Chapter 37: The Trust

Merry Christmas!! I wanted to give you all a chapter for Christmas! Hopefully this isn't too terrible. Onto the chapter!
---------------------------------------------------------------

Sebastian's POV
As I walked around the manor, I looked outside a window to see a certain irritating red-headed pest talking to that angel and cat demon. Did they know each other? I thought to myself. 'What is the relationship between Grell and those two?' I looked at them again and saw that they disappeared in a bright flash of light. I began to head to Raven's and Annabel's room to check on them. I slowly opened the door, trying to be quiet as possible. Annabel was still sleeping and Raven began to stir. I shut the door lightly and left, going to the young master's office. I knocked on his door lightly. No response. I knocked again, a little louder this time. Still no response. I turned the doorknob and looked into the office. I chuckled quietly to myself. The young master was asleep in his chair. I thought if I should leave him be or wake him up. I decided to wake him soon and left the office, shutting the door behind me. I clapped my hands together and said aloud,"Now then, I shall tend to the manor and make breakfast for the young master and his guests."

Raven's POV
With a groan, I woke and sat up, trying to get myself together. My head still pounded, but it was not as bad as it was a few hours ago. 'I'm surprised that you have not gone insane yet. You are very close to falling into the pit of madness if you do not decide soon, that I know.' My angel side said to me with certainty. 'Shut up. I'm not in the mood.' I said to her angrily. My demon side appeared next to her with a devilish grin. 'After having to deal with us constantly dueling and persisting you to join a side, you still haven't lost your sanity. Why is that?' I honestly didn't know the answer to that. After years of mental torture with these two, I don't understand why I haven't torn myself, or anyone for that matter, into pieces. I felt a tug on my arm. Both the angel and demon side left, leaving me alone in my infinite abyss of that which was my mind. I looked down to see Annabel slowly waking up, blinking her eyes slowly. "Are you alright?" She asked me quietly, trying to shake out the weariness in her head. No, I wasn't alright. I never was, and never will be. I gave her a small fake smile while saying,"Yes, I'm perfectly alright." Annabel sat up and rubbed her eyes. "You know you can tell me anything right? I will try my best to help." I sighed and looked in her eyes. "Well, I don't necessarily think you can help me nor can I tell you what I'm having trouble with." Annabel looked hurt. She got out of bed and changed out of her nightgown to her other clothes. Annabel opened the door but before she left, she looked at me with no emotion. "After all we've been through, you still don't trust me enough to tell me what's on your mind? Ok. But if you ever need someone, I'll be there for you. Never forget that." She left, slamming the door behind her. I looked down at my hands, tears pooling in my eyes. "Damn you...Ash Landers...and Erebus Gethen Maura....damn you both..."
