Jerome's P.O.V

"The treehouse is finally done! Now, do you want to go get some food?" I ask Mitch. He nods. The treehouse is only here temporarily, or atleast until we get home. We head out of the tree and I go one way with my sword and Mitch goes the other way with his bow. I slay a chicken and pick up the meat. Yum. I keep walking, until I end up in a forest. I then hear a sudden growl behind me. I turn around and see a wolf.

"N-nice puppy!" I say and back up slowly from it. It growls and walks closer to me. I put my sword out in front of me, then jump at the wolf. I land on its back, but it flips me off and gets on top of me.

"Hey you stupid wolf! Get off of him!" Someone says. The wolf snaps his head behind him. Mitch is pointing his bow at it.

"I said get off!" He says and pulls the bow back more. The wolf just growls and focuses his attention on me. It starts snapping at my neck. I push him away, but he somehow managed to get a grip on my neck and rips the flesh right off. I start bleeding heavily and am barely able to breathe. The wolf whimpers and drops dead on the ground. I get up on my hands and knees, but unable to balance myself. Mitch helps me up.

"Come on biggums, you can make it!" He says and ties his jacket tightly around my neck. I collapse to my knees, unable to walk.

"Jerome. Please. You need to stay with me! Please!" Mitch begs. I try and speak, but nothing comes out. Black spots are appearing in my vision now.

"No, no, no, no! Stay awake!" Mitch says and hugs me tight. I then pass out completely, never to wake up again.
