1 week until the twins first birthday//

Jessica took off work while it wasn't busy to get everything ready for the twins first birthday. She purchased decorations, ordered the cakes, and made sure everything was just perfect. As busy as she was, nothing could get her mind off that fact that they were growing up so fast. Even though it was all very exciting, it was just as emotional.

Danny and Jessica's sides of the family were coming in from Minnesota for the birthday party. It was going to be in a small pavilion in Central Park.

Jessica and Danny went out to get some streamers while the babysitter watched the twins. As they were walking down the party store aisle Jessica stopped suddenly.

It took a quick minute for Danny to notice that Jessica was behind him, crying.

He let's go of the buggy and rushes to her side. "Hey, why are you crying? Is everything okay?" He rubs her back and she falls into his arms.

"How is it possible that they grew up so quickly? I don't get it! I feel like just yesterday we were at the hospital holding them in our arms. Our little monkeys grew up." Jessica goes from softly crying to sobbing. Everyone around her began to notice as well.

"Aww, babe, before you know it they'll be walking around with us, having conversations, and we'll be able to do so many fun things with them. It's sad, I know, but it's a happy moment too."

Jessica takes a deep breath and wipes her tears. She nods her head and smiles. "You're right... I've just been so emotional lately. It's killing me!" Jessica tries to laugh it off as they continue walking.

"I've noticed that." Danny chuckles

"Let's find the pastel streamers and head back home. I feel so sick." Jessica rubs her stomach.

"Okay, love. You're just stressing yourself out too much."

2 days until the twins birthday//

As the week went on Jessica started to notice a change in her attitude and how she was feeling, physically. She felt drained, emotional, and a bit sick. Jessica just tried to shake it off and push through the week.

Danny and Jessica spilt for the day to pick of their family members taking separate cars. Jessica picked up her parents, Jane, her boyfriend, and George. Ann, Jack, and Chase  were coming the day before the party.

Jessica waited by the car for her family to come. George got to her first.

"George, look at how tall you've gotten!"

"Hey, Jessica. Pretty sure a year ago today you were wobbling around with a bowling ball attached to your front side, right?" George says

Thinking back to her pregnancy and how she planned on having the twins any day now a year ago made her want to cry.

Jessica playfully hit her brother then gave him a hug. "George, you always know how to say rude things!" Jessica giggles

"My gosh, can't you save the comments?" Jane says to him.

He shrugs his shoulders and helps Albert get the bags into the SUV after he greets Jessica.

"I missed you! I can't believe the little monkeys will be one!" Jane squeals, hugging her tight.

"I know, I know! Uh, don't remind me!" Jessica sighs

Dorthy wraps her arms around Jessica and smiles. "Don't be upset, be happy!"

"I'm trying!" She puts on a fake smile

"I'm just so excited to be here!" Jane smiles

Danny's POV//

Danny's parents and siblings landed at a different airport. He found them at baggage claim and helped them with their luggage.

Zoe cupped Danny's cheeks and gave him a hug.

"You better shave for the party, Mr!" Zoe points her finger

"Oh, hey mom! How was your flight?" Danny says sarcastically

"Hello, I'm sorry!" Zoe giggles

"How's it going?" John says greeting Danny

"It's going." He says with exhaustion

"Tired? Already? The party hasn't even started?" His sister says

"We've been running around like crazy." He laughs, taking their bags.

On the car ride over Danny, his parents and siblings were all catching up. They talked about the babies, the engagement, work, and family.

"So Danny, how's Jessica been? When I called her this week she said she was sick?" Zoe says

"Ah, mom she's just been a bit off this week. She's stressing herself out. I feel horrible."

"She seemed a little tense. Once the party comes she'll loosen up. I bet she just wants everything to be perfect."

"Indeed she does. It's been more of an emotional week than anything else."

The next day once everyone, including Sarah, Evan, Ann, Jack, and Chase were in town Danny and Jessica took everyone out for dinner. They all sat around a huge table with over fifteen people. It was chaotic but Jessica and Danny loved it, since it was very rare that both families were in town.

After dinner Jessica and Danny were extremely tired. The babies were down for the night and Jessica and Danny were in their bathroom changing for the night. Jessica came out of the closet with tears rushing down her face, once again.

"Baby, don't cry." Danny pouts

"It's too real. They'll be one in only a few hours!" She digs her head into his chest and sobs quietly. He holds onto her and sways back and forth trying to sooth her.

"It's a little sad... but hey, tomorrow will be a great day!"

