Friday finally rolled around, the evening had been a fast approach during the day. Tony had been regretting the entire day so far, having been glared at by Steve every turn he made.

They were supposed to convene down at the main lobby of the compound before they headed off to the Stark Gala that was planned for tonight.

Currently Tony stood alone in his bathroom, staring at himself in the mirror as he fixed the red tie of his suit. Running his fingers through his hair to give it the needed look. Golden amber eyes stared back at him, and Tony wished he could let them shimmer for all to see. However the public would not take lightly to the unnatural colour, they would have questions, and Tony could not risk exposing their kind.

Those golden amber orbs fell onto the container holding the contacts that would change his eye colour to the whiskey brown the public knew and loved. He took a few minutes to slip them in, blinking as he adjusted to the familiar feeling of contacts in his eyes.

Looking back to the mirror, a more human Tony Stark stared back at him. Whiskey brown eyes blinking, only the smallest glimmer of gold in his eyes. Near impossible to spot unless looked for.

Once he was satisfied with his appearance, he grabbed his phone and stuffed it into his suit pocket. Clipping his watch onto his wrist. Turning on his heel, he strutted from the bathroom and out of his room. Making his way towards the main lobby to meet the others.

~~~~
Upon reaching the lobby, whiskey brown eyes scanned the others gathered there.
Natasha was dressed in a crimson floor length dress with a split up the left leg. She had black heels that brought her around his height. Her red shoulder length hair was curled, a few strands pulled back to the back of her head. Her makeup was subtle, but made her emerald green eyes pop against her outfit. Giving them a glowing look.
Bruce was a bit less fancy, but still managed a formal look. He had never been one for tuxedos. The scientist was dressed in a purple polo shirt, black slacks, and dress shoes. His salt and pepper coloured hair was its normally bouncy, curly self. Prim, neat, small, and not flashy. Just the way the scientist liked it.
Clint stood there, arms crossed over his chest. He wore a traditional black tuxedo, a purple tie to represent his alias and his favourite colour. His dirty blond hair and grey-blue eyes standing out amongst his outfit choice. He looked bored, as if he'd rather be doing anything else. Tony had to agree with him there.
Bucky was wearing a black tuxedo, looking nervous as he stood there. Stormy blue eyes focused on something else in the room. His metal arm was covered, white gloves covering both of his hands to not raise suspicion. His brown, shoulder eight hair, was tied back into a ponytail.
And then there was Steve. Wearing a navy blue suit that brought out his ocean eyes and blond hair. Black dress shoes that were a strong contrast. His shoulders were squared, spine straightened, and a hard look in his eyes. Tony had seen that look for years, the Alpha was in business mode.
And Thor was off world, so he wouldn't be attending tonight's Gala.
Steve's hard look fell onto the billionaire, narrowing his eyes slightly. "Late as always, Stark."
Tony squared his shoulders, doing his best to show as confident and relaxed at the same time. "I prefer the term "fashionably late", Alpha Rogers." He replied.
There were a few beats of tense silence, soon broken by Tony clapping his hands and grinning at the others gathered. "Alright lady and gentlemen, let's get a move on. Got a tight schedule to keep, and I personally do not want to face Pepper for being late!" He waved his hands towards the door, before strutting his way over to them. "Happy will be driving the Limo. None of you are to step out until he opens the door for you. Standard stuff."
And so Tony lead them towards the Limo, holding his head up high and allowing his usual persona out to play. The Tony Stark that didn't give a shit what people thought of him, the guy that did what he wanted, the press' favourite playboy, the Merchant of Death to be literal.
~~~~

The Limo ride had been quite uneventful, Tony had sat next to Clint and Bruce on the way down to the building where the Gala was being held.

Happy put the vehicle in park, leaning over the back of his seat to find Tony's eyes. "Ready, boss?" He questioned with a small quirks of his lips.

Tony looked to the man that was head of his security team. "Yeah, we're ready." He confirmed.

