(14) An Absolute Cliche
3rd Person POV~
It was ridiculous to have a crush on the popular kid at school, He'd never notice a guy like Jack and was probably not even gay but that didn't stop Jack from swooning at Mark Fischbach, head of the school at every chance he got. He was muscular, manly and those eyes. Every time Jack heard Marks name mention he'd smile and he'd often sneak to watch Mark play football, not so discretely checking him out. Unfortunately, one day Mark spotted Jack and walked over to him, in all his sweaty glory. Jack almost passed out and tried to turn away but Mark wouldn't allow it. "Jack! Hey, I never knew you liked sports." Oh god, He knew his name?? For the love of everything holy DON'T mess this up Jack. He rubbed his neck and gave a nervous laugh "Uhm, yeah." "Or are you just here too check out the players?" Mark winked at him and Jacks legs almost gave in, he was probably smiling and blushing like an absolute dope. "Aww, you caught me." He giggled. "So which player is it?" Mark smirked, watching as Jack squirmed and tried to think of an answer. "Y-You should get back to your game..." "I knew its me, I see you staring all the time. The thing you don't see, is me staring at you. Come meet me sometime here, yeah?" Jack was about explode. "Uhm Wow, Yeah sure."
~
Jack did exactly that, he arrived at the pitch a little later than usual, everyone had gone home. He had considered not coming encase it was a prank and all the jocks laughed at him. There was a small blanket laid out on the pitch with a few candles and a bunch of takeout food. Jack shyly stood there waiting for Mark. Mark arrived out of seemingly nowhere, out of his uniform and less sweaty. He looked adorable. "Hey" he smiled. "Hi, Whats with all the takeout food?" Mark chuckled nervously and rubbed his neck. "I uh, didn't know which food you liked so.." Jack laughed. "Well, looks like we have a feast on our hands." They spent the night eating and chatting away. It was an absolute cliche, but Jack loved every moment, and from then on Jack watched Mark play all the time, cheering him on. Then they'd sit on the pitch and eat take out food whilst looking up at the stars. It was Jacks Cliche.
