"Morning, sleeping beauty."
Anarkra called into my room, waking me up."It's too early to be up, it's not healthy." I complained." Nonsense, five thirty is the perfect time to get up, it means we can finish what we need to do before dark. Besides, I've been waking up at five thirty for many a century. "Anarkra trailed off laughing at my expense.At least she was in a good mood. I groaned and dragged myself out of bed to start the new day.

Anarkra was waiting in the kitchen for me when I got up. "I hope I'm going to be able to show you this once and once only, as I'm not a fan of cooking."Anarkra informed me.She took me through step by step how to make her breakfast,
making me start again several times whenever I did something in a way she wouldn't.

" What will I eat?"I asked. Anarkra looked up from her food and replied " What ever you make. Next time make your breakfast with mine. "She continued. " Consider that your first Home Economics class. I have things to attend to, in the study I left a book for you to read. Read the first chapter and write notes. Ask me any questions you have when I come in."

I swam into the door Anarka had pointed to and was astounded. It was filled from wall to wall with books, plants, and some things I don't even want to know about. In the centre of the room there was a coral desk with a massive book on top of it entitled " History Of Sea Witches" Clam it, first actual lesson and it's my worst subject. I sighed and began to read.

I learnt that sea witches were an all female, goddess gifted, sisterhood who protected Aquata from Zereste's monstrous children. We all received orcas instead of dolphins as they were the best adapted for our kind of work. I was just about to start the chapter on " The High Council",whatever that was, when Anarkra burst in.

"Finished? Good. " She said leaving no time for me to answer." Time for your first Care of Marine Creatures class." She said before swimming off, leaving a trail or bubbles in her path. I followed her outside to see our orcas waiting for us. "As you and..."Anarkra trailed off before looking into Teylin's eyes. "Teylin will be relying on each other, you're going to need to know how to care for him." How did she know Teylin's name,I wondered. As if she read my mind Anarkra said " As you should know, sea witches have goddess given powers. Mine are advanced telepathic skills and an affinity for sea creatures."

I spent the next hour learning how to care for Teylin from day to day, how much to feed him,clean him and so forth. We were interrupted by a turtle speeding towards us at breakneck speed. "Whoa! Slow down. New turtle messengers..." Anarkra muttered. She took the turtle aside and their eyes went glassy for a moment, as they had a telepathic conversation. Anarkra nodded and the turtle messenger swam off.

"What was that about?"I asked. Ignoring my question, Anarkra simply said"Get ready, we're going to the Sea Witch High Council."