The driver got out of his seat, squaring his shoulders and putting an emotionless face back on. He closed his door, circling around the Limo to open the back door that would lead the pack to the entrance of the building for the Gala.

Reporters were all gathered around, blocked off by the border of the entrance. The paparazzi were nowhere in sight, which made Tony breathe a sigh of relief.

Clint and Natasha slipped out first, flanked by Bruce. Cameras flashed as they walked by. Bruce awkwardly waved, giving a small smile. Natasha and Clint kept their faces neutral, facing forwards and heading straight for the building entrance.

Bucky and Steve slipped out together, the camera flashes amped up then. Steve answered a few questions that the reporters slung his way. Bucky remained quiet and stoic like Natasha and Clint. Heading straight for the building.

Tony waited a moment before stepping out, flashing his signature press smile and smirk. Waving at people and shaking hands. He was excellent at answering questions quickly for the reporters, jumping to as many as he could before he would reach the building entrance. It took longer for him to get to the entrance, as predicted, as he was talking to reporters and answering their questions.

He gave a final wave to the reporters before disappearing into the large building that hosted the Stark Industries Gala.

Tony set foot into the building, feeling slightly relieved at being away from the reporters. However, he knew some reporters had been approved to be attending the Gala that night. Looking down at his watch, it read 8:00 PM. Right on time.

Whiskey brown eyes glanced around, falling on the bar. The genius headed over, deciding he at least needed something to drink if he was going to be talking to stuck up businesspeople.

He ordered Scotch, having it put on his tab. Nodding at the bartender, he turned and walked off into the ever growing crowd of people. Being stopped occasionally by people to chat.

Tony weaved in and out of the crowd, chatting it up with people that could be possible patrons for Stark Industries and the fundraiser for the efforts to rebuild Sokovia. His scotch slowly dwindled down as he spoke with other people. The time seemed to slowly tick by for the genius as he sweet talked people into helping out. Giving them his signature smile and letting the business side of his public persona out to play.

An hour had fully ticked by as he was on his second glass of scotch, whiskey brown eyes scanning the crowd. He had been sweet talking people for the entire hour, now he leaned against the side of the bar. Listening to the music drifting through the room. It thankfully wasn't loud as his enhanced hearing would disagree with the added noise. People talking were loud enough as it is.

He picked up on the sound of heels approaching him. It didn't sound like Pepper's determined walk, it was softer but still determined in its way. He turned his head, finding a familiar blonde heading his way. A notepad and pen in her grasp.

"Mr. Stark, pleasure to see you here." She beamed at him as she situated herself just in front of him.

"Christine Everhart, the pleasure is mine. You look great, by the way." Tony smiled back at the familiar reporter, whiskey brown eyes scanning over her outfit. She smelled of strawberries and vanilla to the male wolf, soothing but not too sweet.

"Well thank you. You don't look too bad yourself, Mr. Stark." Christine nodded. "Now, I have a few questions for you. Are you willing to answer questions related to the Ultron attack and Sokovia's fall?" She questioned, standing tall despite being shorter than the 5'9" male.

Tony raised an eyebrow, straightening himself out. "Well you have my attention, Miss Everhart. Ask away." He waved his hand in permission.

"Now, we know you and Stark Industries released a statement concerning the entire fiasco, but I am looking for more on the subject." Christine began, clicking her pen to write down anything he said.

"And that would be?" Tony quirked an eyebrow further up his forehead.

"Was Ultron truly your creation, Mr. Stark?" Christine questioned.

"No. Ultron was supposed to be a peacekeeping program, but we weren't even close to an interface at the time. The Mind Stone brought Ultron to life." Tony rambled off an answer.

"And how did Ultron go from a supposed peacekeeping program to wanting to make humans evolve?"

"Ultron woke up and dived straight into the Internet, he saw things too quickly and only saw the worst in the world. So he set out to "fix" it." Tony put air quotes around the word fix.

