Chapter 74

I haven't written in this notebook in a while, it feels like. Well, I'm back, and here to tell you everything.
Every single day felt so prefect, warm and cold, sexy and hot, memories flashing over me as I spent time with my friends and Andrew.

Everything is so beautiful, autumn rising into winter, but not quite yet. The after glow of every moment I pass with Andrew, the sun shines brighter, orange illuminating all around us, cuddling with Andrew, laughing with friends, nothing really impressive happens just the beauty of being happy.

My friends talk about my birthday, growing excited for me, clouding me with everything they have to say.

I felt like I was in my own little bubble, smiling up with joy as everything around me surrounded me with it's good vibes, the world had my back with its sunny warm days.

I was in my little world, everything perfect, I was floating on this Earth full of smiles on my face.

Andrew's warm kisses played as a routine and planted on my skin permanently, even when he wasn't there I could feel his presence.

Walking down hallway after hallway, light shining through the windows and into me as the light followed me around.

To each class, that I did finally pay attention to, not that classes were much of a big deal at the moment, everything fazed in and out, going fast yet going slow as I could feel every ray of sunlight hitting my skin to every dark moon night.

The days pass by, the smiles still continuing, I felt magical.

And I'm not even cringing as I'm writing this, I shouldn't feel embarrassed or weirded out for expressing my joy, right!?

At lunch time, sitting all together with my friends, their weird jokes exploding in the room, we were on our own little island as we shared stories and talked about things that didn't matter.

The sun shined through the walls and into the school, following wherever I went until it was dark.

School went by quickly though, and just as it was the beginning of November, it was already close to the end.

"Alright, everyone, here we go!" I heard Sally say, her voice excited as we sat at the round tables of the school's park.

I looked down at my hands that sat underneath my legs, trying to keep myself warm on this cold day, everything around us dark, only the few lights of the lamps illuminated our spot on the holed bench.

I looked up at Sally with a happy smile on my face, curving tightly around my face as I shivered in excitement.

My body curving tightly around me as I kept myself as small as possible to keep myself warm, my head almost close by the table at how scrunched up I was. This coat did not do wonders on me on this cold dark evening.

Watching Sally and Alex across from me with equally cold figures, they smiled excitedly all the while.

Alex's green eyes crinkled at the corners as she took in my happy expression as Sally's aqua eyes did the same, both their bodies tight, keeping themselves warm too.

I giggled and then looked back at the table in between us all. The small gifts laid out, the bags puffing out with colorful paper coming out of them and Alex's and Sally's smiles played in the background, the transparent paper let me see them even though my gaze was focused on the gifts.

I giggled once more in excitement, maybe partly to let out the cold and maybe partly to release the small anxiety I felt, scared to see what's inside.

I looked over at Tom, whom sat right beside me, sitting up straight instead of crunched down like the rest of us, he didn't look half as cold as us, he was prepared, but even with his knitted hat on and gloves, he still managed to shiver all the while. He smiled anyway down at me, excited for me too, and reassuring me with his warm glance.

I smiled back watching as he rubbed his gloves together, creating friction as he breathed out, fog following.

His action made me smile even more, making me feel warm for only a moment creating the anticipation of what was inside the gifts.

"Come on, open up the presents," Tom encouraged.

"Ya, come on," I heard Alex agree, calling ahead of me. I looked towards her, her brown curls fluffing over her shoulders, no hat for her, she wore a red jacket, stylish as always with her perfect skin shining with the lamplight illuminating in the street.

I giggled in reply.

"Okay, okay!" I agreed, excited as I shivered, reaching for the gifts on the table.

Two bags, one bag from Alex and the other from Sally.

I smiled back up at them, tightening around me and traveling down my body at how excited I was and nervous to see what was inside.

I grabbed the one on my left, the brown paper bag ruffling slightly after my touch. I slowly reached inside, the decorative paper tickling my fingers, adding on to the shiver that traveled down my body and the warmth that it gave me for being covered by the bag.

Still digging into the bag, creating the anticipation still, I laughed as I saw all of their eager eyes looking up at me, they seemed to be as nervous as I was.

