The next day Jessica herd a knock on her door.

"Ann! What are you doing here?" Jessica says.

Ann had her baby in his carrier, a diaper bag, and a drugstore bag.

"Let me in. It's cold!"

"Ann, you didn't have to come out here."

"I did. My little sister is scared.

Okay, I went to the store. I bough 6 different kinds of test. Jessica are you sure you had your period?"

"I mean I don't know. It was very light spotting."

"Have you had any morning sickness? Nausea? Fatigue?"

"I've been tired, and I have gained about 4 pounds. Nothing fits."

"Why didn't you says something sooner? Are you getting regular periods?"

"No! Ann I am scared! What if I am pregnant? What do I do?"

"You tell Danny!"

"That's the thing! I don't know if it's Danny's!"

Jessica covers her face and begins to cry. Ann holds her tight.

"It's gonna be okay. Just go take these test."

"I've just been in denial. What if I am pregnant and the bleeding is bad?"

"Then we go to a doctors just take it!"

Ann waits in the living room with the baby. Jessica takes all of the test and flips them over until she is all done.

"Ann. I am done."

"Okay. Let's go see what the first few looked like." Ann rubs her arms

"Two lines. What does that mean?"

"Jessie. That wasn't your period. Jessica you're pregnant! You're having a baby!"

Jessica started to cry loudly.

"Jessica, you should be happy."

"How can I? I am 22 and pregnant! And I don't even know who's baby it is! What am I going I do? I want to go back to school this summer. Damn it Ann! Mom and Dad..."

"Shit. Mom and Dad."

Ann hugs Jessica and she bawls her eyes out.

Later that day Ann took her to an OBGYN.

When they got to the doctors office Jessica's eyes were swollen and she felt so sick. So many things kept going through her mind.

What if it's Sam's... he will never be home. I will do it alone. What if it's Danny's. Will he want the baby? He will be busy with work. Damn it Jessica. You are such a slut. You damn whore.

Jessica thought to herself as they took her blood pressure. They also took blood test and asked Jessica a series of questions.

"If I am pregnant. Is it bad if I have spotting?"

"No, it's very normal. That's why many mothers don't know they are pregnant until later on. They mistake light spotting for light periods. We will check things out if you are."

Jessica and Ann waited anxiously at the doctors office.

"Jessie, it's gonna be okay. If you are pregnant we can get paternity test. Just take deep breaths."

"How could I've been so stupid! I feel like such a slut."

"You aren't a slut Jessica."

"Ms.Lange... your results are ready, if you don't mind coming back."

Jessica and Ann stands up.

"The Doctor will be right in." The nurse says

"Thank you Ann... for coming out. You didn't know to."

"Yes I did. You're my baby sister."

"Okay Jessica. Your results are in. Are you ready?" The doctor says sitting down.

Jessica nods.

"Congrats, you're pregnant!"

"Jessica, the bleeding is totally okay. Everything is good. Do you want to see your baby?"

"Um.. sure." Jessica lays back and holds Ann's hand.

The doctors moves the monitor around until he can get a heart beat.

The doctor looks closer on the screen before showing Jessica.

"Is everything okay?" Ann says holding the baby.

"Well. I feel like I am hearing two heart beats."

"Two? What!"

"Jessica, you're having twins!"

"Twins? No! I can't be!"

"Yep. There are your babies." The Doctor spins the screen to Jessica. She sees two little peanuts. We couldn't help but cry.

"Those are my babies."

"Jessica, you're going to be a mom. Guess what Chase, you are going to have little cousins!"

"Jessica, you're measuring at 10 weeks. Congrats. You're lucky you aren't having any morning sickness. But don't worry, it will make its debut."

"When can I take a paternity test?"

"Oh, uh.... well whenever. We just need to have your blood and the daddy's blood. You can stop in any time for that."

Later that day Ann took Jessica home.

"Are you sure you want me to go? I can stay?"

"No... go home. That little guy needs to go home."

"Okay. It's gonna be okay Jess. I will call everyday."

"Don't tell anyone."

"I won't."

The next day Jane, Sam's mother came over to the apartment to get the last of Sam's things. Jessica was still in shock and was avoiding Danny.

"I think I have everything." Jane says holding the boxes.

"Thanks Jane."

"It's a shame things didn't work out. I am sorry Jess."

"It is. We are better off."

"Do you mind if I use the bathroom before I leave?"

"Sure!" Jessica says

Jane goes into the restroom. Once she is finished she glances over to the trash can. It was filled with pregnancy test. She bent down and looked at the results. She let out a gasp.

"Jessica! Jessica!"

"Is everything okay?"

"You're... You're pregnant!"

Jessica's heart dropped. Her face grew red and her hands became sweaty. Jessica looked at Jane and nodded.
