Chapter 1

(There is no book 1. This book just takes place after the Big Five has been formed)

Rapunzel's POV

"Hey Elsa, can I talk to you?" I asked. She looked up. She was sitting next to Jack on the couch in the Big Five lounge. We had our own headquarters now. Jack and Elsa glanced at each other. Of course they were nervous about Elsa and me talking. We had fought before. Of course, I feel really bad about it. I mean, after all, I did try to poison her a couple of times and frame her a couple of times. And I did try to steal her boyfriend, Jack. But I was over it now. Really and truly.

"Sure Punzie." Elsa said, standing up. She followed me outside. Under the trees, it was cool and quiet. Snow crunched under our feet, thanks to Jack and Elsa. Each side of the headquarters had a different season. North was winter, East was spring, South was summer, and West was fall. I figured Elsa would be more comfortable here, in the North entrance.

"Elsa, I'm really sorry about everything I've done to you. You can have Jack. I won't do anything to get between you anymore." I promised.

"Are you sure Rapunzel? I mean, I know there was something between you guys before I showed up." She said.

"I'm sure. He's happier with you anyway. You know, some people say each of us represent a season. I'm spring. Both of you guys are winter. You obviously belong together." I said.

"That's really kind and mature of you." Elsa said with a smile. Suddenly the sky darkened.

"Well well well. That's too bad. When I wasn't busy killing all of you, I actually enjoyed watching the two of you fight." A voice said. Elsa and I both turned at the exact same time. Pitch Black.

"Well I'm sorry, but you'll just have to find something else to entertain yourself with." I said. Pitch smiled.

"Oh, you mean something like... this?" He asked. A tall thin black wand appeared in his hands. He looked at it, and then at us.

"I really wanted to test it out on Jack, but you two are his girlfriends, right?" He asked.

"Not anymore." I said.

"Ah, so just Elsa is now? You gave up?" Pitch asked.

"Stop messing with us Pitch! We can take you down no problem!" Elsa said.

"Ah, but that's just the thing! I've been doing my research darling Elsa. There are five of you and one of me.You can only defeat me because there are five of you. Six if you count the dragon. But if I even out the odds a little, then things are more fair. Shall I tell you how I'm going to do that?" He asked. We didn't respond. He held up the wand.

"This is the Wand of Darkness. It will suck the darkness out of a person and turn it into a living clone that is completely evil. Which means, of course, that I can control it." Pitch said with a smirk.

"We've got to destroy that wand." Elsa whispered to me.

"Yeah, but how?" I asked.

"I have no time to chit chat girls. Luckily, the first test subject is right here." He said. He pointed the wand at Elsa, and she suddenly froze. She started to glow black after a minent.

"Elsa!" I shouted, running forward. Pitch waved a hand, and some of his nightmare sand crashed into me and held me against a tree. I was helpless and could only watch as Elsa began to divide into two people.

"Behold, I present to you the dark side of Elsa! Asle!" Pitch declared as the two Elsa's separated completely. Now I could see the difference between them. There was the Elsa I recognized, with platinum blond hair, blue eyes, and a blue dress. And then there was something else. A girl with white hair, gray eyes, pale skin, and a black dress. Other than that, she looked just like Elsa. She groaned and stood up, then looked around.

"Can you hear me?" Pitch asked her. She blinked.

"Yes." She said.

"It works! It actually works! So now it's your turn Rapunzel. And then Jack, and then all of the others. And then, my dear Elsa, the odds will be- what's going on?" Pitch asked in surprise. Elsa had started glowing again. This time she was glowing multiple colors. Gray, yellow, blue, green, pink, brown, gold, and red. Suddenly, each color separated itself from Elsa and turned into a new person.

The girls each looked completely different. Some had short hair, some had long hair. Some had light colored hair, while others had pink or red hair. The dresses they wore were completely different as well. They were all different colors. One of the girls even wore a crown.

"Quickly girls! We must destroy Pitch!" One girl, a girl with long golden blond hair and a cream colored dress, said. She was wearing a small golden circlet on her head. She raised her hand, and all of the other girls mirrored her. Each girl shot a different beam at Pitch. The girl who had commanded the others shot pure light, while the others shot electricity, flowers, feathers, wind, water, numbers, and hearts.

Right before all of the beams hit Pitch, Asle jumped in the way and crossed her arms. A black shield formed around her and Pitch, and all of the beams vaporized on contact. After a moment, the girls stopped.

"I am more powerful than the eight of you. I alone shall control Elsa!" Asle shouted.

"We all make up Elsa! If any one of us tries to control her, she'll only be a shadow of her former self! A shadow of her power! You know that Asle!" Another girl, one with curly black hair, blue eyes, and a blue dress said. She also wore a crown with blue sapphires on her head.

"I'm the smallest fraction of Elsa's personality out of all of us, but I'm still the most powerful! I will not be ignored any longer! Elsa is mine!" Asle shouted, running toward Elsa's body. Pitch watched all of this with an amused expression. The girl in the cream dress blasted Asle back with light.

"Stella, step aside! I have as much a right to Elsa as the rest of you!" Asle said.

"That's why I will not destroy you. You're as much a part of Elsa as the rest of us. We will return to Elsa together!" Stella said.

"No!" Asle shouted, raising her arms. A black shockwave exploded outwards, and all of the girls were thrown into the air and vanished into the distance. All except for Stella. Pitch grabbed Asle's arm and vanished, and I was released from the tree. I ran to Elsa's side. She wasn't breathing or moving. She was dead.

"What am I going to tell Jack?" I moaned.