"I wish I could hold me little itty bitty babies again. Now they are getting so big and grown up! They need to stop growing up!"

June 25th-

Jessica woke up early and ran into the babies nursery. They were wide awake, waiting for her to great them. She picked them both up and held them close to her.

"Happy birthday, my little munchkins! You are a year old today. It's only been one year since you came into this world. Isn't that's so amazing?" She kisses them both and they smile.

Wyatt starts to clap and Jessica giggles. "You little cutie! Are you happy?"

Danny walks in and takes them from her saying his happy birthdays.

"Today's the day. Everyone came into town for your birthdays!" Danny says happily

Jessica leans in close to Danny and wraps her arms around him and the babies.

"A year ago today since we became an official family, and our lives changed for the better." Danny says softly, kissing Jessica's forehead. Scarlett watches Danny's motions and leans in, kissing Jessica as well.

"Oh, thank you for the kisses, love!" Jessica says to her.

Later in the afternoon everyone headed over to the pavilion which was decorated just right. When the babies got to the pavilion their eyes lit up with all the lights and decorations hanging around. Immediately everyone took the babies from Jessica and Danny and spent time with them. They took pictures, played with them, and refused to let them go.

Jessica was getting some of the food ready then Ann walked over to her.

"This little party is so adorable! Chase seems to be having fun with the twins as well which is so cute!"

"I'm glad everyone is enjoying themselves. I really wanted it to be special."

"Well it sure is. How about I help you set up the cakes for them?" Ann says grabbing a pink one.

"That would be amazing, thanks!"

After everyone settled down Jessica and Danny sat the twins down on a white cloth. Jane and Ann had both of the cakes in their hands for the twins.

"Alright little ones, are you ready for everyone to sing happy birthday?" Jessica says happily once they are finally sitting still.

Scarlett smiles and hits the floor with excitement.

"Okay, here we go then!" Danny exclaims

Everyone gathers around the babies and sings happy birthday. Scarlett and Wyatt's eyes lit up as everyone's eyes were on the two of them. They started to scream with happiness and 'sing' along with everyone.

Jane and Ann then sat the cakes next to them. There was a blue one for Wyatt and pink for Scarlett.

"Happy birthday!" Everyone cheers

Danny and Jessica sit next to the babies and try to get them to eat their cakes.

"Okay, go ahead! Try it!" Danny says to Wyatt.

He immediately puts his hands into the cake and everyone laughs.

It took a while for Scarlett to catch on but when she did she dug in.

That night close family went over Jessica and Danny's for drinks. The twins were down for the night and Jessica was outside on the patio with her sisters, sharing a bottle of red wine.

Jessica didn't touch hers, she just sat in silence while her sisters talked.

They started to notice that Jessica was a bit zoned out so they paused.

"Jessie, what's going on?" Ann says

Jessica comes out of her daze and smiles. "Huh?"

"What's on your mind? Are you alright?" Jane says

"Me? Oh yeah... I'm-" Jessica stopped in the middle of her sentence.

"Jess?" Ann says softly

"Somethings up! I think I know what it is... but I don't know!"

"Talk to us, maybe we can help." Ann adds

"I thought that all this stress and sadness of the twins turning one and everything would be over with once the day was over, but I still feel weird!"

"Go on..." Jane says

"Over the last month I just feel different. Today at the party I kept thinking about my pregnancy, all of the symptoms I had, and whatever... then it hit me... I feel pregnant."

Ann and Jane were silent at first. They broke their silence and smiled. "You think you're pregnant? Is that what you're trying to say?"

"I'm an emotional wreck, always exhausted, I've been eating constantly, and..."

"You're late." Jane finishes her sentence

"Oh honey! I'm so happy for you! Have you taken a test?"

"Danny doesn't even know... so no, not yet. It just came across me today that maybe I've been so off because I'm pregnant."

"I say tell Danny and take a test." Ann nods

"Just don't tell anyone, okay?"

"No problem, we won't!"

Jessica and Danny were laying in bed, half asleep. Jessica couldn't seem to fall into a deep sleep like Danny. She had too much on her mind.

Jessica rolled over and shook Danny, trying to wake him. She turned on the light and he woke up immediately.

"Jess, its two in the morning." He groans

"I know, I'm sorry!" She sighs

"What's up? Is everything okay?"

"Danny, I need to tell you something. Now don't freak out in any way." She says softly

"Alright..."

"You and I both know I haven't been feeling well and I'm just a bit off."

He nods

"I think I'm pregnant..."
