Akuma's POV________________
The monk and taijiya just sat there, in total and complete shock. I also happened to have notice the monk's eyes traveling lower and a perverted grin make its way onto his face. ' He's checking me out! The nerve that he has! I wonder how his parents dealt with such pervertedness! ' Sango must've noticed as well, for she was sending him death glares that could freeze hell and back. " You HENTAI!!!! " she screeched, but before she could slap him, he was thrown back by my right wing hitting him in the side. I then walked up to him and leaned over him, " Look at me like that again you bastard, I will do more than toss you across the room. Got it? " he nodded in response, worried for his health.
" If you want to live, follow me. " I said. I transformed once again, into my small fox form, hiding my presence. I passed through the bars, and breathed a plume of foxfire that melted the lock. I sat down and waited for the dumbfounded humans to walk out of the cell. Sango went first, cautiously stepping out into the open. I yipped, calling for Miroku to come as well. He inched forward slowly, and went to stand next to Sango. I stood back up and sniffed the air, ' Fresh air, to the left. ' I took the corridor to the left, trotting along, happy to get out of this place, ' And I've only been awake for less than an hour! '
At the end of the hallway, there was a door, partially open. I sniffed the air again, and found nothing wrong. Everything seemed ok, no traps, no guards, no nothing. I peered through the gap, only to find a small clearing surrounded by trees, no familiar scents AT ALL! ' Where in the seven hells am I? How long was I out? How far away are the others? Are the others ok? I hadn't smelled them in there, but they could've been somewhere different! ' my mind was overflowing with worries. " Um.... Hello? Are you ok? " Sango asked. ' Yes, yes, I'm fine human. Don't worry. I simply don't know where this place is or where we are. ' I answered through a mind-link. She gasped, ' Yes human, I can communicate through a mind link. Do not be afraid. ' I sniffed the air once more. ' Where do you need to go? I asked.
" We were traveling to the east, to exorcise a demon from a home. We are nomads, so we have no permanent home. " Sango replied. I nodded, ' How far away is your destination? ' " Only about two days walk. " throughout this whole conversation, Miroku has been giving Sango weird looks, as if she is talking to herself, for he cannot hear me. " What the hell is going on!? " " Well Miroku, I was just talking to-I don't think I ever got your name? " ' Akuma, my name is Akuma. ' I answered. " I was simply chatting with Akuma, my dear pervert. " Sango answered. " Talking? With a DEMON?! Are you CRAZY!? DEMONS ARE OUR ENEMIES! THEY HATE US, WE HATE THEM! End. Of. Story. " he yelled, " They don't have the ability to love! Those monsters only have the ability to KILL!! " I simply walked away. Just walked, not caring if they were following or not.
I found myself next to a hotspring, in my human form, already getting ready to slip into the warm water. Then it finally hit me, ' Those monsters... ' A single tear escaped my eye.
Flashback
" Look! It's the monster! " " No, don't get to close to it! " " The monster! It's going to kill us all! " that was my first encounter with a human village. It was the worst time of my life. They had attacked me with pitchforks and torches, FOR NO REASON AT ALL! I was abused, called a monster, vermin, waste of breath, and even worse things. I don't know for how long, but I was in a depression. Until I met him. I had gone to the border of the east and the west, where there was a cliff. I had come to commit suicide, for I didn't believe that there was ANYTHING to live for.
I had jumped, I was falling 100 feet per second, the adrenaline pumping through my veins. Until I stopped, I thought I was dead, that I was finally at peace, it smelt peaceful, like thunder and spring water, with a hint of water lilies. It felt peaceful, cool, and it felt as if I was meant to be there. I opened my eyes, not to find myself in death, but in a pair of arms. I looked up at the young boy, long white hair flowing in the breeze, golden eyes filled with worry, and his lips pursed into a frown. " Are you okay young maiden? " the boy asked with a silky smooth voice.
I only nodded, then realized that he was taking me to the western palace. " Why are you taking me to Uncle Toga's home? " I asked politely. At that he stopped so suddenly that I flew right out of his arms, I instinctively snapped out my wings, using my tail for balance. I flew back to him, who was still frozen mid-flight. " Hello? Anybody home? " I asked, waving my hand in front of his shocked face, when I realized that he had royal markings.
He had twin pairs of magenta stripes across his cheeks and a blue cresecnt moon on his forehead. " How. Do. You. Know. My. Father? " he asked. " I'm from the eastern lands, Chichi-ue is the lord of the eastern lands. Uncle Toga comes by sometimes to play with me, and always flirting with Haha-ue, then Chichi-ue always yells at Uncle for being a perverted bastard. " I looked at him more closely, realizing that some of his frpeatures are similar to Uncle Toga's. *DING* " You must be Uncles spoiled son, Uncle is always talking about you Sesomaru. " I smiled.
His eye twitched. " My name is Sesshomaru, not Sesomaru! " he yelled, zooming toward me. I dodged and he slammed face first into a tall tree. " Hehehe, you're funny Sessh-o-mar-u! " I giggled.
End Flashback____________
I realized that I was crying. I was wet, naked, and a crying, sobbing mess, hoping for some sort of hope. I'm lost, my wings hurt, and, most of all, I'm alone. ' Monster! Vermin! Kill us all! ' I slid into the water, trying to drown my sorrows. ' Don't get to close to it! They only have the ability to KILL! ' " I'm not a monster... I have the ability to love....... Right? "
