Cole sighed. After spending a while among the knights, he wanted to join the research institute but Rex, being the temporal governor of their state, forced him to babysit a squad which consisted of one of his family member, the children of his terrifying squad mate, sugar loving twins, one Aldorado and a girl who he doesn't even under stand plus another family member and a outstanding student. To make matters worse. He had to babysit them till they join the research institute or police force or become knights, looking at all these things it made him wonder how Lloel and Anita took care of a whole class.

He glanced over the chart Anita gave him and summoned ten rectangular cards which looked like playing cards.

"So Tutor Lloel asked you to master a technique right?" Cole asked the class.

"Yes. What about it Cole?" Ben answered arrogantly but Cole only smiled. He knew Ben and Erza since he was Ben's older brother and Erza's cousin so he knew how to handle them.

"Keep these tags beside your scroll and attack me with your techniques." Cole distributed tags and got into a fighting stance.

The students kept their tags besides their respective scrolls.

"Cole, you will regret this." Ben put his hands in front of him and drew out red kekai from his scroll and turned it to heat and light.

'Hmm, Ben mastered that technique. I wonder what my little bean has in store.'

'You still call her that Cole?' Cole's first scroll spirit asked.

'Can't I call my cousin little bean?'

'Whatever, I just came to tell you that the tags are ready.'

"Now, begin." Cole gave the signal.

Barry ran over to Ben who was in the middle of perfecting his technique.

"Ben, I'll distract captain and create an opening. At that moment, you'll fire." Barry stated his plan and waited for Ben's approval.

"Ok, buy time for me while you're at it." Ben spoke without looking at Barry.

"Basic elemental technique three: lightening step." Barry's speed increased sixfold. Using his speed he zoomed off and appeared behind causing the older man to turn around only to be met with a punch. Unfortunately for Barry, Cole saw through his attack with ease and caught his hand.

'Bartholomew Kirk; he lacks power but has speed. If he learns the teleportation it'll be efficient for him and ’sengan‘'

"Lightening control: shock wave."

Red electricity coursed through Cole's body as he channelled kekai in the form of lightening. Using Barry's hand as a conductor, Cole passed overwhelming current into Barry's body thereby knocking the boy unconscious.

"Scroll art secret technique: Riamul!" Ben fired a red orb of intense heat, light and electricity at Cole while Ash used the opportunity to restrain Cole's movements using strong vines.

'Ben Riamul; a genius who is able to use the Riamul at age thirteen. He is no doubt strong but he is arrogant doesn't listen unless it benefits him. Ashlin Bets a very exceptional student who has been trained in every factor possible. All that's left is for her to gain more kekai.' Cole summoned flames to burn the vines which left Ash surprised at how many elements he had.

"Nice try Ben, but stuff like that wouldn't work on me." Cole caught Ben's Riamul orb with one hand and closed his hand over it causing it to loose its power.

"I'm a Riamul and your brother, and besides that orb doesn't have a lot of kekai in it." Cole explained.

Erza, Beryl, Joan and L sat behind and watched. They didn't do the assignment because they didn't know their powers. After watching for minutes, the squads lost.

"Ok, during the fight did anyone figure out the aim of this battle?" Cole asked the class.

John raised his hand signifying that he wanted to answer the question.

"Go on."

"At the beginning of the test, you gave us a tag to put near our scrolls and while using this…" John pointed to his eye which had changed its form. "I figured that this was to have us use kekai and get data to help determine our powers." John explained which made the rest 'O' in realisation.

'John Cater; not only does he focus on the opponents he looks around and observes giving his surrounding a step by step analysis. That's what the others lack.'

"Captain." Erza called his attention.

"Go on little bean." Cole said to tease Erza.

Peter had a smile that showed he was up to no good on his face as he heard the pet name. He finally found something to get back at Erza with for stealing the second in command position from him.

"Yeah go on little bean." Peter said teasingly but suddenly stopped when Erza shot him a glare that sent shivers down his spine.

'Those two still don't fall in line.' Cole mused with a smile.

"Captain, I'm pretty sure this battle was also for something else, right?" Erza asked because she couldn't help her suspicion. She had known Cole, since she was in diapers, enough to tell that at times like this he doesn't talk in details like usual.

"Ok, I'll just put it plainly. Two weapon scrolls, one beast scroll and a general scroll. Beryl is a weapon scroll user, Joan and John are beast scroll users, Luke, Peter, Ben and Ash are general scroll users, Barry is a blank scroll and Lyn pretty much knows her scroll. Class dismissed." Cole averted the question.

"Wow, he just left like that. Leaving me hanging." Erza muttered to her self.

Cole stared at the tags he used to gather information from his squad. After Leon told him the tags were ready he collected them without having any of the students know.

"Beryl Kirk; she is as observant as John but gets riled up easily thus lacking a step by step observation of situations. Aldorado Peter; good enough. Erza Nomashi good enough but if those two are together, it's bad. Joan Cater; she is smart and analyses her opponents before attack. Luke Kirk; calm and easygoing and he doesn't rush stuff." Cole carried the tag he gave Lyn.

After checking he realised something.

"This girl… Rugun!"

Later that evening the doorbell rung at Lyn's house.

"Coming!" Lyn opened the door to find peter and Erza in front arguing after some minutes she spoke gaining their attention.

"Come one, what do you want?" Lyn asked clearly frustrated.

"Oh, here is the official timetable and everything we need so don't be late tomorrow." Peter said handing Lyn a book.

"Thanks." Lyn collected the book and dropped it on a table and went to take some apples.

"Want some?"

"No, we'll be late." Peter declined.

"And who said you could take actions on your own?" Erza asked.

"Me, now let's go." Peter said dragging Erza by her hand going down the stairs.

"Let go you idiot..." Erza complained and complained but Peter didn't hear it was the she noticed that he had put on ear plugs on.

"Damn you…" Erza continued complaining and yelling profanities as Peter dragged her down the street.

"Good friends indeed." Lyn said with a laugh as she chewed on her apple and went inside.

"Peter what ya doing?" Taick asked his brother who has been sitting in front of the computer giggling and laughing.

"Finally it's all done!" Peter yelled and laughed evilly and gave the printed image to Taick who burst out laughing.
