V

"Everybody move!" The lady adorned in blue, screamed while backing away. "He's got a knife!"

Her words sparked a ripple of chaos. People scattered like animals within the open airport after I walked out like the dumbass I was. Someone had just come at me with a knife, moments before. His blood stained on my clothes from when I took his knife and got him. Every splice, every screech he made, it was like I was the killer of a horror film and I hate horror. It's too gruesome, though nothing's as gruesome as the harsh light of reality. Just as I soon learned.

I stood there on the black, rubber floor. My head bowed and my hands shaking as I dropped the knife. The world around me began to slow down. I heard nothing. I felt nothing. I was nothing, yet I was still there. God, if A.J had just gotten here sooner or I hadn't gone to the fucking bathroom, maybe this wouldn't have happened. Maybe I would've been fine. But no, I screwed up. No thanks to my response to shock, now I look like a psychopath and my life is over. My life is... over.

Upon realizing what happened, my body fell to the floor. I dropped the knife and laid on this disgusting ground. My eyes welled up while my body shook the way earthquakes would. Long, hard, and uncontrollably.

I laid on the ground while faint voices could be heard from around. Just barely though, but I didn't care.  I didn't want this. I didn't want any of this. I just wanted to see my brother again. I just wanted to tell him how good I was doing despite my issues and everything that's fallen down on me. For once, I wanted to feel right. Now it won't happen. Now it'll never happen.

Right as I picked my head up, a voice called out.

"Raymond!"

His shiny, white loafers trudged on the sturdy as he came before security.

"Sir, you cannot be here," One of them said.

"Well, I'm his brother." A.J responded, once again making it about him. "And he's got problems."

"I'm afraid we'll have to take him into custody."

"That's fine." A.J nodded as he stepped nearby and our eyes locked together before he cracked a dirty smile. "I'll make sure we get him the help he needs."

You bastard, My eyebrows scrunched and my blood boiled as he said those words. As much as I wanted to punch him, I couldn't. So as the security guards  shackled my wrists, all I could do was stare back into my brother's devilish eyes. Once I'm pulled away, I turned back again and he waved. His hand emitting an eerie glow as he shook his head. He had won. That demon had finally won.
