Chapter 2 (rewrite)

Sania found herself in the bathroom, splashing her face with water as if her life depended on how much water could touch her face per second.

Her mind was swirling in panic as she still couldn't comprehend the reality she had found herself in. How could this be? From all people, why did it have to be him, the one who turned out to be her Sister's Fiancé?

Sania freaked out for what felt like the hundredth time after she had run away from them, giving a sloppy excuse and closing herself in the bathroom, which thankfully she hadn't taken that long to find in the rush that she was to just disappear somewhere.

Her anxiety felt like it had reached its peak as she kept thinking about him, and the way he had shown no reaction upon seeing her. It was as if he didn't even recognise Sania, as he just reached out his hand to her for a handshake with a smile on his lips, claiming to be delighted to finally be meeting Sania. Meanwhile, she stood there frozen before his smiling face, like an idiot.

The recalling made her start slapping her face from right to left like a maniac in an attempt to shake herself out of her recent memory, then Sania brought her movements to a stop, as she noticed a lady standing by the doorstep. She looked at Sania weirdly, then walked away while murmuring something Sania couldn't quite hear.

Sania stared in her direction for a bit, perplexed, then decided to ignore her and just looked back in the mirror, leaving a deep exhale escape from her lips while watching her messed-up face and the running makeup that had made her look like a panda.

That's what happens when you drench yourself without thinking twice.

Sania complained inwardly before opening her bag and proceeded to fix herself up while simultaneously trying to gather her thoughts and analyze her current situation.

She decided to take things one at a time.

"He is the one I fell in love with in New York, and also, he unfortunately seems to be my sister's Fiancé, which means that I am totally screwed if anyone finds out about this."

She jumped from irritation around while kicking and going completely nuts at the thought, then she halted again, took a deep breath, and looked back at the mirror before she started to talk to her reflection again.

"But wait a minute, he seemed not to have recognized me earlier when my sister introduced us, which is a good thing cause he will probably think that I am a bitch that goes with whoever she sees in front of her, but on the other hand, how dare he forget about me! Agh", Irritation was taking over her as once again her feelings were mixed, so she ended up splashing water on her face once again in annoyance, and then she halted, a few curse words escaping her lips as she just figured out that she had ruined her makeup even more. The grimace of frustration took over her face completely, and she decided to remove it completely instead of refixing it.

If someone were to see Sania at that moment, they may have claimed that she looked crazy, and truth was, they wouldn't have been too far off the mark, as at that instant, she felt like she was about to lose her mind. Her world had come upside down, and she was feeling complicated emotions as she was sad and happy at the same time. Sad that he didn't remember her, and happy as well for the fact that she had finally found him. What was the point of it now, however, obviously, she could never pursue him anymore. Sania had to erase him from her heart forever.

"Yep, that's exactly what I will do, erase him quicker than the delete button deletes a file, and throw him out of my heart as easily as one throws away a basketball."

She told herself confidently and gazed at the mirror, ready to make those words a reality, but as she kept staring for a while, his face suddenly popped into her mind, making her heartbeat speed up and prompting her to quickly slap herself to make it go away, only for her mind to throw at her an even worse image.

The image of him kissing her passionately that night and proceeding to make her his. The recalling memory caused her to land one more slap to herself harder than the one before, then Sania proceeded to drown herself in water in hopes that it could wash away everything that she was feeling.

Her sins, her thoughts, her whole existence, if she were to be lucky enough.

"This won't be as easy as it sounds. Damn!!" Sania murmured as she lowered her head, sadness filling her insides while the water started slowly dripping from her face.

She stayed like that without moving for a while, tears welling in her eyes.

Why did she have to be this unfortunate?

No matter who knew about it or not, she would have to live with the fact that she had slept with her sister's man. She felt like tearing herself up just thinking about it.

Sania would have never done anything to hurt her sister. She loves her way too much, yet here she found herself being the traitor. This could ruin their relationship forever. Ria would never forgive her, nor would she ever trust her again. Sania just didn't feel confident enough to live without her sister's love.

Yes, they had been living apart for some years now, but they had each other's support. She could always count on Ria if she ever found herself in a tight spot. She could recall their childhood with a smile, knowing that when they met, it would be like no time had passed between them. No hard feelings ever lasted. But this one was different...this one could be the end of everything between her and her sister.

An aching feeling gathered in her throat at the thought of losing her sister, but her chest got heavy, realizing she could never have him either. She had never loved anyone in her whole life. Anyone but him. She had not let anyone but him touch her. She had dreamed of him only and had hoped to know him fully. She had spent countless nights thinking about his personality, how he would react in x or y situation. How would it be to eat together and smile together? What heartaches may he have, and she had ever rehearsed in her mind how she could comfort and soothe whatever scares life had given him.

So silly of her. Fantasizing, imagining. Filling her loneliness with lies. Thinking that she can get the chance to give all the love she possesses to someone for once.

