(76) Pacify Her [2]

Jefflovesben4life requested that I do a part two of Pacify Her and so I did! I hope everything comes together and wraps up nicely. Christmas requests are welcome! (I have a few ideas already but I LOVE hearing your suggestions:))

Jack was wide awake, his girlfriend sleeping soundly next to him. Moonlight shined through the small cap in the blue curtains; it illuminated the room. Marks words seemed to circle in Jacks brain like a carousel of words spinning round and round.

"I thought you were gay!"

Jack thought back to when he didn't have a girlfriend, to those lonely nights in which Mark would show, a take away bag in his hand and a smile on his face. They'd eat together, then Jack would lay his head on Marks lap as they watched some horror movie. Jack turning away at scary moments or putting his hands over his eyes. Once he removed his hands after the scene was over he'd see Marks beautiful brown eyes which somehow comforted him. And as the Irish man would drift off to sleep, he'd feel gentle touches of Marks hand brushing through his hair. He remembered one time Mark tugged his hair slightly causing Jack to open his eyes and look up at him, with a smirk on his features. He looked so happy then.

Another time he remembered walking in the middle of the night standing under the stars and Marks hand finding its way to Jacks, then on the way home Mark giving Jack a piggyback and The Irishman laughing his head off as Mark nearly tripped. The Irish man scowled him then, in case he dropped him.

He didn't have memories like that with the girl next to him.

He had arguments and storms. Mark was a rainbow.

Jack got out of bed as quiet as he could, creeping out the door. He walked or rather ran, to Marks house; they hadn't spoken in weeks but he didn't care. Knocking on the door, he prayed Mark answered. Perhaps the world was on his side because a sleepy, messy haired Mark answered the door. Maybe it was something about how Marks eyes sparkled more at four in the morning or the charming way his red locks stuck up in all directions but Jack just stared and knew that he was in love with this rainbow.

"Jack, its four in the morning." God, his sleepy voice made Jack weak at the knees. He hated it.

"I just, I um came to- Say that-" Jack kept getting lost for what he was trying to say. What was he trying to say? Mark stood there, eyebrows raised in all his sleepy and smug glory.

"My girlfriend is a storm and you're a rainbow, like with gold and everything." Jack uttered, his cheeks rosy.

"Is Jack admitting he was in Narnia the whole time and hes super gay for Mark?" The man that stood in a night gown leaded against his door, could he get anymore smug?

"Maybe." Jack mumbled, looking up at Mark with a doofy smile on his face.

Mark got super close to Jack, a mischievous smile on his face. "Dump her and then we'll 'talk'." Mark winked and then jumped back and closed his door.

Right. Girlfriend..

Jack got back to his apartment and his girlfriend was on the sofa, looking worried. "Where have you been?" Jack had explaining to do.

"I went for a walk and it made me realize something..." Oh god, was he really about to say this allowed? Admit something he thought he never would?

"Im gay." The words came rushing out of his mouth, like a dam just exploded. Jack gave a sigh of relief but did not meet his girlfriends eyes.

She burst into manic laughter.

"I'm serious, I also realize that I'm madly in love with my best friend and this was all a cover, a mask. I'm so sorry. Its was super selfish of me I should have sorted my own feelings before playing with yours."

The laughter stopped sharply and another thing that was sharp was a slap to Jacks face.

"You disgust me." She uttered before leaving, the door slamming the process. Well, it was only six in the morning and Jack had already received a slap.

Yet, Breaking up with his girlfriend was the best thing he could have done because waking up next to Mark was much more rewarding, sometimes he'd leave breakfast or coffee for the Irish man. Or Jack would awake to the wonderful sounds of Mark singing in the shower and on occasion would join him there. The only downside being Jacks ex girlfriend may or may not have spray painted "Homewrecker" on Marks car. Well, at least Mark got to laugh at Jack attempting to clean it off. He could only get the m and e off, so now his car just said "Ho wrecker." Jack decided to leave it as it was, it making him giggle.
