September 12,
22 weeks pregnant-

After being home for a few months everything went back to normal. Life couldn't be better for Jessica, Danny, and the twins. Being back in New York was more refreshing then Jessica could have ever imagined. Everyone was back on a schedule, in good health, and things had really settled down.

Jessica and Danny were back at work while the twins went to daycare.

Scarlett was thriving, she recently had a check up with her neurologist in New York and everything seemed to be just fine. It has been almost three months since her last episode. Jessica and Danny were truly blessed for their little girl to be in good health again.

As for Jessica, her pregnancy was going well. It was much different this time around since she was only carrying one baby. Her little baby was doing well too. Healthy and strong. Scarlett and Wyatt were beginning to understand that there was going to be another baby, but still a bit confused. It would take some time for them to understand, but all in all Jessica and Danny were over the moon about their next addition.

Since it was the weekend, Jessica, Danny and the twins decided to have a lazy day... the work week always took a lot out of them so they wanted to relax. The only thing they had to do was go to Jessica's appointment to check on the baby... she was going to have an ultra sound so it would be the first time Scarlett and Wyatt could see the baby.

"Are you excited for mommy's appointment? Because I'm excited! I'm so excited!" Jessica cheers as she dances around Scarlett and Wyatt's room picking out their clothes for the day.

"Mama I want num nums!" Scarlett smiles

"Sweetie pie, you just had lunch!" Jessica giggles

"Num nums mama!" Wyatt says

"My chunky little babies! You're growing too fast! Mommy wants you to stay little forever." She smiles

"No, big boy!" Wyatt says sternly

"Oh! I see how it is mister. You want to be a big boy." Jessica crosses her arms, making a funny face. Wyatt begins to crack up at her facial expressions and Scarlett soon follows and begins to laugh.

Jessica sits down on the floor with the twins and begins to tickle them. The room was filled with laughter and smiles.

Danny walked in just in time to catch the beautiful moment.

"What's going on in here?" He asks

"Tickle time!" Jessica says tickling them even more

"No mama no!" Scarlett says trying to get away

"Awww, you love tickle time little girl!" Danny says catching her

"No tickle!" She giggles as Danny spins her around

Jessica stops for a moment and rubs her forehead. "Okay! Mommy has retired from tickle time for today!" She lays down on the floor and yawns.

"Looks like someone is tired!" Danny says

"Yes! But I need to wake myself up! Today is a big day!" She smiles

"Why?" He asks

Jessica gasps and playfully hits Danny's arm.

"Owe! What was that for?"

"The twins get to see their little baby brother or sister today! We finally were able to get a weekend appointment for my ultrasound!"

"Oh that's today?" He asks

"Yes! I'm so excited!" She smiles

"Aww, you're so cute." He says giving her a kiss

"Do we want to find out if it's a boy or girl today?"

"Goodness, I don't know! What do you think?"

"A part of me does, but the other half doesn't." She smiles

"I think in the moment we will want to know." He chuckles

"Maybe! Let's get these two chunks ready! I'm so excited!" She says getting up and dancing around.

"Hey Scarlett, Wyatt, did you know mommy is so excited?" Danny asks

They nod their head and chuckle

"Yeah, me too! She's said it about a million times." He says

"Hey!" She pouts

"I'm only kidding!"

Danny and Jessica were able to make it to Jessica's appointment on time. While Jessica got some tests done before the ultrasound, Danny watched over the twins who were extra hyper today. He was convinced that when Jessica was hyper, the twins were always ten times more hyper than her. Jessica and Danny sure did make some happy babies.

Once Jessica was done with her tests, they brought Danny and the twins back into her room so they could all see the baby together.

Jessica was laying down with her shirt up. The twins were a bit confused when they saw her belly... they were still trying to understand what was going on with their mother.

"Baby! Baby!" Wyatt says pointing to
Jessica's belly.

"Yes! That's right!" The doctor says

"They're just as excited as me, Danny!" Jessica smiles

"Are these two twins?"

"Yes! Scarlett and Wyatt. They're two!" Danny says

"How adorable! Are we going to find out the gender today?"

Jessica and Danny look at each other then back at the doctor. They start to laugh awkwardly.

"Is there any way you can put it on a slip. Then Jessica and I will decide if we want to know." Danny says

The doctor chuckles "Of course. Parents do this all the time!"

He puts the gel on Jessica's stomach and moves the Doppler around.

"How are you feeling, Jessica?"

"Wonderful. I feel a lot lighter and smaller at this stage. With the twins, it was much different!"

"It's a weird transition. But you seem to be measuring exactly where you should be. There is your little baby." He says

"Whoa, it's big!" Danny says

"Yes! Your little one is growing."

