"Knock knock." Luke and Beryl stood in front of Lyn's door.
"Who's there?" The scared girl asked.

"Luke."

"Luke who?" Lyn continued the knock knock knock joke.

"Open the door." Luke said with a sigh.

"Hello Luke." Lyn welcomed him. This effect caused the boy and his sister to shoot a glance at Lyn.

"What?"

"Nothing." Luke said as he walked towards the fridge to get something to eat but found apples.

"What are you? The wicked witch in snow white?!" Luke yelled.

"No. Why did ask such a question?"

"Today apples, tomorrow apples, yesterday apples. Why apples?!"

"What are you saying? I'm learning apple recipes." Lyn answered sheepishly which ticked Luke off more.

"Oh shut up!!" Luke yelled in anger.

"What happened to him?" Lyn asked the red haired beside her.

"Barry accidentally poured water on his money while he was counting it. The idiot put it by the window to dry it. Wind blew and You know the rest." Beryl explained.

Lyn couldn't help but wonder the price of the money if Luke could get angry over it. "How much?"

Beryl answered Tome by raising her first two fingers.

"Two thousand shecs, wow, but how did a kid with little allowance get that much money?" Lyn asked in awe.

"Life savings."

Lyn couldn't help but pity Luke so he gave him hundred shecs.

"Anyway food is ready." Beryl alerted them.

"What? When? How?" Luke asked the girls.

"Don't underestimate female weapon scroll users." Luke watched the girls fill themselves with their 'awesomeness' until squad eight were already in the room. It appears they were cooking with their weapon scroll powers since Luke asked for food.

Cole shot a look at Lyn and found her cleaning a sword curious .

"What are you doing Lyn?" Cole asked the green eyed girl who just sat on the chair cleaning her blade cheerfully.

"Right captain? It's creepy right?" Joan shuddered as she asked Cole.

"Putting that aside. Good morning squad." Everyone got serious on seeing Cole's attitude change.

"Good morning captain." The squad greeted him back.

"As you all know I introduced you to your swordsmanship teacher yesterday, and your lesson starts today, so buckle up because it's not going to be easy." For some unknown reason Cole who was miserably bad at using words was making them enthusiastic and it scared Joan.

'This house gives me the creeps.' Joan whispered to herself.

"I know right." Mia's voice popped up in Joan's head which startled her.

'Kya!!'

"Joan focus." John whispered.

"That's all.

A few minutes later Yuki came in and the lesson started.

"Have you managed to locate Yuki?" The head of the Ina clan asked.

"No, the illusion barrier is no joke." The man answered him.

"Ok keep searching. Order a level 12 search party." The nan gave his orders.

Lyn smiled when she saw Yuki. 'He maybe a teacher but nobody walks into a room expecting to be attacked by a 'harmless' student.'

"Lyn." Rugun warned but it was too late Lyn had already charged at Yuki with and attempted a downward slash but to her disappointment she was parried it was almost as if he was preparing to be attacked. Yuki smirked as their blade clashed against each other, this action annoyed Lyn who began to push Yuki towards the wall.

"Oh. You have skill but..." Yuki pushed Lyn's blade away with ease and suddenly disappeared from sight.

"If this were a real battle your head will be on the floor." Yuki appeared behind Lyn with his left hand above her head and right hand at her neck.

Lyn felt a liquid drip down her neck when she checked it turned out to be blood.

Luke stood up from where he sat to process the scene that played before his eyes.

'Wait, what happened?' Luke questioned himself over and over again.

"Such speed and stealth, your skills haven't dulled a bit Yuki." Cole complimented Yuki.

"You too Cole, you have a very convenient timing for things." Yuki adjusted his sword and gave Cole a hug.

"Dude we met yesterday, don't hug me like that." Cole pushed Yuki away causing the sword master to pout.

"Don't play cute with me here." Cole scolded.