Christine scribbled that down on her notepad, nodding along. "The Avengers are being blamed for the fall of Sokovia, do you agree with this?"

"I agree we could have done much more, could have saved many more lives. I cannot totally agree on the Avengers being blamed for the entirety of the accident, but I do agree we are responsible for a portion of it, yes." Tony replied honestly.

Christine hummed, writing down his answer. "What happened to Scarlet Witch? She was seen fighting alongside you guys."

Tony tapped his scotch glass. "The location of the Scarlet Witch is unknown at the moment, she disappeared not long after the battle."

The two soon fell into a smooth back and forth of questions and answers.

~~~~
Stephen Strange, Sorcerer Supreme and Master of the Mystic Arts, stood in front of his mirror. Shaky fingers adjusting his tie.
The cloak floated nearby, watching the former neurosurgeon intently.
Stephen gave up and flicked his fingers, allowing magic to straighten and fix his tie. His azure blue and green speckles eyes stared back at him from the mirror, cold and nearly emotionless. Except for the slight nerves swimming in those bright orbs.
He turned his attention to the cloak. It was only him and the cloak in the sanctum at the time, Wong would arrive shortly after he left to make sure it was protected.
"What? If you want to come, you can't come in that form." Stephen told the cloak, crossing his arms.
The cloak folded itself into a handkerchief, floating into its master's hand.
Stephen raised an eyebrow. "Smart choice." He commented, tucking the handkerchief into his suit breast pocket.
Smoothing his hands over his suit, he reminded himself of why he was attending the Stark Gala that night. A peculiar type of signature had been showing up on their radar, popping up around the city in random bursts. He had the suspicion it had something to do with the wild wolf attacks in public areas.
Just earlier the signature had shown up at the Gala, so the sorcerer decided to attend and try to pinpoint the source of the peculiar signature.
Checking his watch, he scowled at the cracks in the glass. Looking to the clock on the wall in the bathroom, he noted it was 10:10 PM. Two hours after the Gala started, a perfect time for him to portal in and not be noticed as it should be fairly busy.
He heard footsteps downstairs and Wong's voice call out. "Stephen?"
"Upstairs, about to head out!" Stephen called back.
"Okay! Don't do anything stupid!" Wong yelled back, his voice closer. He must've ascended the stairs.
Stephen snorted, but gave no response. He felt the cloak, in handkerchief form, rustle in his pocket reassuringly. With that, Stephen opened a portal to one of the bathrooms in the Gala.
~~~~

Stephen had been wandering the Gala hall for the past fifteen minutes. Keeping an eye on the people in the crowd. He took note of the Avengers being there, reporters, businesspeople, security, and he even noticed Miss Potts.

He, nor the cloak, could pinpoint where exactly the signature of energy was coming from. It was in various spots across the building, but he could never pinpoint it to an object or a person. It made him frustrated not knowing what the signature was, or where it was coming from. He liked knowing everything.

Stephen decided to wander around more, looking for anything that could strike as the possible carrier for the signature. The signature was definitely inside, his magic readings said so. They normally were never wrong. He fought back the urge to grind his teeth in frustration. It was highly unlikely someone was playing a prank on them. Something like this couldn't be a prank.

He doubted they were rogue sorcerers. Those had a different energy signature and showed more signs of magic in their signatures.

This signature almost looked otherworldly, ancient looking in a way, none of the other Masters knew about it. It was new to all of them. They all wished to know what or who was causing such a signature, but so far they had had no luck in figuring it out.

He sighed, shaking his head. He'd just have to keep an eye out for the time being. No way was he giving up when he was only twenty minutes in.

Wandering around, Stephen paused when his blue-green eyes fell onto a very familiar face in the News. Dr. Tony Stark. He rose an eyebrow at the scene in front of him. Stark was pretty much getting harassed by a ravenette with a pocket recorder in hand. Having dealt with his own fair share of those pesky reporters, he felt the billionaire's pain.

However, he stood back. Wanting to see if the billionaire could fend her off himself.

