Christmas Eve, 2015.

Mark had butterflies in his stomach, he'd been on edge all day; Trying to hide it from Jack. He kept feeling his pockets almost every minute to make sure the small blue velvet box was still there and it was. You see, today was the day he would propose to Jack. He had spotted the ring with the green emerald in it when passing for Christmas shopping and couldn't stop thinking about it. In fact, when he went to buy it he probably stood outside the Jeweler for about 20 minutes, questions running through his head.

"Are we ready?" Yes, dummy. We've been together for 4 years.

"What if he says no?" Its Jack, he loves you.

"He might not like the ring..." Again, Its Jack. Its the color of his hair; He'll love it!

"How will you even propose and when?" Mark decided to bite the metaphorical bullet and head in. Swiftly buying the ring a special glint in his eye and excitement on his face. The Jeweler sparkled so much that it was almost blinding. The blonde cashier smiled at him as she slid the box across the counter, opening it and showing the red headed man the ring inside. He immediately knew this was the ring. "I'll take it." He nodded, smiling.

He wanted to go home, burst into the house and yell;

"Jack! Will you marry me!?" But didn't wanting to wait until the right moment and he got it.

It was Christmas eve, and Jack had just come downstairs from recording. Mark was standing by the fridge, as Jack opened it to get a drink. "Do you wanna go for a walk or something? You've been recording all day and thought you could stretch your legs?" Mark smiled, trying to play all cool when really; he was totally NOT cool. He hoped Jack would buy it. Thinking for a moment, the Irishman then nodded.

They walked together through the small wood land that was a little walk away from their apartment, after seeing the woodland and how it looked in the winter, the pair knew they had to buy the house closest to it and did. It looked even more prettier with the snow sprinkling on the trees and the sun setting just below them, peaking through. Jack stopped to admire it and Mark knew this was his chance. Taking a deep breath he tapped Jack on the shoulder, grabbing his attention as he got down on one knee.

"Sean, Will you Marry me?" Mark would never forget the way Jacks eyes twinkled and the smile that crept upon his features and the way he said Yes and jumped into Marks arms.

Christmas Eve 2016.

They were finishing decorating the tree, whilst Mark was in the kitchen baking all kinds of sweet treats. Jack lifted their daughter up to put the angel on top of the tree. After putting her down she raced into the kitchen, Jack following behind her. The treats were all laid out and ready to eat, as well as some for Santa too. "Happy Christmas eve, Sam." Their daughters name was Samantha-eve; Mark and Jack giving her the middle name and nickname due to how Special Christmas eve was for the two of them. Jack never thought Mark could top that Christmas eve when he proposed by the woods, but seeing Sam eat cookies and get excited for Santa coming and how happy Mark was; It was the best present he could ask for.