Her thoughts had sunk deep till a sudden touch on her shoulder brought her back to earth and startled the life out of her.

"Are you okay, miss?" A young gentleman asked Sania with a worried expression on his face, as she jumped in place and looked past her shoulder, terrified.

Panic washed over her instantly upon realising that she wasn't alone anymore, but that feeling intensified when her memory caught up to her and made her realize that she knew this man who was now standing before her. On reflex, she tried to hide her face quickly as she didn't want him to recognise her.

He was with Jimin that night at the club, when she had first seen him, thing that meant that he might be Jimin's friend.

Oh, God! Please make sure that he doesn't recognize me either.

Sania prayed on her head while she managed to respond to him, claiming that she was just fine. Then a sudden thought hit her, and she turned to look at her surroundings quickly.

"Excuse me, isn't this the ladies' bathroom?"

A faint smirk took over his lips for an instant as he collected himself quickly, putting on his poker face.

"It's not actually."

The instant Sania heard his response, she wanted to facepalm so hard out of embarrassment that she had entered the wrong bathrooms that she even wished inside for the earth to open up and swallow her whole.

She gave him an awkward smile as she turned around and proceeded to gather her stuff that was left all over the place and, in a rush, placed them messily in her bag.

"You are Sania, right?" Her heart froze along with her body as his question entered her ears, and she gulped in fear of him having recognized her, before hesitantly looking at him with wide eyes.

"How- How do you know me?" He walked to the faucet and turned on the water, and proceeded to wash his hands before finally giving Sania his reply. He didn't seem in a rush to explain anything to her.

"Your sister introduced us earlier, but it seems you weren't paying much attention. I am Jimin's best friend." He claimed, and the image of him at the side of Jimin, a few steps behind him, came to her mind along with Ria, who had introduced him right after she had finished presenting her Fiancé to Sania. However, Sania's mind had stopped working from the moment she came face-to-face with Jimin, so she had barely paid any attention to anything after that.

"Oh! Right sorry. Ehmm.." Sania tried to remember his name but had no luck.

She wondered if his name had been mentioned before, cause she certainly had been too occupied with thinking about how to run away, and thus, even if the name was mentioned, she wouldn't recall it. Heck, she hadn't even recognised him at that right moment. Which she was partially thankful for because she didn't feel like she was capable of freaking out more than she already was.

"Jungkook. Jeon Jungkook"

"Right, I knew that." She told him before gifting him an awkward smile, then proceeded to slightly bow her head in an attempt to excuse herself, but as soon as Sania took two steps, Jungkook grabbed her arm unexpectedly, keeping her in place.

"Excuse me, but I have a feeling I have met you before." He leaned closer, examining her face, and Sania just pulled away abruptly in a panicked state, trying her best not to let it show on the surface.

"If you are trying to flirt with me, you are wasting your time." She glared at him, and he put his hands up in a surrendering manner, before claiming that it wasn't his intention.

"I just have a feeling, I don't know, I may be mistaken, I apologize ." He added, seemingly sincere, and Sania just gave him a death stare before exiting the bathroom.

Jungkook looked at the door as she left, still wondering where he had seen her before since Sania looked like a familiar face to him, and he never forgets a face easily; he just couldn't quite pinpoint it yet.

----Time skip---

Sania spent the rest of the evening avoiding Jimin's presence at the whole party, and she tried to avoid Jungkook as well, out of fear that he might recognize her.

She was literally playing hide and seek as she went from hiding behind a big vase to a table, then hiding behind random people.

Sania was sure that most of the guests would be thinking that she was a weird person, but she had no time to worry about that. Saving face to strangers wasn't more important to her than saving her life, and certainly, the mess she had found herself in definitely felt life-threatening to her.

Sania looked around in search of her sister to give her some excuse that could get her away from this party already. She totally wanted to leave this hell as soon as possible, but Ria seemed nowhere to be found.

Where could she have gone? Jimin is right there.

Sania wondered as Ria wasn't by her fiancé's side, nor was she with her mother, as far as Sania could see from the place where she was hiding. After looking a bit more around, she couldn't help but move from where she was hiding and start looking around for Ria, soon finding herself lost in the long halls of the big, mesmerizing Mansion.

This mansion is as beautiful as the owner.

Sania caught herself thinking as she stared in awe at the beautiful decorations and at what seemed like ancient vases and sculptures that she had found on her way.

Her attention didn't take long to get sucked into the sights around her till she came to notice a door that was half-opened. A sight that brought Sania's feet to a halt.

Her curiosity rose and took the best of her, as from all the doors she had passed by till that moment, this was the only one opened, and she couldn't help but wonder where it led to. In hopes of finding some more amazing sights worth seeing in there, Sania slowly opened the door farther and peeked inside.

"What the -- Sister?" Sania fell short of words once facing the unexpected view before her eyes. Mouth hanging slightly open in shock, and feet frozen instantly as the two people whose kiss she had interrupted turned to face her.

"Sania?"