Standing there, he observed for a few minutes as Tony Stark tried to get rid of the woman. He moved to a different spot, she had followed persistently. He had told her off, she stood her ground and got in his personal space again. He had attempted to ignore her, but she would get back into his field of vision.

Clearly the woman was not being persuaded away, and she clearly had no intentions of leaving the man alone. Whatever she was asking made the billionaire's face screw up in frustration and unease. Clearly whatever was being asked was an uncomfortable topic for the Stark.

Stephen was surprised he hadn't called security and had her escorted out for harassment. Looking around, he scowled at the fact no one paid any mind to the man clearly being harassed at this point. He spotted a blond man with blue eyes glaring in the direction of the Stark. That was interesting.

Turning his attention back to the situation playing in front of him, Stephen made a decision.

Walking forwards, Stephen headed towards the pesky ravenette and Dr. Stark.

As he came into earshot, he heard her asking quite personal questions. He shook his head quietly. As he got closer, he raised an eyebrow. "Sorry to interrupt, but I came to ask if Dr. Stark wanted to dance?"

Tony looked to the male, raising an eyebrow in response. That face was familiar to him, he couldn't place it yet however. Glancing to the now irritated reporter, he made his decision quickly. "I would love to." He turned whiskey brown coloured eyes to his unnamed saviour.

The reporter gaped. "Mr. Stark! You have yet to answer any of my questions yet! You have to before you can go anywhere!" She rattled off in defiance.

Stephen extended a hand to Dr. Stark, feeling the man's sturdier one clasp his gently but not too firmly. He pulled the shorter male to him, turning his glare onto the tantrum throwing ravenette. "Dr. Stark is not obligated to answer any questions you ask him. If I see you harassing him, or anyone else, I will call security and you will be escorted out."

With that, the sorcerer pulled the genius away and onto the dance floor. Shaky and scarred hands finding their way to the male's waist. The billionaire's arms wrapping around his neck in response.

"So, do I get to at least know the name of my knight in shining armour?" Tony questioned, the both of them falling into an easy sway together.

Stephen chuckled, taking one of Tony's hands from his shoulder. Pressing a kiss to the genius' knuckles, blue-green eyes met whiskey brown. "How rude of me. Dr. Stephen Strange at your service." He straightened up, allowing the man's hand to return to his shoulder.

Tony bit down a blush, but it did turn his ears red. He did recognize the name though, the face matched the name. "I knew I knew that face and voice!" He chirped in triumph, grinning.

Stephen raised an eyebrow at that. "So you've heard of me?"

"How could I not? Top of your field. World renowned neurosurgeon. That kind of status doesn't go unnoticed even by me." Tony rambled. "It's a shame I didn't meet you before your accident."

Stephen grimaced. "You wouldn't have wanted to. I was a total stuck up asshole."

Tony snorted. "Yeah, but so was I." He paused as they turned, weaving past other people dancing. "Say, where did you disappear off to after that incident? Rumour says you dropped off the map to go find a crazy solution for your hands?"

Stephen hummed. "I did find a solution, however it didn't heal my hands but gave me a way to cope with it. It gave me a rather important job to do as well." He mentioned simply, the two switching positions as the slow song ended. His left hand remaining on Tony's waist, the right one clasping his left hand. Tony's right hand remained on his shoulder.

"Yeah, I can tell. Your hands aren't shaking violently like I expected them to. Must've been an interesting but helpful remedy." Tony commented. The male wolf however could sense a powerful aura around the former neurosurgeon. A magical one at that. He was glad he had figured out to hide his own aura at a young age.

Stephen couldn't help the chuckle that rose out of him at that. "It definitely was." He agreed.

"Say, what's a man like you doing at a charity Gala?" Tony inquired, poking for answers. There had to be a reason a man like him, with an aura like that, was here.

Stephen could hear the underlying questions, feel it even. The genius knew something was up and he wanted answers. "A peculiar signature showed up on my radar and it happened to lead here." He answered.