"Scarlett, Wyatt, that's the baby!" Jessica says with tears in her eyes

"Really? A baby?" Wyatt says staring at the screen

"Yes, that's your sibling... see, there is the head, their two legs, arms, feet!" The doctor exclaims

"Whoa! Hi babe!" Scarlett smiles

"Are you guys excited?" Jessica smiles

"Yes! Yes!" Wyatt exclaims

"I can't believe it, I think they finally understand now." Danny chuckles

A couple days later-

Jessica had the day off from work and decided to spend the day with the twins and run some errands. Danny had been working non stop the last few weeks that he wasn't home as often. Jessica really hoped that they could spend the day together, but he didn't have a single free day left.

Jessica took the twins to an indoor bouncy house so they could have some fun and burn off some steam. Jessica had lots of energy in her today and wanted to have a fun filled day.

"Mama, look, I bounce!" Wyatt says as he jumps inside the bouncy castle. Jessica stands on the other side and looks through the net.

"wow, baby! Look at you go!" Jessica giggles

"Me too, mama!" Scarlett says trying to bounce higher then Wyatt.

"My little monkeys seem to be going bananas!" Jessica smiles

They twins giggle then continue to jump. They jump away from the net and play with the other little kids. While Jessica has her eyes on the twins, her phone starts to ring.

"Hey honey, what's up? I'm at bouncy world with the twins." Jessica says to Danny

"Jess... I need to talk to you." He says

Jessica immediately sensed that Danny was down and something was bothering him.

"Is everything okay?"

"I'm just having a bad day at work, babe... I needed to hear your voice and just talk."

Jessica sighs "What's going on at work?"

"My boss... he's such a hard ass. Same with everyone I work with. I just wanted to apologize for being so busy, not being able to take care of your or spend time with the kids." He says with sadness

"No, Danny! It's okay... I understand that you're busy. Don't apologize, okay?"

"It just drives me insane that I leave you three everyday for a job that I hate. That I've been putting work ahead of everything else."

"Don't feel that way Danny. It's your job."

Then the phone goes quite. "Babe, I have to go. Don't wait up for me tonight, I have a business meeting in the city. I'll be out for most of the night, sadly." He huffs

Jessica nods "Okay, I love you. Just take one day at a time..."

Danny hangs up the phone and Jessica sighs. She's never heard Danny so upset before. That all came out of no where, making her sad.

"Okay you two! It seems to be that you're very tired! Let's get a move on so we can go home and take a nap." Jessica says, looking at the twins who laid inside the bouncy castle.

Later that night-

It was past ten... everyone had their dinner, was bathed, and in bed. Danny still wasn't home yet. Jessica wasn't worried or shocked that he was home so late, but she did wait for him.

Just Incase he didn't have dinner at his meeting, Jessica put aside some dinner for him. She wanted to talk to him about their phone call earlier and what has been on his mind so she decided to stay up.

She sat on the couch rubbing her belly and answering some emails.

Ten thirty rolled around and Jessica was exhausted from her long day with the twins. She decided to just head to bed and hopefully when Danny got home she'd wake up.

Twelve-

Danny slowly entered the apartment. He was wiped out. After a sixteen hour work day he felt like he was about to pass out. He spent the night in the city with co workers having important meetings. He was so drained and hated every second of today. Something overcame Danny. A big cloud of negativity, stress and pressure. He needed something to take the edge off.

He threw his suitcase on the floor, put his sports jacket in the closet and headed to the kitchen. He pulled out a bottle of Jack daniels and poured it into a glass.

There was a single light on in the kitchen that gave Danny some guidance. He sat at the table rubbing his temples with one hand and holding the glass with the other.

Jessica had the feeling Danny was home. She got out of bed and slowly made her way to the kitchen. She was half asleep but needed to make sure Danny was okay.

When she saw him sitting in the kitchen drinking she was shocked. Her and Danny weren't big drinkers what so ever. So seeing this stunned her.

"Danny? It's so late. Why don't you come join me in bed?" Jessica says softly

He doesn't turn her way. He just looks in the other direction.

"I'll be in soon. I had a long day. I need to relax first." He says in a strange tone.

Jessica walks to the table and sits across from him. He looked terrible.

"What's going on, Danny? You don't seem like yourself."

"Work is putting me through the ringer. I just had a bad day."

"A bad day? Or bad days...."

"Both. I'll be fine."

Jessica sighs and watches as Danny hopelessly drunks away.

"Alcohol won't help." She says taking the glass

He quickly takes her hand and gets back what's his.

"Let me finish it. Go to bed... you need rest."

"Danny, I'm worried."

"You don't have to be. Just go to bed."