"So these are the people I have to teach, hmm, there's a Nomashi and an Aldorado here, this'll be easy for me." Yuki put his hand on his chin staring at Erza and Peter.

"How do you know?" Erza asked.

"The first thing a scroll user should know how to do is to detect and identify kekai signatures down to particular people." Yuki answered her.

"Squad this is Yuki Ina introduce yourselves." Cole ordered.

"Bartholomew Kirk, Blank scroll, I have no seal yet, Lightening element." Barry introduced himself and shook Yuki's hand which was surprisingly soft.

"Beryl Kirk, weapon scroll, nano weapons control, kekai threads." Beryl also shook Yuki's hand and it left her puzzled, how could someone, a swordsman have soft hands.

"Erza Nomashi, two weapon scrolls, a beast scroll, and a general, wind and water, substitute leader if the squad." Erza shook Yuki's hand too and didn't want to let go until Joan froze her butt.

"Hey!!" Erza yelled and chased Joan round the house.

"John Cater, beast scroll, fire element, if you want to be my friend get me cookies." John shook Yuki's hand too and looked at him.

"Here. There are flavored with kekai." Yuki removed his hand from John's and brought out a jar of cookies from his yukata.

John looked at Yuki with admiration, and in his eye you could see.

"Good we're buddies now." John shook Yuki's hand again.

"Next!" Cole interrupted Yuki and John's talk then Joan with plasters all over her body due to Erza's beating.

"Joan Cater, ice element, beast scroll user, if you want to be my friend get me smoothies." Joan shook Yuki's hand, after she did she stared round the house.

"Here." Yuki brought out your everyday smoothie cup from his yukata and gave it to Joan.

Joan collected the cup and to her surprise it was cold. She looked round the house, shuddering.

'This place really gives me the creeps.' Joan took a sip out of the new smoothie and to her surprise it was exceptionally good.

"Peter Aldorado, general scroll, wind element. Nice to meet you." Peter shook Yuki's hand and shot a sharp gaze at the rest. The others knew what his gaze was

"Are those the ashiri." Yuki asked holding the twin swords in while checking them out.

"What? How?" Peter asked searching the place he kept them.

"Turns out I was wrong, these children don't know anything." Yuki brought out a gray sheath with the Aldorado symbol engraved on it and gave it to Peter.

The Aldorado marveled at all the things the swordsman had under his cloth until the word children hit him.

"Who are you calling a child you soft handed weirdo. Your you're probably only half a year older than me!" Peter yelled.

Peter was placed in a cube of wind which prevented any sound from coming out.

"Lyn, weapon scroll, weapon customisation." Unlike the others Lyn didn't shake Yuki's hand but went to her seat grumpily.

"Your intros are curt, this is truly Cole's squad." Yuki teased.

"Captain, did you know Yuki before now?" Barry asked.

"Yeah, we are both from the Ina clan, although I'm more of a very dilute blood and my flame control is weak." Cole stood in thought for a while before Yuki's voice snapped him out of it.

"As you know, I'm Yuki Ina, I use flame control, I'm a general scroll user, I'm also a senzaikyo..."

The whole squad fell into disarray and everyone was smitten by awe. John chocked on his cookie, Joan spat her smoothie at Lyn's face and Barry chocked his siblings.

Yuki brought out his identification card and showed it to them causing a louder noise.

"Scroll art; Basic elemental technique 10; Restraint." A symmetrical line appeared on their body rendering all all instructions from their brain to their limbs null.

"Good, for today's class we need a training ground." Yuki, brought out his sword from his yukata.

"I know a place." Peter's voice piped in.

"Then will you promise me to be quiet?" Cole asked the squad who were still under restraint.

"We promise. Wait how did you gat out the cube?" Beryl asked Peter.

"Only one basic elemental technique can be used at a time. Anyway let's go."

Peter led the squad to Ellen's place requesting for a training ground.

"Do you have any available?" Peter asked Ellen.

"Well yes but no." Peter got the message but wasn't going to leave any moment.