Tony raised an eyebrow. He hoped the signature wasn't his pack. That would not be good, especially if this guy happened to try and do something about his kind. He hummed in response. He needed to know what this guy was. What he did. "What are you, exactly? I mean, what do you do? You said you found a rather important job and managed to cope with your hands. You also said you picked up on a peculiar signature. Stuff isn't adding up, Strange."

Stephen sighed, glancing around them he found no one listening in to their conversation. Looking back to those brilliant whiskey brown eyes, he dipped the male when the song was nearing its end. Casting a small silencing spell around them so no one could hear what was exchanged.

Tony squeaked in surprise at the sudden change. The noises around them quieted a little, as if they were underwater. However Strange's breathing was normal volume. His senses prickled at the sudden flux of almost undetected magic around them.

"A simple silencing spell so anyone listening cannot overhear this conversation." Stephen assured. "As for what I do.. Well, would you believe me I say I'm the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth, and a Master of the Mystic Arts?"

Tony blinked, the male's face close to his. Those blue-green eyes spectacularly distracting and mesmerizing. Refocusing on the information fed to him, he slowly nodded. "Okay... so Harry Potter but without the letter of going to Hogwarts?" He joked.

"Sure... if you must say that to comprehend what I told you." Stephen sighed, pulling the shorter male back to a standing position as the song faded out.

"But wait, a man of science suddenly doing magic and believing in it? That's absurd!" Tony blurted as soon as he was upright and they resumed their close position.

"Trust me, it was for me in the beginning as well. Now, I can understand both. Despite the logical side of my brain wanting to try and explain everything taught me to." Stephen shrugged, twirling the male out and back to his chest.

"Sounds like something I'd do, which I wanna do now." Tony grinned up at him. Sure he was not a big fan of magic, but clearly if this man had wanted to hurt him, he would have early on and no one could have said, or done, anything in time to stop him.

Stephen chuckled in response, pulling the short male flush against his chest. Smirking down at him. "Perhaps one day I can let you examine the magic we use." He proposed.

Tony, who had his arms wrapped around the taller male's neck, had to gaze up at him more now. "And what do you get out of that?"

"A date with you, perhaps?" Stephen quirked an eyebrow in question.

Tony glanced around the room, spotting Natasha and Bruce talking to one another. Natasha's emerald green eyes met his for a second and she did not look happy. Jealous even. She tore her eyes away, refocusing on Bruce. Said curly haired scientist was fidgeting, clearly trying to find the right thing to say to Natasha.

Stephen watched the genius look away and into the room, his blue-green eyes were attracted to the whiskey brown. As Tony turned his head, Stephen swore he saw the male's eyes flash golden. Blinking, they were their normal whiskey brown. He must be seeing things.

Turning his head in the direction Tony looked, he spotted a redhead he had seen on the Avengers' team. Wasn't her name Natasha Romanov? Standing next to her was Dr. Bruce Banner, the Hulk and another Avenger.

The two looked back to each other, Tony smiling up at him. The smile was a little uneasy at the edges. "I'll have to think on that, but you never know. I just might take you up on that offer." He winked. "Got a way I can contact you?"

The two pulled apart and Stephen pulled out an older looking smartphone, quite beat up but still functioning. If not just a little slow. He opened his contacts app and turned the phone over to the genius.

Tony took the battered up phone, entering his contact information and number. Handing it back over, he watched the sorcerer pocket it. "You know, I could fix that up for you. Even give you a totally new one." He offered.

"Oh no, you don't have to do that." Stephen tried to dismiss as they, once again, resumed their close position.

"Oh come on, count it as an extra bonus for letting me examine your magic!" Tony pleaded, looking like he really wanted to help.

Stephen mulled over the idea for a few moments. He finally sighed. "Alright, but not tonight. How about I give you the phone to fix either tomorrow or sometime next week?" He offered, giving in.

Tony grinned in triumph. "Anytime works for me, Wizard."

