Eddy stared at the two and thought to himself.

"This is gonna be fun" ---------------------------------------

Suddenly Eddy stopped and look at the building ahead. Diana did the same, noticing how it appeared to be a court house.

Diana began to realize how different the werewolves territory was from the mermaids.

Her skin grew hot, she felt like she was on fire.

"What's up with you?" Dante said confused

Diana ignored him and stared at the sky finding the source of her heat.

"Is that the sun?" Diana said amazed

Dante looked at Diana like she just said the stupidest thing he had ever heard.

"No really... I had no idea" He said as he rolled his eyes.

Eddy sighed and began speaking "Lets head in, they are waiting"

Dante nodded and separated from them walking around the side of the huge building.

Eddy walked. Through the doors of the building gesturing for Diana to follow him.

They both continued walking and then Eddy turned toward her.

"When we get in there do not speak. No matter what anyone says to you, I will speak for you."

"I understand" Diana sighed and said back.

The continued walking and entered a bright room lined with people in chairs.

All surrounding one metal stick shooting from the ground with chains around it.

Eddy leaded Diana to the stick where he took hold of the chains.

Wrapping one around her neck and two around her arms one of each on her wrists and upper arms.

Diana kneeled on the floor and examined her surroundings.

Infront of her was one man in all white. He was sat higher than the two werewolves next to him who held spears.

To her right she saw eight hooded figures, one in a wheelchair.

Their eyes met and immediately the boy turned away.

The judge spoke.

"State your name"

Diana looked up at Eddy who then nodded.

"Diana Niches"

The judge stared at her and then continued.

"Mermaid... You have trespassed into lands in which you are not welcomed. You killed our brethren, and you have shown yourself to be a mana user."

Eddy stayed silent staring at the judge.

"As an answer to your crimes you shall be executed by fire"

The werewolves cheered

"Your holiness, she has also proved her worth to us." Eddy said

"In what way" the judge said menacingly

" She hold water mana, she retrieved those that she killed from the afterlife so they may stay with their loved ones.

And she excels in fighting with double weapons." Eddy said back to the judge proudly

"Is this true, the judge looked over to the hooded men.

"Yes your holiness" one of the men said back

"Then chief, what do you suppose we should do?"

"How about the old traditional initiation technique" Eddy said

The room was silent, Eddy continued

"As you know I have also created a formula for retracting mana, in which we have used on the holy knights" Eddy looked over at the men in hoods

"If we assign a holy knight to her to induce the medicine every 6 hours while she is unneeded, we can keep the upper hand and use her to our advantage"

The judge sighed

"I see.. Diana, you have two options, die or live as our guard dog from your own kind."

Diana looked to Eddy who just stared at her.

"Well you know my decision.. I choose to live" She stated.

"Then chief, begin the initiation."

Eddy walked behind the pole, behind Diana.

He began to summon green fire from his hands, cupping his hands together

he shot the fire out in an explosion like manor toward Diana.

Diana screamed, she felt as though her skin was peeling off of her body.

Suddenly the flames went out, but for some reason she still felt lile her skin was peeling she looked at her arms and saw white pus drooling out of her open burn wounds.

Her skin on her thighs burned into large open wounds going deeper and burning her bone.

She continued screaming and thrashing around, her tears turned into blood as it pooled from her burning eyes onto the floor infront of her.

The judge stood and walked toward her, holding his hands in a prayer like form.

"Be released and reborn into ons of our family. Stop your struggling and accept your fate."

Diana realized that it would not stop till she stayed still, and gritting her teeth she stayed as still as possible.

The judge look toward Eddy and began speaking.

"It truly has been to long since I've seen your poison burst, it still scares me to this day"

"It should, I have strengthened the affect of the poison since the last time you saw it" Eddy said back grinning.

Eddy shouted "End" and all at once the pain stopped.

Diana panting, she looked at Eddy one more time before passing out.

Eddy called over one of the men in hoods to heal Diana.

He crouched by her and began healing her. "She is fine but will sleep for quite a while" the man in the hood said.

Eddy unchained Diana and lifted her from the ground

"I shall take my leave"

"Wait.. We never discussed who will be taking charge of her medicine dosages" The judge said

Eddy looked toward the men in hoods

"Who is WILLING to take this role" he said

The hooded men were silent till the man next to the boy in the wheel chair forced him raised his hand.

"Dante... This is not a good job for you, I'm not trying to put you down bit we need a better fit person" the judge said.

"No, he is perfect for this job. I believe he will do a good job" Eddy said

"I am sorry, I did not mean to raise my hand, I would rather not take this job" Dante says back

"It is no longer up for discussion, unless you want thrown out of my house"

The judge and Dante sighed before nodding.

Eddy turned and began walking out of the court room carrying Diana.

Dante turned his wheelchair and followed behind them out of the building.

They stayed silent until they got to Edwards house and laid Diana down in a bed.

"What the fuck was that?" Dante said aggressively

Eddy stayed silent staring at Diana.

"Oh so now you can't speak, you know I am in no shape to take care of someone, how the fuck do you expect me to keep up with her in battle!?"

