Chapter 2

3rd POV

A female dragon swam through the sea trying to find food for her and her newly hatching baby, and when she finally caught a mouthful of fish she swam back to her cave to watch over her hatching egg. The egg was white, silver, red, gold, green, and blue. The green and blue mixed together swirling with white and gold outlines and silver covered the top and bottom of the egg. It flowed red hot, not from the fire that it was in, but because of how the dragon on the inside had much fire and would be hot to touch. An underwater sea dragon hot it couldn't happen, not possible. At least that's what the mother thought and then it cracked a little near the bottom, and after a little while the mother tilted her head curious and a little worried the her child hadn't come out yet.

Just as she went forward dropping a couple  fish and letting them sink to the bottom of the cove, the egg split open and something hit her in the face and drove her back a couple feet in the water hitting the cave wall but not breaking it. She looked down and saw two big eyes looking at hers and she softened up when she saw a little guilt.

Don't worry little one you didn't harm me the baby dragon heard a voice in her head and she cooed and picked a couple fish from the mothers waiting mouth not afraid of the three-four foot teeth lining the inside.

Meanwhile on land in Eragon's home he had found the egg tried to sell it and was brining it back along with no money to his hut.

But mama I don't want to go out here a young voice almost fearful said to her mother drifting behind her and then she nudged her in the back

Oh young one you'll love flying it's like playing with the sea horses and watching the schools of fish glide through the water the mother, named Glacea said to her young dragon and nudged her again making her look at the cove floor again. The mother sighed and took off swimming around the pillar in front of her young one and she slid with grace and silence of a thousand years. The young one spread her wings and shot off of the pillar gliding through the air and doing loops and twirls grinning like crazy. The mother sensed something wrong as her young swam, the fish were gone, the crabs were barreled away and the reef was quiet and alone. Then the water pressure changed and one thing popped into her head and she shot towards her young.

Hide she yelled and her young dragon stopped and looked at her in time to see a large form blast through the water and bite Glacea on the neck and the young dragoness shot under their fighting forms into the dark water below and didn't make a sound as she horrifically watched as the bigger black dragon ripped apart her mother and then there was a glint and a masked human and her mother stopped moving and started to sink and the big dragon looked around for a while but didn't see anything else that would matter. It turned tot he surface and swam up with the man on its back holding a blood red sword dripping with the mother's blood.

The young one swam to her mothers sinking body and nudged her head, and she yipped in happiness when she saw her mothers eyes open. It was short lived as the young dragon sensed sadness and pain.

Don't worry little one I am going to a better place, a place where all dragons thrive and live forever the mother sighed longingly someday you may see it, Tempest, live to your name and don't trust humans for they kill everything and everything young and old.

Then she closed her eyes and one last breath made it to the waters of the sea and Tempest wailed and cried for her lost mother. The oceans raged and the tides rose swallowing the shores and sending fishermen into the waters from their boats and sweeping others out to sea. Tempest mourned for hours and then fell asleep on her mothers corpse, and then she noticed that she was glowing.

Tempest was already different than all the other creatures of the ocean with scales that moved and swirled like the sea she was in and they made it so that she didn't just blend into the waters, but she turned into the waters and you wouldn't know she was there until you or she was right on you. Even her mother had a hard time playing hide and seek with her young one. The thought of it brought tears to Tempest's eyes, but the gold and red outlines of Tempests wings and body disappears and reappears when she wants it to, and her eyes and claws were pure silver harder than any known metal same as her scales which was also odd because according to her mother no sea dragon had scales or wings like hers. She didn't have gills like her mother or the wings used mainly for swimming fast even though if she had been flying through the water sooner Tempest would be able to shoot past her mother at Glacia's top speed and still be able to go faster, and same for flying above water.

Tempest was built for speed and agility and stealth and her power, which was the thing that made her glow, was beyond that of a rider. After her mothers death, Tempest had trained going deeper and deeper into the sea to train and while this was happening Eragon was in the forest raising Saphira and learning about dragons from Brom.

Thanks for reading and I'll have another chapter out soon, and since I didn't say this before the reason why I am writing another story is because like the HTTYD-Percy Jackson crossovers... none of them have been finished or updated in a while so I plan on being one of the first to finish this type of book.
