mom will punish me.." swara's concentration is still on her so called mom..

" let her call.. I don't know anything I won't leave u to go near her now..I know she must be calling u for some bloody work ' swara sweep the floor' 'swara bring mop & clean floor once' " ragini mimicked janaki's words pissed of strangely..

"ragu..I must go atleast keeping a bit respect for her after all she is my father's wife" swara replied slowly being such a sweetheart.

"yeah true shona (Sat comfortably in bed) look I'm not saying that you should not respect her..you should respect.. you should listen to after all she is  elder to you.. what I said with you? I said just you should not behave like you are standing infront of some kinda monster when you stand in front of her... your that fearfilled eyes.. ugh!..I hate those..I want only beeming glow in ur eyes always ..." ragini went on saying but interpreted by swara..

" ragu it's just more than impossible for me..(teary eyed) I just shiver looking at her redshot eyes...I'm filled with fear inside me..it can't be changed.. the fact can't be changed that I'm scary kitten in front of her..I hate myself at that time..but I'm helpless...only I was taught to be scared since childhood... " swara cried ..

"swara " swara looked up sensing hurt in ragini's voice..

"swara you disappointed me..I'm highly disappointed.. in these one month I trained you well to be strong (shaking swara's shoulders) to be bold ...b-but you never changed nor you tried to..you should talk frankly with janaki aunty........." ragini's words incomplete as swara interrupted again..

" You may say ragini ..you will go today teaching me all this..I will do as you said & will suffer alone..will get whipped from her till the belt breaks..will stay out of house till sunrises..will stand dipping my half leg inside sand at noon...will beg for food forwarding my hands in front mom as I will be starved without food that too when she laughs evilly... I will...no I can't say anymore ...." she went out crying palming her mouth..

Ragini keep on looking at swara's disappearing figure...she cried hearing this from a strong swara's mouth...swara never used to say any complaints about her step mom to anyone... but today she did.. means that much it pierced her heart.

"m-mom you c-called m-me?" swara asked nearing janaki, standing all shivering..

"where the hell were you ? " janaki held her pony so tight that stumbled swara making a tear drop touching the ground.

" m-mom v-voh I w-was in washroom " swara lied while whining in pain..

"You!! (Tightning the hold on pony)(swara cried due to pain) how dare you reason me?" janaki fumed seeing swara answering her...

janaki kept swara hidden.. like swara is some servant.. swara have to do all household chores & if something by mistake goes wrong she punishes her brutally...not only this swara should not talk if she questioned also ...if swara answered also she beats ..if she didn't also she whips...swara is out of liberty!!

swara kept silent... her head started to ache badly due to janaki's tight grip...she silently cried..not even have freedom to cry!

" I would have powdered one belt whipping u to water ur attitude, maybe ur luck meena aunty (ragini's mom) is on the way" janaki is unable to digest her anger..

swara's patience is really appreciable one....swara never feels bad when janaki scolds her bcz it's the daily happenings... it became normal for swara to hear these ..to bear these...these are just silly when compared to punishments she get daily...

"oyye! *waving hands in front of her* now don't stand here & there...go & clean that mess..I was drinking coffee & cup slipped from hand breaking cup in pieces... go & clean before they come" janaki ordered as if mistake was swara's...

swara silently nodded & headed towards storeroom in search of cloth & broomstick..

swara's pov:

is it my fault that cup broken in her hand? why she always roars? I would have done all works happily if she just ordered without roaring... God! what would have happened if I broken that cup? I feel like fainting thinking about the consequences... she would have hit my head to wall..in the process blood would have oozed out & she would have blamed me for leaving blood marks in wall!!....what a wonderful life I'm tasting...

she sighed heavily & took broomstick & cleaned everything in no seconds... bcz she is habitual of working.. cleaning.. everything..!!

"shona! wear that red Kurtis & come out soon...mom came" ragini shouted banging on the closed room's door continuously..

"haan I'm coming u go..." swara replied back...

"shona ur baba too came...come fast ..I won't budge from here till u come out" ragini said stubbornly still banging..

"how I look" swara asked coming out ..

"gorgeous... btw shona is anyone came with proposal for you?" ragini asked suppressing her laugh..

"no...why...what!?" swara is hell confused..

"nothing looking at you blushing hard I just asked" now ragini burst out laughing while descending down the stairs.....

swara punched on ragini's stomach...

"auch..." ragini stumbled..

"what happened beta?.." meena aunty turned and asked ...

ragini & swara saw each other's faces ...swara glared her...ragini gulped..

"nothing aunty it's just your daughter's got mad" swara immediately said glaring ragu..ragini smiled sheepishly..

"namaskar aunty ji" swara bend down to take blessings...

"Stay blessed and happy kid" meena aunty made her stand by holding her shoulders & planted a kiss on her head...

swara closed her eyes feeling special feeling... no one loved her till now nor anyone pretend to love her..not anyone kissed her other than her dad & bro ..but it is different.. she felt like she is standing in front of her mom...poor girl don't know what is mother's love & care ..she is craving for that...she thought this is more than anything... such was her crave for love...

"swara this my neighbor sheetal" meena aunty introduced her..

"namaskar aunty ji" swara took blessings from her too..

she is smiling like she is in paradise.. anyone who knows her well may be surprised how can she be able to keep smiling outside... wah! such an awesome personality!!

"aunty coffee ya tea?" swara asked..

"coffee" meena & sheetal said at once..

she went in..

"this new mom is heartless I think! otherwise who will sit there in sofa in front of guests like she is some don!! it has been 5 minutes since they came but she now bothered to treat them with juice or coffee.. such a ruthless women!!" swara thought & nodded her head in disbelief...

she came out of kitchen with tray & served them Smiling...

she seated beside ragini..

there was a little silence..

" You are beautiful beta " sheetal said looking at swara lovingly..

swara blinked her eyes once..

she blinked twice...

"What happened swara ? did I said anything wrong? I just said you are beautiful..." sheetal felt bit strange yet shrugged & continued to smile...

"Th-thank you Aunty" swara still unable to believe..

"don't say that you are r shekar's daughter with anyone... it will be a shame on myself.. look at yourself in mirror how weird u looks" janaki's words are ringing in her ear ...this is the exact words she said once in party...

no one till now said anything with her...no one appreciated her..maybe bcz she have no mother..she sighed...& let her thoughts go..

shekar is sitting there in proud smile for his daughter..

"I loved your personality... if I had any son I would have made you my daughter in law, but unfortunately I don't have children...*sad smile* your character is just waw! janaki is lucky to have you!!" sheetal continued to appreciate swara bcz she loved swara...

"CHARACTER!! ..." swara looked at sheetals face murmuring..

sheetal nodded in yes..

" You are such a character less girl ,I feel disgusting to keep you at my home...to bring a bad name to me! u will poison my existence... such is your shit called CHARACTER!" janaki's taunt moment came just like a moving picture in front of her...

she stood up from couch & ran palming her mouth crying making everyone shock...

"I didn't mean to hurt you kid" sheetal stood up..

"beta swear on God I was saying truth...don't think that I'm making fun of you! don't take me Wrong" sheetal felt really bad looking at swara who is closing room's door entering inside...
