LUNA
A few days had passed and I hadn't really seen much of Chan, until today. I left my dorm for my last class of the day, the sun was going to start setting soon. I started walking towards the english building but I heard someone call my name. I spun around looking, but didn't see him. I knew it was him, everything red was lit up like a Christmas tree.
"I'm over here." He said laughing as he jogged up to me.
"Oh hey. Where have you been?" I asked hoping everything was ok and he's just been busy.
"Oh, I had to go home for a couple days. That's all." He grimaced. "It's fine."
"Ahh, parents." I laughed. He let out an awkward laugh and then we both stayed silent for a moment. "What's up?"
"Oh! I was going to see if you wanted to see something cool." He shoved his hands in his pockets, and smiled at me again.
"I have class. I'm done at 7 though." I said looking up at him. His red hair was glowing like a halo on top of his head.
"Skip class" He suggested, "I have something I want to show you."
"I don't know. There might be a pop quiz." I joked, "and I'll never know if I skip class."
"Time is against us here, make up your mind."
"Ok fine. Let's go." I smiled back at him as we walked out to the parking lot behind the art building and got into his car.
"I'm surprised, you don't seem like the BMW type." I said getting in while he fiddled with the radio.
"I told you, I'm full of surprises." He said giving me a cheesy grin. I rolled my eyes as I sat back.
We left the college parking lot and headed out onto the back road behind the school. It was rural and the tall grasses waved in the wind around us as we drove past. I leaned my head back against the seat and felt the cool breeze blow across my face from the slightly open window. There was soft music coming from the radio. He stayed quiet, but I could feel him glance over at me.
Opening my eyes I glanced back at him and he quickly averted his gaze and a smile crept across his face. I laughed at him and he just shook his head. After a while we pulled off the main road and down a small dirt road that you probably would miss if you didn't know it was there. The tall grasses slow turned into trees the farther we went. Eventually ending up at a small cliff. He parked the car and got out, opening my door for me to get out too.
"What manners. I'm impressed." I smiled at him as we walked to the edge of the cliff and sat down.
"I'm not a complete jerk. I know how to open doors"
"So what are we doing here again?" I asked looking over at him as he leaned back on his hands that streched out behind him.
"Just wait, you'll see. Just a few minutes left."
A few minutes later and the sun had started to set. Perfectly centered between two mountains. There's wasn't a cloud in sight as the sky slowly turned different shades of gray. I took a deep breath in as I realized it was probably the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen. I could only imagine what it looked like to Chan now that he could see it in full color.
"Wow" I breathed in looking at the sight in front of me. "Chan, this is beautiful..."
"My favorite place in the world. I used to come here all the time. Anytime I just needed to think or be alone. This was it"
I hadn't realized how close we were sitting until I tore my eyes away and looked over at him. He was still watching the sunset with his hands in his lap.
"What made you want to share this with me?" I asked still watching him. He turned his head and looked at me sitting cross-legged next to him.
"You make me feel the same way this place does. That's why. This place has a lot of good memories for me. I wanted you to see it. Plus, it's pretty." He looked over at me and I noticed something had changed in his eyes. The way he looked at me was different, more like an old friend that he'd found again.
Slowly we got closer to each other and finally he put a palm to my face and pulled me towards him. He paused for a moment searching my face for any sign that I wanted him to stop, before closing his eyes and putting his lips on mine. They were warm and tasted sweet, deepening the kiss I put a my hands on either side of his face. I didn't want it to stop. I wanted him to kiss me for the rest of time. Eventually though, he pulled away and kept his eyes focused on mine. Still searching my face trying find some sort of disagreement from me.
"I wasn't planning that, I promise." He whispered to me as the sun finally set behind the mountains.
"I wouldn't care if you did." I whispered back with one of my hand still on his cheek. He leaned back in and kissed me again. This time more deeply. Being this close to him with his lips on mine sent electric shockwaves through my whole body, it gave me goosebumps, and the little hairs on the back of my neck stood up on end.
Especially when he put his hand on the side of my neck, his thumb rubbing small slow circles on my cheek.
When he finally pulled away the second time he cleared his throat and stood up, holding his hand out to me to help me up.
"We should go...It's getting really dark." He said wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing me again.
"Mmm, definitely" I mumbled kissing him back.
"You have to stop kissing me so we can go" He laughed between kisses.
"You're the one kissing me. You stop." I replied laughing.
"Ok, fine. Let's go." He said opening the car door for me. On the way back to campus, the mood in the car was lighter. He held my hand all the way back. Something between us had changed on the cliff, and I wasn't going to complain about it.
When we got back he turned off the car, and I could tell neither of us wanted to leave. Finally after a few minutes of comfortable silence he got out and opened my door for me. Instantly he put his hands on my waist and pulled me in for one last kiss before he walked me to my dorm and said goodnight. I needed to skip class more often with him.

