By year 15, every girl and boy must have a beast bond and a power. Your beast bond could be anything: zebras, leopards, griffins,etc. But unlike your beast bond, you could only have one of seven powers: werewolf, vampire, air, fire, or nature. On rare occasions, some kids will get a power of telakanethis or water. Those were the only known powers on this planet.
     Skolris flipped through her text book on powers and beast bonds. Today would be the day for her to receive her power and beast bond. She practically bounced through the pages with excitement. Skolris turned 15 today and she couldn't wait until she got her partner and power.
Skolris looked into her mirror to make sure nothing was on her face. Her dark brown hair curled into little swirls that fell gently into her shoulders. Her smooth skin practically shined in the dim light and her lime green eyes flashed.
Skolris could hear her mother calling her down to walk out the door. I sprinted downstairs and she smiled.                        "Hey jumpy, are you ready to receive. your power and your beast bond?" She chimed in her ringy voice. "Yes yes yes yes!" I shouted. Skolris's mom had the power of nature and her beast bond was a small lemur. Her lemur, Juja,  had a greenish tinge to his grayish fur. Sometimes, your beast bond would end up big enough for you to ride.
     Skolris flew out the door and waved to her mom, he backpack flying off her back. He mother waved goodbye a Skolris hurried up the sidewalk towards her school. At the crosswalk, he saw her friend, Antariel, wave to her and she also was practically out of her shoes with excitement. Skolris sprinted up to her and the high fived. "OH MY GOD, SKOLRIS! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL GET?" She asked. Antariel didn't her time to talk. "I hope i get the power of telekinesis or ohh... air. Do you know what I don't want? Vampire. That would suck." She mused. "Well, I hope that I get the power of fire. Oh and I hope I get a beast bond big enough so that i can ride to it school. And it should be able to fly." Skolris  added. Antariel thought for a second. "I want a dragon
******** changes to first person**** bond." She declared. I rolled my eyes. "Yah right, dragon bonds are the rarest. I bet that you will get a squirrel." I joked. Antariel gave me a defiant look and laughed. Then, we both walked to the front gate of our school.
     Everyone in my grade made their way to the stadium, where we would be getting our bonds and powers. Me and Antariel strode up to the entereance where many kids were squeezing through the large archway. When me and my friend finally made it in, the stadium was packed. There were at least ten power booths and ten bond booths. We split up and went to our own destinations. I walked up to bond booth number four. It had the least amount of kids waiting for it.
     When it was almost her turn, i saw the kid in front of me reach into the bag and pull out what looked to be a small giraffe. When you pull your bond out of the beast bag, they come out small and then later, you can grow them to their final size. I stepped up the the teacher who was holding the bag and I closed my eyes. I slowly lifted my arm and brought it up the the large opening.
     I then slipped my hand in, ready to receive my beast bond.
