Dreams
3 days until Christmas-
Everyone in the Lange family was scurrying around trying to get ready for the holidays. Jessica was luckily finished with all of her shopping. Now it was just time to wrap and relax. Jessica was getting closer and closer to her due date making it harder and harder for her to get around. She was feeling extra uncomfortable, moody, and tired so Dorthy was always there to help her out when she needed it.
"Mama! Play! Play!" Wyatt says standing at the bottom on the couch pulling on Jessica's arm. She was sleeping peacefully until her son begged for attention.
Dorthy tried to snatch him away before Jessica completely woke up, but it was too late.
"Wyatt, stop it." She snaps
"No, mama! Play!" He then hits her in the face
Jessica was furious "No! We do not hit! Do you hear me? No hitting! Bad boy!" Jessica says
Wyatt then begins to scream and cry... he never got in trouble before. When Jessica raised his voice, he knew he was screwed.
"I'm sorry, Jess. I had them in the kitchen making cookies... I wanted you to rest." Dorthy says trying to calm down Wyatt.
"Time out for you mister." Jessica says taking him to the stairs
"I sowey! I sowey!" He cries
Jessica rubs her temples and sighs with exhaustion. He had been a long few days... she was running off of zero hours of sleep and a pounding head ache. Luckily her parents were such a big help. Jessica had been extremely uncomfortable. It was hard to have a good day, but she tried her best.

Later in the day Jessica and her mother were sitting in the living with Scarlett and Wyatt. Jessica was trying to rest as much as possible during her server discomfort and braxton Hicks.
The twins were more relaxed towards the evening and sat quietly 'reading' their books.
Ever since Jessica ran into Sam, she couldn't take it off her mind. She was thrilled to hear that he was starting a construction business. The fact that maybe, just maybe, she could partner with him made her excited. It was secretly her dream to have her own interior design business. She decided to talk to her mom about it since he didn't share her lunch experience with anyone else.
"Hey mom, guess what." Jessica mutters
"Yes? Did your water break?" She jumps up
Jessica shakes her head and grins "no, not yet.... this baby boy has a while."
She says rubbing her belly
"Oh! Good! What's up?"
"I ran into Sam at the store a few days ago." She says
Dorthy widens her eyes "Oh... wow. How did that go?" She asks curiously. Jessica's past with Sam was bumpy. The two had lots of history. It had been a while since she last heard about or from him.
"Great, actually. We always run into each other. It seems as if he runs into me at the worst times in life. Anyways, we went out to lunch and he's starting a construction company... possibly!" Jessica smiles
"Really? That's great... I'm happy for him. His mother always said how tricky it has been for him to really find what he wants to do. I'm glad..."
"There is more..."
"More?" Dorthy says
"He said that maybe we should go into business together. He builds, I decorate. Just like HTV!" Jessica gets all excited and perks up... but Dorthy quickly killed the excitement.
Her mother's face went blank. "Jessica, do you think that's a good idea? You two have lots of history. The past few years haven't been good. Besides, you have a baby that will need you and the twins. Not saying your father and I aren't here for you, I just don't want you to be overwhelmed. You won't have to work for a while. Don't rush."
Jessica shakes her head and quickly becomes irritated. "Sam and I would work great together. We may have had a rough few years, but I spent seven wonderful years with him. We worked great together. I think this is a great idea! I can't believe you don't think so." She snaps
Dorthy sighs "It's not that, Jessica. But you two are in a small little town. I think it would be a little tricky to kick off a business. It can be risky... you could lose money. Lots of it."
Jessica rolls her eyes "I can never do anything for myself, can I? It's always about everyone else and what they want to do and what they think is best for me!" Jessica raises her voice
The twins pause and look at Jessica.... the room grows quiet.
"Everything Okay in here?" Albert says walking in
"No! I guess I'll be living the rest of my life doing what others think is best for me! Never what I want to do!" Jessica says, glaring at her mother.
"You're taking everything I said the wrong way, Jessica!"
"No, I'm not! You don't want me to work with him because why, we had a bad break up? Because I'm a mom and should stay at home and have you support me forever?" Jessica continues to raise her voice more and more, scaring Scarlett causing her to cry.
"Now Jessica, come on... I doubt that's what your mother meant." Albert says walking up to Jessica
"Ugh! My life is fucked! It's been fucked. Ever since I met Danny! It's like I lost my freedom. I got pregnant, moved to New York to work in the dumbest office and be miserable. I had dreams, remember? I wanted to go back to school! I never got to. Now here I am.... Sam and I had dreams together. It kills me everyday that they never fell through. Maybe this dream will... I just need a dream to come true." Jessica then starts to cry... she didn't mean everything she said, it was all out of anger and frustration. Scarlett, Wyatt, and this baby boy were the best blessings ever. Even though there may have been things that Jessica wanted to change, she wouldn't change them. But three years ago, this isn't the life she had pictured for herself. Sometimes it was hard but she tried to make the best of it. Even with Danny.
Jessica's cries become louder and louder. Albert takes the twins out of the room so they didn't have to see their mother in this state. It had scared them.
Dorthy wrapped her arms around Jessica and held her tight. Jessica fell into her mothers arms and cried more and more.
"I'm sorry, mom.... I'm so sorry." She cries
"Shhhh, don't apologize, baby. Your life is so beautiful. You're so beautiful and young. You have so much time to catch your dreams. I don't want you to hold back anymore. I won't hold you back, my love." Dorthy begins to cry with Jessica. She had never seen her so upset.
"I don't know what to do anymore. Everything is a mess! Everything! My relationship, my life. What do I do mom?" She screams
"You just focus on being healthy. Mentally and physically. That's all you have to worry about. You and your babies. The rest of the world can wait." Dorthy felt terrible for Jessica and making her so upset. She was obviously very delicate and had a lot to think over. Anything could set her off... she was hesitant of her and Sam doing something so big together. But she didn't say more....