Stephen glared playfully. "Sorcerer."

"Oh no, I have to disagree. Totally a wizard." Tony smirked up at him, hearing the room around them return to normal volume. The feeling of the subtle magic disappearing with it.

The two fell into a playful argument over how Stephen was a wizard in Tony's eyes. With Stephen insisting he was a sorcerer.

~~~~
Steve Rogers, or Alpha Rogers as the pack referred to him as, stood off to the side. Surveying the dance floor not far from him. Ocean blue eyes focused on two men dancing together, as they had been for a while.
He had been straining to hear what they were talking about, but as soon as the taller male dipped Tony, he was unable to hear anything. Before he had heard bits and pieces of their conversation. The two were talking, but he couldn't hear a thing. As if someone pressed mute on them.
It infuriated him. His blue gaze fell into a sharp glare that he was sure the "beta" could feel burning into his back. He hoped he did. Tony was unruly and needed to know his place. Steve was the alpha.
He should go interfere. Maybe that ought to get it into Tony's head that he was not to dance with others outside of the pack. He had two mates he could dance with! Not some random stranger.
With his mind made up, Steve pushed off of the wall to make his way over to the two.
~~~~

Tony shifted uneasily at the feeling of that intense glare into his back. He forced down a whimper, his heart rate speeding up. He did his best to focus on Stephen's laughter as the former neurosurgeon spun him around again and back to his broad chest.

"Rip off of Harry Potter? I'd like to say I'm much better than him." Stephen shook his head in amusement. However he did pick up on the uneasy look that crossed Tony's face. He was going to question it when he felt it. Anger rolling off of someone in waves. A powerful aura, but not quite strong enough to overthrow him. It didn't match the signature he was looking for.

He watched Tony bite his lower lip, drawing closer to him at the dominant aura that radiated their way. Getting closer to them. Now that piqued his interest. A normal baseline human shouldn't be able to pick up on such a thing.

Stephen wanted to drag the clearly uncomfortable and fearful male away from whoever was coming their way. He lifted his head, looking for the source as he drew Tony even closer to him. Blue-green eyes fell on anger clouded ocean blues. Blond hair, muscular body, and tanned skin. It was Steve Rogers giving off the aura.

"Tony!" Steve's voice called out as he got into their reach, stopping the pair.

Tony let out a very quiet whimper, resting his head against the sorcerer's shoulder. Whiskey brown eyes not looking back at his alpha.

Stephen easily heard it, as it was near his ear. His grip tightened on Tony and he glared at the dominant male stopping their dancing. "Can we help you?" He bit out, clearly agitated.

Steve nearly snarled at the male, before the powerful aura hit him like a tonne of bricks. He reeled back. It wasn't an alpha's, nor was it a wolf's. It had some other supernatural feeling to it. He couldn't place his finger on it.

Stephen smirked, knowing quite well what he had just done. However he felt Tony shift in his arms when he did it.

Tony ducked his head into the sorcerer's neck. The powerful aura he aimed towards Steve wasn't angry, it felt safe to the genius. He had shifted in his arms to get closer.

Steve opened his mouth to respond to the male, a snarl building in his throat.

The clock struck 11:45 and a scream cut off whatever Steve was going to say.

The three whipped their heads around to see what was going on, people were running and trying to get out. What caused the initial scream was a woman who now lay dead on the ground. Bleeding out from her throat. Standing over top her was a fairly large grey wolf, reddish orange eyes glowing in the dimly lit Gala hall.

People ran, trying to escape the building as quickly as possible. The Avengers all quickly assessed the situation. Wolves of all sizes and colours were scattered around the room.

Stephen picked up on one thing instantly, the aura given off by these wolves. Their energy signature matched the one he and the other Masters had been looking for the past two months.

"Rogues." Tony growled out, backing away from Stephen. He tapped his watch, letting a prototype nanotech repulsor glove slip over his hand. He quickly launched into protecting the innocent people as the wolves set forth to attack anyone in sight.

