Seabird sat by the shoreline watching the waves splash lightly against the sand. She wished that she could go swim around in the water but her mom wouldn't let her. Ever since she hatched her mom and her older brother Toucan had told her that the ocean was not safe. The only reason she thought that was because one night her father went to go hunting for some fish and he never came back.
    "Seabird,"her mother annoying voice yelled. "Dinner!"
    Seabird sighed and started walking toward their cave. All of the sudden Toucan came slithering right into her knocking her down into a tide pool.
    "Hey," She hissed at him "what was that for!"
     "Sorry," he smirked "didn't see ya there."
     She got out of the tide pool and started chasing him.
    "Guys get over here and eat." Their mom snarled
   "Oh right" said Toucan and slithered up to the cave she followed.
   When she got up there her mother was staring at her with a horrified look on her face. For a minute Seabird was confused but then she remembered that she was soaking wet and probably smelt like salt water.
    "Did you... go in ... the ocean?" She shuddered
    "No mom," she said glaring at her brother " Toucan pushed me into a tide pool."
    "Oh well that's a relief." She said and Toucan smirked again.
    "I chopped up some fruit for dinner after you eat you should get some sleep we are going fruit hunting tomorrow morning."
    Seabird sighed she wished she could go real hunting for fish or something. She liked fruit but she had only tried fish once and she loved it.
   After she ate her dinner she went back to her sleeping cave and lied down on her moss bed. After about an hour of tossing and turning she finally got comfy and fell asleep.
