Everyone was shocked but Shadow was disbelief.

"That's impossible. Tikal never mentioned having a brother."

"Yeah and what happened to your gem?"

"SHE DID THIS TO ME!!!!" Tyler shouted in anger.

"I still don't understand. If you're a Shapeshifter yourself, why are you working with the Outsiders?"

"Unlike the others, I can't Shapeshift and it's all her fault! I wanted to take everything she cared about and throw it in the ashes!"

"How did you even crack your gem? Why would Tikal never mention you?"

Tyler growled as he looked at you.

"You know what? Why don't I just tell you so you can stop with the questions!"

You stayed silent as he continued,

In the past, Tyler's POV:

"When I was finally old enough to learn about my spirit animal, I was so excited. It was the best moment of my life. Our parents were busy that day so they asked Tikal to help me out.

"Alright Tyler! Are you ready to become a Phoenix!?"

"Yeah! I'm so excited!"

"You're going to love it!"

"Before we could begin, Tikal spotted something in the woods."

"Huh? What's that?" Tikal started heading towards the light as Tyler followed her.

"Where are you going?"

"I gotta see this."

Tyler's POV:

"We followed the light as it led us towards a a cave. Inside, there was a heart shaped rock with a floating necklace."

"Whoa!" Tikal ran towards it and began to take a closer look.

"Tikal? We shouldn't be here. This part of the forest is filled with predators."

"We'll be fine Tyler. We're the only ones here!"

Tikal tried to reach for it but she couldn't. She tried a couple more times

When she finally got it, the cave started shake.

"Tikal! We have to get out of here!"

Tikal and Tyler tried to leave the cave but rocks started falling, nearly crushing them. One rock landed between them, making Tikal drop the necklace which landed outside.

"Tikal! Help!"

Tikal turned her head and saw Tyler trapped under a rock.

She ran towards him and tried to help him but the rock was to heavy. The rocks continued to fall as they tried to shield themselves from getting hit.

Tikal looked back and forth between Tyler and the exit. Tikal finally said,

"I'll go get help!"

"No! Don't leave!"

Tikal ran outside and grabbed the necklace but as she did, the cave collapsed as she gasped.

Tikal quickly went to get her parents as they finally arrived towards the location. Her Dad uses his gem Powers for strength as he pushes the boulder away from the entrance.

Tikal's mother stayed with Tikal as her father went inside, calling out for Tyler.

It was quiet for awhile and we thought something went wrong but then, the father came out with Tyler in his arms, out cold.

His head was facing his chest as the father looked at his wife and daughter with an upset look.

"Is he..."

"He's alive. But..."

He turned Tyler's body as he revealed his gem.

"I'm afraid his gem is damaged."

The mother broke down in tears as well as Tikal.

"What have I done?..."

After waking up in the hospital, he was alive and well but disappointed that he won't be able to use his gem ever again.

Tikal stayed close to him from now on and always did what she could to protect him.

Tyler's POV:

"After years since the incident, my life has changed, I could no longer use my powers, which makes Tikal the new Queen."

"Everyone respected her, loved her, told her she was special, while I was left in the dust, broken for all eternity!"

"I had enough of it! I wrote her a note that I plan to take everything away from her, like she did to me. So I was able to convince the Outsiders to work with me, in return, to earn new, special abilities."

"But then, she cast me away and my army, placing a protection shield around our home. Since my gem didn't work, I couldn't get in. But then I saw one of the Shapeshifters, leaving the shield protection and it gave me an idea."

"I planned to set your place on fire and surprisingly it worked. You and that zebra Shapeshifter led me towards the village and I was able to pass through."

"After years of trying, I finally awoken an old friend of mine from the past, using the gem I took from one of the Shapeshifters head and she agreed to help by disguising herself as Maria. To distract you from my plans."

"But apparently, you just had to come around and ruin everything. Just like Tikal did!"

In the Present:

"Tikal isn't as innocent as you all think."

"She did all of this for some stupid necklace! And now, I want to finish what I started. Taking everything and everyone she cares about!"