Later that night-
After Jessica had calmed down her and the twins were up in the bedroom cuddled up. Jessica was reading them a book.
"Mama, green eggs?" Wyatt says with confusion.
"Yes baby, that's what it says. We've been over this." Jessica giggles
"Yucky!" Scarlett says sticking out her tongue.
"You're saying you would never eat green eggs and ham?" Jessica giggles
"No! Yucky!"
"Baby says yucky!" Scarlett says
"Baby brother says yucky too?" Jessica giggles
"Yes! No green!"
Jessica smiles. She sets the book down and wraps her arms around the twins.
"I love you two so much. When this baby comes mommy will have to take care of him and you two! But since you're a big girl and boy will you be able to help
Mommy take care of the baby?" Jessica smiles
"Yes!" Scarlett nods
"Just like you take care of your baby doll, sweetie."
Scarlett smiles and nods "okay!"
"Me too! Me too!" Wyatt says
"What good babies! Mommy loves you soooooo much!"
"This much?" Wyatt says spreading out his body.
"More".
"More?" He says trying to stretch as much as he can
Jessica giggles "What a cutie you are!"

Once the twins were in bed Jessica went downstairs. Her father was in the kitchen having a glass of water.
She held her back and wobbled in to join him.
"Hey Jessie, can't sleep?" Her dad asks getting her a cup
"Ehhh, no not really. I was actually craving some ice cream. Is there any left?" She says opening the freezer.
"Oh no. Looks like George ate the last of it." Albert chuckles
"Ehhh, I'm gonna kill him." Jessica says
"Want me to go get you some?" He asks
"That's alright, I'll go. The drive will make me sleepy which I need... to be sleepy." Jessica says grabbing the keys
"Okay, be careful on those roads. oh, and hey jess, you okay from earlier?" Albert says
Jessica sighs "I had a hormonal break down. But I'm okay dad." She smiles
Albert walks over and gives Jessica a big hug. "I love you and I want you to chase those crazy dreams of yours. And my offer still stands." He smiles
"Offer? What offer?" Jessica says raising her eyebrow
"To pay for you to go back to school... before you had the twins I told you I would. I still will." He says
Jessica gives her dad a tight hug and sniffles. "I love you, thanks dad."
"Alright, I'll listen to the monitor for the twins. Hurry back, be safe."
"I will. It's chilly but I need my ice cream!" She says
Jessica walks to the front door and slides on her winter boots and grabs her winter jacket. As she goes to zip it up she notices that it doesn't fit anymore.
"Ahhh, you're getting too big! Do you want mommy to freeze?" Jessica says grabbing Alberts jacket instead.
As Jessica opens the door someone was standing right at the doorstep. She caught them right as they began to knock on the door.
Jessica almost fell to the floor when she saw Danny standing right in front of her.
"Danny, what the hell are you doing here?" Jessica says
"Jess, I needed to see you. I knew you'd be here."