Yuki stared at Ellen for a while and guessed that the squad got their weapons here before bringing out a jar filled with solidified kekai from his yukata. "Here kid, you're a researcher right?"

Ellen looked at the green jar with solidified kekai and examined it. "Ok you can come in."

"Thank you."

Down in the training grounds Yuki examined the walls while Ellen watched him, after a while she pat him on his shoulder and made him stop.

"Oh please, only a knight can put a scratch on these." Ellen bragged.

Yuki slashed his sword downwards and sheathed his blade.

"Apparently it's a bit weak." A gash appeared in the wall the effect made Ellen gasp.

"Are you a knight?" Ellen asked.

"No, a senzaikyo." Yuki answered while examining his now unsheathed sword.

"Wow! Let me examine your blade." Ellen asked with with an evil smile.

"No it's ok, really." Yuki politely refused but Ellen's persistence made Yuki hand his sword over to her much to her delight.

"Is this ok? I heard the senzaikyo never give anyone their weapon." Ellen asked Yuki who smiled.

"Listen kid, you're the one who forced me into giving you. But this is in exchange for the solidified kekai which I gave you earlier." Yuki struck a deal.

"Someone is a bit tinny, winny broke." Cole teased which caused the brunette to scowl.

"Come on dude." The said brunette Yuki went to a table and picked a Chinese sword called jian.

"Ok let's start."

The squad readied themselves and their weapons while their teachers examined them.

"Yuki choose John, the blond haired in the middle of the black haired guy and the red haired guy." Cole whispered to Yuki. Yuki gave him an I know look before calling out John.

"You come at me." Yuki pointed at John.

"Ok."

John took out an arrow from his quiver and positioned it on his bow and aimed for Yuki.

'Ina's are strong fire users with each flame ability different from the other, flames work best with them so if you want to reveal their powers you use a long range flame attack.' John's pulled the bow back and released the arrow. As soon the arrow left his hands, it got caught up in flames.

'Nikirim eye; Flame waltz.'

'Oh, he want to force me to reveal my flame ability and then plan his next move.' Yuki smiled at John's analytical skills.

"Reflect." An explosion emerged from Yuki's blade

"What a fierce blade." John said with within coughs as he picked himself from the ground and prepared his next attack.

'It's safe to assume that his ability to release explosions. My arrows will get burnt if things go this way.' John brought out his sword a nagimaki.

"Flame control; Fire ball." John synthesized a fire ball at his fist and shot it a Yuki.

"Scroll art; Basic elemental technique 3; Fire fist." Yuki's hand flamed up as he caught the fire ball and tossed it aside leaving a slight opening.

John took note of that and went to exploit the opening. Using flame waltz, John sped over to Yuki's side.

"Wait John." Yuki's sudden demand made John stop in his tracks and John couldn't help but ask why.

"Why?"

"Where is the red head?" Yuki asked John.

"Beryl is there." John pointed at an empty spot.

"Yeah totally, hey Beryl! Hahaha. Get real." Yuki's gesture made the others laugh and made John embarrassed.

John focused really hard before activating his nikirim eye after which he scanned for Beryl.

"She's on the first floor." Yuki sighed at John's answer.

"Peter." Yuki called.

"Yes." Peter answered.

"A mixture of kirang and Kizagi at a percentage of 70 and 30 backed up by diamonds gives what?"

A drop of sweat ran down Peter's face because of Yuki's pop quiz. He knew nothing if what Yuki talked about. "I'm clueless."

"I thought as much. That is the composition of the sharp side of the ashiri." Yuki informed Peter. Turning to Erza Yuki gave her her own pop quiz.

"Who's the current governor?"

"Mr Rex." Erza answered.

"How does his government affect the price and usage of kekai related resources, the financial stability of the Nomashi and the Aldorado alongside the new strings of industries that they plan to build?" Yuki asked again.

"Enlighten me." Was Erza's answer which didn't leave Yuki surprised.

