Ch14 - Advantage

The morning is dull and rainy, a typical occurrence during this city's rainy season. Despite the cold weather, the view remains tranquil and romantic.

However, for YoLo, things are heating up like a scorching summer!

Gia, discontented, hands a design to Tamara. Lately, Gia has become quite difficult to work with, offering blunt and gloomy comments, much like the dark sky.

"But we already made improvements twice..."

"Throw it away. Create a new one or choose something different," Gia declares, getting up and heading towards the coffee machine. It's her third cup of coffee this morning—she craves the caffeine boost to ease her frustrations.

Tamara, reaching her breaking point, exclaims, "You know what? I can't keep playing messenger between the two of you. If you have issues with each other, why not settle it like adults? I'm done with both of you, with Sorn. Why don't you just shoot me?"

"It's not my fault he received a subpar design from his department. Ever since the AD+ intern joined, we've veered off track from the project's true purpose. I mean, seriously! This isn't a merger; it's just a trivial project. We don't need to listen to them every single time!" Tamara struggles to contain her frustration, feeling trapped in the middle of this immature dispute between Gia and Sorn.

The whole situation began when AD+ decided to assign their interns to work alongside designers from Sorn's Design Department. Initially, Gia was against it. However, Sorn managed to convince her that this arrangement would provide valuable insights into how the project should be executed. They believed that clear communication would lead to a smooth path for both companies to complete the project and prepare for the campaign launch.

Unfortunately, Jules Adram, who consistently interferes, makes things absurd. He always shows favoritism towards his intern rather than the designers at YoLo. Jules frequently visits YoLo, closely monitoring every design and even rejecting them without consulting or discussing with the YoLo team. With Sorn being occupied with taking over the company while Cruise is absent, Gia is left to fill the leadership role. Naturally, she despises when decisions are made without her knowledge.

It's not that Jules doesn't have the right to make changes or provide instructions since this is also an AD+ project. However, Gia becomes infuriated by his actions and how he treats the YoLo designers. Jules is excessively snobbish and a nuisance!

Whenever Gia confronts him, he consistently criticizes the leadership at YoLo, which only further irritates her. Not to mention his other behaviors, including his "charming" but low-key flirtatious manner, which makes Gia feel insecure around him.

When Gia expressed her concerns, Sorn, overwhelmed with his responsibilities, simply brushed them off, suggesting that her dislike was clouding her judgment and urging her to act more professionally. Sorn's dismissal only fuels Gia's anger, and now she is determined to defy the expectations and carve her own path in this project.

"You know I won't give in, not even an inch," declares Gia.

"Fine! Ufff!" Tamara seizes the design board from her desk. It's time to confront Sorn once again.

Silently, Tamara pleads, "God, please help me!"

Gia enters the Modeling Department, finding herself more comfortable here than in the Design Department. She enjoys interacting with the models and sharing jokes with them. They appreciate Gia's presence and eagerly learn from her.

As she walks into the room, she notices all the models gathered in a circle. At first, she assumes they are playing a game during their break, and a smile forms on her face. However, as she approaches them, she hears the sound of sobbing.

"What's happening here?" Gia asks, her anger evident in her voice.

"Director..." one of the models starts, but the sentence hangs in the air, leaving Gia anxious for an explanation.

"I am well aware of your despicable nature, but have the decency to keep your crude attitude confined to AD+. Don't bring it here like a brainless fool, damn it!" Gia forcefully slams her hand on the table. Jules meets her gaze, remaining calm as he signals for Eric to leave the temporary office, leaving them alone.

"You certainly have a way with profanity..."

"Well, it's a piece of cake for a bastard like you!" Jules sighs, motioning towards the chair.

"I refuse to sit on this filthy chair, damn it!"

"We need to approach this discussion professionally..."

"Professional? You? Ha!" Gia scoffs, her glare fixed upon him. Jules smirks, casually leaning back in his chair.

Goodness, this woman is incredibly attractive when she's angry!

"You know, you're quite sexy," Jules remarks.

"Cut the nonsense, Jules! Let's get straight to the point. Who do you think you are, calling my model a pig?!" Jules bursts into laughter. Gia furrows her brow and bites her lip, clenching her fist.

"She is. Can't you see how large her belly is? Her thighs rubbing together when she walks? And look at her swollen face! She's bloated, just like Doraemon!" Jules presents her with some pictures.

"As you may be aware, we have a plus-size model division. However, let me make something clear. Saera does not fall into the plus-size category. She has a healthy body proportion among my models and a healthy BMI. So, for you to call her a pig in front of her friends, don't you think that's taking it too far?" she stares at Jules, eyes red, holding the anger.

"Look, I understand we're working together on a project, but don't touch what doesn't belong to you, Jules Adram! My models are not your models, and my company is not yours!" Gia has reached her limit of being kind to such a rude individual like Jules.

He stands up, his eyes filled with craziness, and approaches Gia.

"Like this, you mean?" His hand brushes her shoulder, moving downward. Gia forcefully smacks his hand away.

"Don't be disrespectful while I still have some respect for you!" she warns him.

"Don't tell me you're not enjoying my touch..." Jules tightly grabs her wrist. Gia pulls away and delivers a hard slap across his face.

"Bastard!" she scoffs and exits the room, her face burning with crimson. She storms out of the building, only to collide with someone in her path.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

It's Way.

"I've had enough of working here! I quit!" she vents her frustration. Way shakes his head slightly.

"Are you absolutely sure about this?"

"Yeah! I can't deal with foolish people every single day!"

Way observes her expression for a moment, sighs, and then helps her up.

"Come on... I think you need some time off..."