People were dispersing quickly, and Stephen was not going to let the Avengers deal with it alone. Summoning his whip of orange Eldritch magic, he swung it out at a rogue wolf launching itself his way.

The Avengers set forth into attacking the wolves, keeping them away from the civilians trying to get out. However, many people still ended up dead despite their efforts.

Tony had made sure Pepper got out safely with Happy there to protect her. After that, he turned his full attention back to the rogue wolves attacking them.

As the people filtered out of the building, the only ones left now were the Avengers. Stephen Strange, the rogue wolves, and the dead and injured littering the floor.

The rogues outnumbered them greatly. One wolf suddenly launched forwards and towards Steve, snarling loudly. The super soldier met him head on, remaining human. They battled it out, Steve eventually rolling them over on the ground and snapping the wolf's neck. The snap rang out throughout the sudden silence, and pure chaos ensued afterwards.

The rogue wolves howled in anger, launching at the opposing team.

Stephen was whisked away into keeping two wolves from injuring him. Doing his best to keep them at bay and tire them out without fatally injuring the,. He wanted to at least have one to bring back to Kamar-Taj to figure out exactly what it was. One wolf lunged at him, and he hadn't grabbed it in time. It nearly bit his arm, but a repulsor blast fired it away. The wolf let out a bloodcurdling scream of pain as it flew through the air.

Stephen grabbed the other wolf with his whip, flinging it into the wall. He heard an eerie snapping of bones sound out as the wolf slumped to the ground, unmoving.

His azure blue and green eyes fell onto Tony being overwhelmed by four wolves. They were coming at him from all different sides, tag teaming him. Stephen grabbed the red handkerchief from his pocket and shook it out, revealing the cloak.

The cloak darted forwards, grabbing a silver wolf attacking Tony. It wrapped around it tightly. Beginning to bash it around and against the hardwood flooring as if it were a ragdoll.

With no other wolves attacking him, Stephen stepped in to help Tony. Flinging another wolf away from the genius. One rogue turned its attention away from Tony and charged at Stephen. Roaring out a snarl.

Stephen heard the loud ripping of clothes and his head whipped around to find Tony.

The genius' body contorted and began to reshape itself, fur sprouting quickly across his body as his, clearly expensive, clothing fell in tatters around him. In his place stood a moderately sized black and brown wolf with glowing amber eyes. The wolf- no, Tony, launched himself at the larger black rogue wolf. The two snarling and biting into one another as they rolled across the hard flooring.

In his distraction, Stephen wasn't able to react fast enough to the rogue wolf suddenly latching onto his arm and ripping through his clothing. Into his flesh. A cry of pain escaped him at the sharp teeth ripping into his arm, spilling blood down his arm.

The cloak was busy bashing wolves around on the ground, cracking their bones and skulls against the hardwood floor.

Tony bit into the rogue's throat, piercing its jugular and letting it bleed to death. At the cry of pain from Stephen, his head whipped up and around. Golden amber eyes flashing in fear. He knew a bite to the arm wouldn't turn the sorcerer, but that didn't quell his anxiety in any way.

He burst into a run, snarl growing in volume as he got closer. Using his hind legs, he kicked off the ground and into the air. Jaws open, he latched onto the sandy coloured wolf, taking him down to the ground.

The two wolves rolled, Tony ending up standing over the other. Snarl rippling through him as he lunged for the smaller wolf's throat. Viciously ripping it out. Blood splattering over his fur and the floor.

Raising his head, he heard the chaos slowly quiet down into panting from his packmates. Rogue wolves lay dead or unconscious around the room. Most were dead, and if not dead they would soon die from blood loss.