Breaking my act, I placed the bag neatly in front of me, taking a deep breath in and reaching inside properly without bending over like before.

"Okay!" I breathed out, giving them one more look, looking from Tom, Sally and Alex, all their faces illuminated by the street lamps, the only source of light that brought our eyes at ease.

Still nervous, seeing Tom's encouraging nod and Alex's excited smile, I digged in with a deep breath.

The bag ruffling under my contact, the paper growing louder as it sat in the way from what was inside, it seemed like their was a lot of pink paper before I pulled it out completely, leaving it on the side and placing it on the table.

Searching through the bag, my eyes widen in curiosity, I finally pulled out what was inside.

"Oh my god! It's Sally's present!!!" Alex piped, letting me know who it was from, even though they bought the presents together, she seemed surprised.

I didn't get the chance to look up at Alex with a grin in reply to her comment, instead I stayed in awe at the gift wrapped around my hand.

A star full scarf laid in my hand, curving around my fingers, the dark blue fabric soft and transparent, mirroring the dark night that was tonight.

I awed back at it with a smile, looking back at Sally as I began to give her my thanks.

"Wow, Sally, thank you, it's beautiful!"

"Ya! It really is," Tom agreed beside me, catching my attention as I turned back to him, his fingers grazing the scarf softly too.

"It's soft too," I informed with a smile as I looked up at him.

He gave me a warm smile too.

"It'll look great on you,"

I blushed in return with a smile covering my face, I looked down before looking back at Sally and Alex.

Both of them showed their happy smiles too.

"Alright! Now open my present, come on, come on," Alex cheered, stopping the eye contact and happy smiles as she patted the table excitedly.

I laughed in return.

"Okay okay," I agreed with my smile warming up my face, not able to relax it as I was too happy.

Putting the scarf back in it's brown bag, I reached over for the other one, sensing Alex's excited smile and bouncing aura.

Reaching the bag, sliding it in front of me, I slowly unwrapped the paper, that seemed to have less than the other gift, before Alex yelled.

"Come on, come on, hurry up!" She piped, her voice alarming me for a moment before I burst out in laughter, Tom following suit beside me and then Alex, observing our expression before breaking into a smile and laugh.

"Okay, okay," I agreed, pulling the gift out of it's bag without anymore hesitation and without anymore suspense for either me or Alex.

"There see! Two scarfs! Mitch matching, one symbolizing my personality and the other is Sally's, so, wherever you go, you have us!" She announced excitedly, it seemed like she'd been waiting to spill the secret behind it all and I smiled at her.

I looked down at the scarf placed in my hands, keeping me warm, observing the shades of red colliding together in this flowy scarf.

Wrapping around my fingers, liking the way it felt, especially in this cold night, I looked at the red and the darker reds mixing to make this transparent scarf and I could definitely see this as Alex's personality.

Alex always had style, and this definitely showed it off.

Smiling even brighter, I held the scarf closer to me, rubbing it against my check as I closed my eyes to get indulged in it's warmth.

"You like it?! Huh?! Yes! I told you Sally! Woohoo!" Alex exclaimed, bumping sides with Sally as she bounced on the bench, making the table move beneath her.

I looked up at Tom, sensing his gaze on me, and as I turned my head, the scarf still rubbing against my face, I spotted his warm gaze looking at me, his smile brightening as I spotted him.

A moment went by, and I smiled back, warmth from the scarf, it's soft skin rubbing against mine, and then looking at Tom made me feel warm too. The lamp light illuminated his features, his pale skin, blue eyes, and black hair that popped out of the sides of his knitted hat, everything going away for a moment as it was only us.

A shy smile creeped up my lips before it became sly, smirking shyly at him as I leaned in.

"What about you?" I asked, nervous to see what his reaction would be as I licked my upper lip, waiting for what he'd say as we teased each other with our enchanting gazes, smirking at one another.

"Ya! What did you get her?" Alex called, agreeing with my question, our eye contact breaking as we looked over at her excited expression.

I smiled at her, her bouncing still, maybe to keep herself warm, but I think she was warm after all the fun of gifts, her brown curls easing up and down beside her, as if they were used to her crazy actions, they didn't frizz up or look crazy, instead they looked beautiful.

