After Jessica left the hospital she felt so awful. Sam was in pain mentally and physically. She didn't kiss him goodbye or talk to him.

After she gathered herself in the hospital parking lot she texted Danny to bring over the kids. Thankfully Dorthy and Albert were both at the house. There was an accident in the house and now they have to do a lot of repair work and renovating. It would take a couple months but it worked perfectly since Dorthy was already staying at the house.

When she arrived home she explained everything to her mom. She was crying into her shoulders.

"Jessie, maybe he just needs some time to himself. He's going through a lot and just needs to cool off and recover. He's worried about you and so am I. You haven't slept since he's had his surgery. Are you sure you want the kids here tonight?" Dorthy says as she comforts her

Jessica wipes her tears and nods her head. "All I want to do is cuddle with my family in bed and watch a movie..." she sobs

"Oh honey..."

"I want him home I want us to all be together... and god these babies. Some days I just forget and it seems that I've never been able to enjoy my pregnancies."

"He'll be home soon. It's not unusual for him to be there for this long. Once his pain is managed he'll be back home. Everything will work out and before you know it you will all be together. Even those little girls . They'll be here before you know it and will bring so much joy." Dorthy smiles

Then, they were quickly interrupted when all three kids come running for Jessica. Albert let them in just at the right time with Danny behind them.

"Mommy!" Scarlett squeals

"Hi baby cakes! Ohhh I have missed you all so much."

The boys join in on the cuddles and rest up with their mother. Soon Jessica's tears disappeared.

"We brought food!" Wyatt says

Jessica looks up and sees Danny with Jessica's favorite Chinese food.

"Oh wow. You didn't have to do that." Jessica says

"You're going to make her cry." Albert says

"Oh al! Not right now!" Dorthy says

"I'll go set these down and head out!" Danny says

"Daddy! Stay!" Wyatt says

"Daddy!" Jack yells

Jessica looks at her mom then her dad. "Danny, why don't you stay for dinner? I mean you were kind enough to bring it, not saying I'll share, I'm pregnant, but stay." She laughs

"Are you sure?" He says

Albert stands up and takes the bags from his kids. "I think it would make the kids really happy." He says

After dinner Danny and Albert cleaned up while Jessica got the kids into their comfy clothes to watch a movie.

Everyone finally made it back to the same room. Dorthy put on a Disney movie for the kids after Danny said goodbye to them. Jessica walked him out.

"Thank you for the food. My poor mom has been cooking so much and I think I've forgotten how." She laughs

"It was no biggie. Thanks for having me stay. I'm just glad we can do this for the kids." He smiles

"Me too and the food hit the spot. How did you know?"

"Well, it's your favorite and I owe you since I wasn't really there when you were pregnant with Jack." He sighs

"Danny, it's okay. You should get home." She smiles

After a couple of hours Jessica fell asleep on the couch with all three of the kids. It was the most sleep she had in days. Just to check up, Dorthy wanted to call Sam.

"Hey Sam, it's Dorthy. How are you feeling?" She asks

"Like the worst husband ever." He sighs

"Sam, you are far from away from being the worst husband ever. I just wanted to call and make sure you were okay, I'm always here to talk and will be for a very long time. Our contractor said eight months!" Dorthy says trying to distract Sam.

"Give me a month to recover and I'll get it done in ninety days." Sam says softly

"I knew you'd say that." Dorthy laughs

"I'll be okay. I just need to get through this. I need Jessica to be okay." He says

"She's cuddle up on the couch with the kids and sleeping. She's doing okay. I talked to her and I think she understands. She loves you and you know her. Jessica just loves hard and will and never leave her loved ones sides." Dorthy chuckles

"I don't want to mess this up with her, Dorthy. I want to be the best for her and the best dad too."

"You are already a great father figure to the kids and will be an amazing father to your girls."

"Thank you, so much."

"When do you get your next round of medication?"

"Twenty minutes. I think I'll be out for the night after... hopefully. We are lowering the dosage tonight. I want to be home."

"Take it slow, hun."

"I hope she's okay. Tell her I love her."

"I will. Don't worry, she's okay. We've got her. You just take care. We will see you tomorrow."

Later that night Jessica moved all the kids upstairs. After late nap the kids were a bit hyper before bedtime. As tired as Jessica was she was glad to see them and spend this time with them. They haven't been home in almost two weeks.

Dorthy told Jessica that she called Sam and finally felt a little bit more relaxed. Dorthy and Jessica are going to bring the kids tomorrow to the hospital to visit Sam and surprise him.

"Guess who we get to see tomorrow?" Jessica says happily

"Sammy?" Wyatt exclaims

"Yes! Aren't you guys excited!"

"Yes! Yes! We have to make cards." Scarlett smiles

"We see Sammy tomorrow?" Jack smiles

"Mhm!"

"Is he coming back?" Wyatt asks

"Of course he is, he just needs a bit more time with the doctors." Jessica reassures him

"I'm ready!" Scarlett smiles

"Tomorrow morning my sweeties. Now let's all calm down and get comfy for bed, how does that sound?" Jessica smiles

The next morning Jessica got all of the kids ready to take to the hospital. She knew this would cheer Sam up. Maybe today would even be the day they'd let him go home.

One by one Scarlett, Wyatt and Jack slowly walk in to Sam's room. They couldn't hold in their excitement and ran towards him once they saw the bed.

Sam's bandages were taken off just last night, now the kids may not be as afraid.

Jessica told them all of the rules before going in, so when their eyes laid on Sam's, they knew to not do crazy.

"Oh my goodness! What are all of you doing here?" Sam says happily

"We came to say hi! Jessica says following in after them.

She rushes to Sam's side and gives him a hug and kiss. She hated how things were left yesterday but was just glad to be with him again.

"We got yummies" Wyatt says pulling out his snack bag

"You and your snacks, kid." Sam chuckles

"They for me!" Jack says taking them out of Wyatt's hand

"No sir... we do not do that." Jessica says taking away the snack bag.

"What have you guys been doing?" Sam asks the kids

"Daddy has been takin' us to fun parks." Wyatt says

"And we have fish!" Scarlett adds

"Fish? How many?" Sam says

"Three. For me and my brothers."

"What if we got fish, or lizards?" Sam says

"No pets, we have our hands full already with you little monkeys." Jessica says teasing the kids

Jessica and the kids stayed at the hospital for a few more hours. They loved being able to see Sam and sit with him. All of them had their snacks, told stories, laughed, and played with their toys.

It was so refreshing for Sam to have all three of the little ones there. He was even more happy that he could see Jessica after yesterday. He had been doing lots of thinking and yesterday it had all just hit him.

Jessica refused to let him apologize so they could carry on with the rest of their day.