CHAN
Walking away from her was hard, I could tell our connection was getting stronger. I needed to do more research and find out why she couldn't see full color yet. I'd gone to my parents house earlier this week, but seeing as how my mom made everything more difficult than it needed to be, I didn't find much. My father had books upon books on the whole topic of soulmates. But my mom still hated me for what happened even 4 years later.
I shoved my hands into my jean pockets and walked back to my apartment I shared with Changbin and Jisung.
"Why do you look so weird?" He asked looking at me from the couch.
"Nothing." I answered walking past him to the kitchen. Grabbing a snack out of the cabinet. I walked back past him and he held out his leg to stop me.
"Why do you look like that?"
"Like what?" I said as I stepped over his leg and fell onto the couch next to him.
"Like you're happy or something. It's weird. I don't know how to react." He joked trying really hard not to laugh.
"Cause I am" I replied opening my snack and eating it.
"Ok, now I'm weirded out." He joked again, "Wait, did something actually happen with you and that girl?"
"Her name is Luna, and maybe. Like I would tell you." I said, except this time I was the one trying not to laugh.
"Luna. Right. So you do see color! Cause you wouldn't go after her unless you did. I know you." He got excited sitting up straighter on the couch and focusing on me.
"We kissed, and that's all I'm saying" I smiled. I felt like an idiot acting how I was, but she made me feel like I wanted to live again. After what happened with my dad, I'd lost my will to do anything. He had been my best friend. I'd floated through life the last four years. I did what I had to, and I didn't a majority of it alone. Even Jisung and Changbin let me be most of the time to do what I needed alone. I was content to live my life alone, until she came along.
"HAHA! I KNEW IT!" Changbin said loudly as he stood up on the couch and jumped off.
"Wow. Ok, calm down." I said in shock, "You're not the one that kissed her, jesus."
"NO, BUT YOU DID! The old Channie is BACK!" Bin exclaimed loudly as Jisung came in the door to Changbin doing a weird dance in the middle of the room.
"Woah. What's his deal?" Jisung said laughing at Changbin.
"I kissed Luna. He's celebrating....I think...." I shrugged and walked back to my room. I could still hear the two of then jumping around and yelling through the door.

LUNA
I watched him walk away before I ventured up the stairs to my room. Bora was out with Seungmin and I had the room to myself. I threw myself down on my bed and took a deep breath. I couldn't help but think about what it felt like to kiss him, and how it made me feel. No kiss in my life had ever been so perfect. Just as I was riding off into the sunset with Chan as my shining knight in armour, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.
Chan: Hey, It's Chan.
Luna: How'd you even get my number?
Chan: Bora gave it to me.
Luna: Figures lol
Luna: So, what's up?
Chan: Nothing, I just wanted to talk to you.
Luna: Miss me already, huh?
Chan: I'm bored, and all I can think about is you.
Chan: Besides Changbin and Jisung left for a party.
Luna: Why didn't you go?
Chan: Not really my scene anymore.
Chan: Wanna come over and hang out with me?
Luna: Lemme leave a note for Bora, and I'll be right over. 😃
Chan: Ok! I'll send you the address.
I shoved my phone back in pocket and scribbled a note quickly for Bora before heading out the door. Chan's apartment was off campus, but close enough to walk to. I walked through to the very front of campus and across the street, then two blocks down and it was right on the corner.
The building was three stories and made of red brick. White trimmed windows were two by two on each floor, and the grayish black roof topped it all off. It didn't look like a place I had imagined Chan living in, but I guess when you live in a college town you don't have many choices.
After going up three flights of stairs, I caught my breath before knocking on his door. I didn't want to look like the out of shape mess that I was. I heard him moving around inside before finally opening the door.
"Hey" He said stepping back and letting me in, "Sorry, the place is a mess. Jisung is not a clean person." He laughed.
"It's ok, Bora isn't either." I laughed as he led me into the apartment. It had light gray walls white trim. There was a dark blue couch in the living room with a TV stand and a larger than life TV. The living room connected to a small open kitchen with dishes in the sink. There was a hallway that led down to three bedrooms and a bathroom at the end and dark hardwood floors.
"Wanna watch a movie?" He asked sitting down on the couch.
"Sure." I said sitting down next to him. After debating what movie to watch, we finally decided on an action movie we'd never seen. Sitting next to him all the little hairs on my neck stood up on end and my stomach was doing flip flops.
Settling in he grabbed a blanket off the back of the couch and threw it over us as the movie started. He leaned back against the couch and threw his feet up on the coffee table. I followed suit and leaned back against the back of the couch and pulled my legs up under me and smiled in the dark room. This was what everyone was talking about, feeling like you've been with your soulmate for years even though you just met. This was it.