"Go ask your parents."

Turning to Lyn, Yuki was about to ask a question until she spoke.

"Oh don't look at me like that I've been living under a rock for the past five years."

Yuki's reaction was indifferent as he was already expecting that reply from Lyn. "Just as I thought, a walking coffin."

"I'll kill you." Lyn's calm spirit once again angered and everyone knew who that anger was directed at.

"And how do you plan to do that?" Yuki released his kekai to an extent. It was at that point Lyn knew the difference in power between her and the senzaikyo standing right in front of her. It was so strong to the extent that they began choking.

'His kekai, its so gentle and warm but yet it's so strong.' Cole said within himself with a smile before going to intervene and save the kids.

Yuki knew what Cole was about to do so he put away his kekai before Cole spoke.

"This leads us to your first assignment, to be able to sense each other no matter the distance." Cole's voice chipped in.

"Your second is to get at least 90% in your test and exams." Yuki spoke.

"By the way why does the senzaikyo do maths, politics, economics, science and other related courses that doesn't involve fighting." Lyn asked Yuki because it confused her. The senzaikyo is an elite squad renown for their fighting skills so why maths or science.

"Knowledge is a form of strength on its own. You can use the landform, geography, events and so much more of a place to your advantage. Hence the second assignment." Yuki answered her.

"You are to complete the the first assignment this next week." All of them except John groaned and whined as they went home leaving only Yuki, Ellen, Taick and Cole alone.

"Yuki right?" Ellen asked unsure of his name.

"Yes."

"Your sword is quite special so I took 30% of its compositions. Judging from the kekai analysis and examination data you absorb energy upon impact and release it in synchronization with your fire techniques right?" Ellen analysis left Yuki dumbfounded.

"Yeah."

"And you can only release the energy from the sides of the blade." Once again Yuki was dumbfounded.

"Yeah."

"That is not good for the blade because it can only absorb and release a finite amount of energy and it damages the blade each time you use it." This time Yuki found words to say.

"She is a damn computer!!" Yuki yelled.

"I know, anyway, I lined kirang at the center of the blade causing the kekai to naturally flow out of the side of the blade and with your kekai control, you can wrap the explosion round the blade. I also lined the sharp edge with Kizagi so you can channel kekai and make the edge sharper." Ellen explained.

"Ok thanks." Yuki collected his blade and sheathed before leaving the vicinity followed by cole who took Taick home.

"Now who has a way to be able to tell our kekai apart from the others no others no where we are?" Joan spoke over the video call.

"Fear not for I! John the great has come to save you peasants from humiliation." John's face popped up on the screen.

"Keep shut you nikirim eyed noisemaker!" Beryl yelled which did the trick in making John back down.

"But still, John is really lucky. All he needs to do is to strain his eye and he has found us." Peter's voice was heard before his face appeared on the screen.

"That kekai Yuki released crushed me, I knew we were weak but it was painfully clear." Like said very the group call.

"You don't really have to add salt to the wound do you?" Barry asked his brother.

"But captain was just smiling as if the kekai was nothing. It just proves our lack of strength." Erza spoke again.

"Where is Lyn? Maybe the coffin is still recuperating." John asked.

"Who are you calling a coffin? John." John jumped at the sound of Lyn's voice behind him and it was not only the blond haired boy who jumped the others too shared the same reaction as John.

"Oh you came Lyn, that was fast." Joan said with a shaky voice.

"Our homes opposite each other so cool your engines." Lyn took a sit and the discussion continued.

The group sat in silence for minutes until an idea entered Barry's head.

"That's it!" Barry yelled.

"What did you figure out Bartholomew?" Luke asked the black haired sitting beside him.

"Simple. If we all stick to each other and expose our selves to each other's kekai it'll work out." After Barry shared his idea with the others he had a triumphant smirk on his face.

"Why do i get the creeps when any of the boys gets an idea?" Erza asked no one in particular.