All of them had some form of injury, some worse than others. Bucky and Steve were barely injured. Clint and Natasha had some bleeding bite marks here and there. Bruce had managed to back away from the fight mostly, retaining only a few small injuries. Stephen had a fairly sized bleeding bite wound on his arm. Tony had blood all over him and bites and scratches littered his form. He had been targeted by quite a few of the rogues.

~~~~
After the bodies had been cleaned up and discarded of, the pack was deciding what to do next.
Stephen approached the wolf form of Tony. When those golden amber orbs fell on him, he sucked in a breath of amazement. So he hadn't been seeing things earlier. "You okay?" He questioned, crouching in front of the wolf.
Tony looked over his wounds, before back to the sorcerer. He nodded slightly. His enhanced healing factor, like the others of the pack, was kicking in. In a few hours he'd just be covered in blood and red marks where the wounds were.
Stephen gently reached out, touching the ear of the wolf. Watching as it flicked in response. He lifted his head when he heard footsteps approaching and found Dr. Banner.
"He's unable to talk in that form, unless you yourself are a wolf." The timid scientist explained, looking to his mate.
Stephen hummed, remaining crouched. The timid scientist didn't pose a threat to him, no matter if he had the Hulk or not.
"He also won't be able to shift back here, unless he wishes to prance around in his birthday suit until we can find him some clothes to wear." Bruce sighed, shaking his head.
Tony huffed, flicking his ears back and twitching his tail. Glaring at Bruce.
"Yeah, yeah. We all know you'd be quite willing to prance around naked." Bruce rolled his eyes as Tony lifted his nose into the air and looked away from them.
Loud and angry footsteps neared them, Steve glaring down at the shifted Tony. Pointing a finger at him. "Tony, this is your fault." He snarled out.
Stephen slowly got back to his full height, he and the super soldier were around the same height now that he looked at it.
Tony growled back in defiance. As if speaking that it wasn't.
"If you had the list of people thoroughly checked, and had gotten a background check on them, this would not have happened!" Steve bristled, snarling out the words. "Now innocent people are dead because of your foolishness!"
Tony whimpered, unable to hold it in. Ducking his head at the dominant aura rolling off of Steve. A submissive posture.
Stephen bristled. Wanting to interject, but before he could, Steve spoke up again.
"Good luck getting back to the compound." With that, the alpha turned and stormed off. Snarling under his breath.
Bruce looked between the retreating alpha, and Tony and Stephen. "I uh... have to go. Good luck, Tony." He muttered, awkwardly shuffling off.
Stephen watched the group of five convene, leaving the shifted and bloodied Tony to his own. What kind of team was that? He turned his attention back to the whimpering, and small looking, Tony.
Crouching down, Stephen slowly reached a hand out. Watching the golden amber eyed wolf flinch back momentarily. "Hey, I'm not gonna hurt you." He assured gently, resting his hand on Tony's head only when the wolf looked to him.
Tony nudged his head into the touch, casting his eyes down again. Steve was right, it was his fault.
Stephen ran shaking fingers through the wolf's long fur. He heard a rustling noise, looking up to see the cloak join them. He beckoned the cloak to his shoulders. Looking back to Tony. "Do you want me to take you back?" He offered.
Tony glanced up, tilting his head. Silently asking how he'd manage that.
"A portal." He saw the wolf flinch at that. "I promise I won't let anything hurt you, okay?"
Tony whined quietly, debating for a few moments. He glanced back at his teammates and pack. They were talking about how to approach the police about this attack. Clearly leaving him to his own devices.
Looking back to Stephen, he nodded in confirmation.
"Alright. You're lucky I have a photographic memory, Dr. Stark. I've seem pictures of your compound from the news." Stephen stood up, bringing his sling ring from his pocket. Slipping it on, he opened a portal to just outside the compound.
Upon spotting Tony's uneasy and anxious moving, Stephen leaned down and hefted the wolf into his arms. The cloak aiding him.
Tony yelped in surprise, wiggling about before settling down upon realizing he was safe.
Stephen held the wolf's head to his chest as he crossed through the portal. Stepping foot just outside the main compound building.
As the portal closed behind them, they missed emerald green eyes watching on with yearning and jealousy. Wishing it was her helping the billionaire out...