Eddy spoke "that is something you and her will have to discover for yourselves, I have a feeling that this will work"

"Where was that feeling when you were kicked out of the guild, huh, you cant rely on these crazy ideas!" Dante yelled at Edward.

"SILENCE!" Eddy screamed.

Dante turned away from him and walked out of the room.

Eddy sighed and looked at Diana

"This better work"

--------6 months later------------

Diana woke up and immediately realized her wounds were healed and she no longer had the burning on her skin.

She got out of the bed and look around the house unable to find Eddy or Dante.

She found a note on a table and began to read it.

"Meet us at the training yard, just go straight behind the house make a left and continue straight until you see a big field filled with soldiers"

She sat the note down and began walking out of te house the sun beaming down on her.

As she walked toward the field she realized everyone had opened their windows and were staring knives at her.

She continued walking and soon came upon the large field Soldiers were in the middle of training, and stopped just to stare at her.

One of the first things Diana noticed was that their was no women located on the field training.

The only ones their were serving food and drinks to the resting soldiers.

Diana found Eddy and ran to him

"Eddy, I am at your service"

"It is chief to you from now on. Get dressed we had clothes customized to fit your body. Once you are dressed we will begin training."

Diana nodded and headed into the fort behind Eddy holding the clothes in her hand.

She undressed and immediately realized she had no idea how to dress herself. Especially not werewolf fighting clothes.

They were heavier and less revealing than what mermaid soldiers wear.

To Diana's surprise they were soft while mermaid clothes were more silky.

Diana was separating the clothes trying to find out hiw to put them on when Dante rolled into the room from the opposite entrance.

He stared for a bit before covering his eyes, his face turning red.

Diana stared back at him confused. She approached him.

"He-Hey, Do-Don't come any closer" Dante said to her.

"Why? I need help putting these clothes on" Diana said back confused at Dante's reaction.

Dante looked up at Diana and gestured for her to give him the clothes.

He quickly explained how to put them on and then rushed out of the fort.

"What was his deal?" Diana said under her breath.

A few moments later Diana walked out of the tent.

Her long black hair was put into a tight ponytail,

she wore a tight all back bra covered by a jacket that barely went below her breast which was rolled up so she could summon her scythes.

She also wore a tight skirt that was connected to a dagger holder that was placed around her left thigh.

She had the boots she was given in her hand.

"I cannot fight with shoes on, I am sorry chief" Diana said to Eddy

Eddy took the shoes from Diana and gestured for her to take her spot along the line of soldiers, next to Dante.

"Today we will be testing your individual strength"

The men grinned, staring at Diana.

"You will each take turns fighting with each of your fellow soldiers, at the end the winner will face off against me"

The men began pairing with each other, the biggest one pairing with Diana.

The men stared at Diana, she knew what they wanted to happen. But she would never let them win.

She summoned her scythes. Dante standing a far enough back so he would not get hurt.

The big guy made the first move, he ran toward Diana sword in hand,

he swung at her but was cut off when Diana hooked the chain connected to one of the scythes around his sword

stealing it from the mans hands and throwing it across the field.

She then hooked both of the scythes around the mans neck and pulled him down toward her.

"I win" Diana said smiling at the man.

In the end none of the soldiers were able to take Diana down.

"So Diana defeated all of you" Eddy said.

The men stared at the Chief in shame.

Diana stepped forward and readied herself to fight with Edward.

Unlike all of the other soldiers she remembered that Eddy was a mana user who was more long range.

She was going to have to use a more forward approach if she wanted to get a hit in.

She took the first move running toward Eddy swinging both scythes toward the ground hooking them in, and using that to pull herself even faster toward Eddy.

She readied herself to kick him, when he suddenly grabbed her ankle lifting her up.

He then slammed her down into the ground. She quickly stood up, and unhooked her scythes retrieving them.

She ran toward Eddy again but this time he shot his poison flames at her.

She decided to summon more mana as well and so she lifted the water out of the resting soldiers drinks and used it as a shield from the flames.

She reformed the water into sharp droplets that flew at Eddy, stabbing into him.

She then summoned even more Mana.

"Its time to show off" she said under her breath.

This time as well as having her scythes out and the droplets attacking Eddy.

She summoned quick sand like mud around Eddy's feet using the water in the soil.

Her eyes began glowing a light green, her body began twitching as a sickly wide grin grew on her face.

She suddenly lost control of her Mana. Eddy now being free, looked to Dante for him to inject Diana with the medicine.

He quickly made his way to Diana, but couldn't reach her from his chair, everytime Dante would reach she would move. Diana started shaking uncontrollably, her eyes rolling to the back of her skull.

Eddy ran past Dante grabbing the syringe from his hands and injected it into Diana himself.

As Diana calmed down she laid down on her back.

Eddy sighed "Dante this cannot happen, you have to be ready and know the signs of Diana losing control.

Diana, you have to know when to go to Dante before you lose control.

You guys are a team now, your youth is no excuse to make fatal mistakes." Eddy stared at them

"Understand?"

"Yes chief"

Eddy helped Diana up.

"This is all the training we will do for today" Edward said.

The men dispersed and Eddy told Diana to hold onto Dantes wheelchair, and go ahead home without him.
