After two months

Barry stood in front of the academy and smiled as the memories of his school life flashed backed in his mind.

"Feeling nostalgic hun? Barry." Barry turned back and saw Luke his beloved brother.

"You're finally back from your training." Barry and Luke embraced each other in a hug until they were interrupted.

"Yo, Bartholomew, Luke."

"Please who are you?" Barry asked the girl in front of them.

"Barry, that is Lyn." Luke corrected.

"Woah, Lyn you've grown." Beryl head popped up in the middle of the trio.

"Kyaa!" Barry's hand sizzled with electricity and was about to hit Beryl until somebody blocked.

"Gain a little control over your reflexes will you? Lightening hurts you know." The boy complained.

"Sorry, I'm Bartholomew Kirk" Barry introduced himself.

"I'm Sean Hart. Nice to meet you."

"Yeah let's go in."

Luke marveled at the large number of people in the academy while signing his attendance sheet.

"Squad 8 go to class 2B, Sean Hart go to the same class." The receptionist shot them a smile and gave them good luck wishes.

In class 2B the five were the last to get there.

"Finally you're her... Sean?" Yuki said in confusion.

"Its been long Yuki." Sean greeted.

"Yeah, but why are you taking the JSU exams?" Yuki asked the senzaikyo in front of him.

"To get an undercover licence. Using the senzaikyo's licence is stressful." Sean answered.

"Wait wait wait! You mean to say Sean here, a senzaikyo is taking part of this exam? Is that what you're saying?" Luke asked with a rather calm tone contrary to his shout earlier.

"Yes." On hearing that Luke opened the window to jump but was stopped by the class.

"Don't stop me! I'll jump! I'm going home!!" Luke yelled as he struggled against the class.

"Push him out, two more are coming. You will be of no need for a weak willed person." After  Sean said that he took a sip from a smoothie he found on a table.

Luke turned back in anger but didn't do any thing when he saw the smoothie in Sean's hand.

"Drop that drink!" Joan said with a sinister tone.

"Wow, I've finished it already." Sean said.

'Poor guy, now he will regret what he has said.' Luke smiled within himself as he awaited what will happen to Sean.

"Calm down, the one named Joan. And shut up Sean." Ethel walked into the room.

"Finally a reasonable person." John said as he heaved a sigh of relief.

"Ethel." Yuki's expression was not too happy but he was happy she was safe.

"10 more minutes." The address system rang out interrupting the mood.

"We have no time let's analyse our new skill set to determine our strategy." Yuki suggested.

At the sound of skill set Barry frowned a bit, Yuki did not fail to notice that so he took the initiative to ask.

"What's wrong Barry." Yuki asked.

"I can't use my seal. It's like it's there but when I try to grasp it. It disappears." Yuki understood at the moment so he decided that nothing should be said about that.

Ten minutes after the address system rang again and the students started filling out of the classrooms.

As they were about to leave Joan and Barry stretched out their hands. A powerful kekai emanated from their hands.

"Such fearsome kekai." Ethel said with a smile.

A sword darker than the blackest shadow appeared in Barry's hand and a rod whiter than the purest white appeared in Joan's hand.

"A sword of the darkest shadows and a rod of the purest white. I look forward to meeting you." Sean said before moving out to the arena which is the training grounds which the state head turned into a large arena.

Inside the arena a lot of people were inside. They were so mush that Barry began to wonder how they fit into the building comfortably until it hit him.

'The arena is as large as two acres, damn this school is big but in the school's informative chart it said the school is one acre so that means this is an illusion. It's worth a shot."

Barry let his kekai flare causing shadows to wrap him and making him temporarily lose all five of his senses and regaining them thus breaking the illusion.

"Took you long enough." Sean called out to Barry.

"So it was an illusion. Sean! You didn't fall for it?" Barry asked still confused cut to loosing all his senses.

"I saw through the enchanted square although it was not easy, these proctors do not know how to hold back." Sean complained.

"That's what to expect from the pillars." Yuki affirmed.

"The knight." Tyler said.

"Exactly." At the sound of the voice the people who broke out of the illusion turned their attention to the man on the podium.

Welcome all those who broke through the illusion. I am the proctor of the JSU exam's first phase.