Continuing to smile, I brought my attention back to Tom, catching his eyes looking back at mine and away from Alex who sat ahead. A moment passed by as I gave him a questioning smile, my smile asking him if he had given me a gift as he gave me his genuine one. His eyes turned up beside him as he rolled his eyes, giving himself away, answering my question. Knowing that he'd brought me a present too, with just the way he shyly tried to hide it, his confident smirk showed.

~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh my god! Where are we going?!" I heard Alex pipe excitedly as we walked, a blind fold covering my vision, stopping me from answering her question.
I guessed we were walking down a side walk, but I didn't know, all I had as a way of direction was Tom's firm hand at my back leading me to wherever we were going.
I could feel the excitement bubbling through me as I smiled, the fabric wrapping around me, cupping my skin, creating darkness all around, not that it wasn't mirroring what I would've already had seen without this thing on.
I heard Alex's excited questions rolling down the streets, I didn't know if this was her way to bring more excitement, to create the tension and anticipation, or if she really didn't know what was happening.
Tom still leading the way, his hand at my back, firm and gentle, I could feel his every movement as it felt like we walked down a hill. We probably didn't walk down a hill though, because there are no hills around here, so it was probably just my imagination and just a steep way down the street.
Continuing to smile, my checks reaching higher, brushing against the fabric covering my vision, the plan for me to steal a little peek with my extended smile didn't work, Tom had tightened this thing shut.
I guess he was really serious about this being a surprise, so I respected that as we all bounced down this steep.
"Wait, so, what's going on?" I heard Sally asks, imagining her confused look as the darkness contrasted with her bright hair.
Maybe if Sally doesn't know what's going on, then maybe Alex's questions weren't just for show and Tom really hasn't told them and this truly is a surprise.
My question answered, just like that, I heard Sally's gasp behind me, intriguing me further as to what this surprise could truly be, the suspense making my stomach turn in butterflies, smiling even more as I waited for what would happen.
And just like that, we stopped.
The march of my friends halting behind me as Tom held me close, keeping me firm in my place, his hands gripping my shoulders to stop and not move.
I don't think I was breathing as my heart beaten faster, growing excited and scared for what could possibly be behind this blind fold.
I waited for what Tom would do next, everything going slow moe as I felt his hands brush my hair, his breath near by as his head felt close to mine.
Tightening me eyes, my belly filled with butterflies, tiny creatures gurgling along with the anticipation in my stomach, still waiting, his hands reached for my hair, brushing it aside.
Feeling the blind fold loosen underneath his touch, untieing the knot planted in my hair, I kept my eyes closed until the blind fold fell off my eyes, drooping down and I opened my eyes.
My breath inside my chest, my eyes widened as I took what was in front of me in, I gasped.
A beautiful dark red jeep sat in front of my house, in the driveway.
My eyes still wide, everything settled in, my breathing finally came back and I yelled out loud.
Beginning to jump up, still not believing what was happening, I turned around to Tom, embracing him in a fast hug, still jumping up and down as I exclaimed in excitement.
I felt like crying.
"It's a car!" Alex finally screamed out.
I smiled as I looked towards her, behind the two of us and next Sally.
Sally's eyes were wide in disbelief, looking at me with shock, my smile tightened in excitement as I looked over at them.
The butterflies still swirling in my abdominal, feeling flushed in overwhelm, I let go of Tom as I jumped up and down with Alex, our yelps echoing through the empty neighborhood, the dark night surrounding us, the cold no longer present as we all felt warm with each other's presence.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I exclaimed, still jumping up and down as I looked over at Tom, him smiling sheepishly, observing all of our happy expressions, particularly at mine.
My smile crinkling up my eyes, I couldn't believe it, thanking Tom without words but with our never ending eye contact, the smile placed on our lips, we had yet another moment where it was only us.
Thanking him for everything before looking back at Alex and Sally, Sally finally joining in with the screams and jumps, her disbelief gone, we all began to huddle up in our up and down hug, Tom joining in too.
