Hey. Bet this wasn't the face you were expecting to start this story on!

My name is- err... I guess WAS Simone. Just your average otaku with no reason to live except for a certain blue quilled individual. That's right! I'm a Sonic fan!... God, I sound like a dork. Well anyway, let's get onto how I became Dr. Robotnik!

It was my monthly trip to leave the house and get groceries, when out of nowhere I got hit by a flipping truck! ... Uh, yeah. Not a very CREATIVE way to get reincarnated- I mean, I technically only died five days later in the hospital because a nurse accidently unplugged my life support, but eh, what am I gonna do about it, right?

Well anyway, after I died SOMETHING must've gotten mixed around because I was in Sonic's world! But... Not physically. I was a ghost, forced to observe as the story unfolded before my eyes. Kinda like normal, I guess.

From the beginning of Sonics story to the present, I watched. And wanna know what was weird? I didn't know WHAT sonic world we were in! There was aspects from Archie, The Games, The Movies, Even weirder stuff like X, Underground and Fleetway! It was fun to watch since it was unlike anything I've ever seen before! Watching Sally interact with Sage felt like a fever dream up until I saw it for myself! When it came to what I wanted to do. I can't explain how I knew this, but I had this feeling I could possess stuff. I first felt it when I came across an unfortunate Flicky who hadn't escaped an exploding eggman base in time. Almost like a force compelling me to interact with it. But I wasn't gonna trap myself in the body of a Flicky of all things, so I decided to wait until someone cooler died.

Time past, and I had a few chances, but as I watched I couldn't bring myself to. To rob these characters of their lives. I didn't want that. So, I got an idea. Find someone worth robbing. A few came to mind. Infinite. Zavok. A discarded Metal/Mecha Sonic body. But no. I knew what I wanted. And I knew I could do a whole lot of good as him. Dr. Ivo "The Eggman" Robotnik. The big bad of the sonic franchise. And soon to be the savior of it!

... Well... When he dies he will be...IF he dies.

He did have an army of machines on his side along with several unwilling subordinates to back him up. But everyone dies eventually. It was a big day. Sonic, His friends, and all of the freedom fighters were doing a big raid on an eggman base. Badniks were blown to pieces, outposts and walls were rubble, it was glorious.

To the freedom fighters, of course.

It sucked for Eggman.

Anyway, barreling through the enemy forces and up the central tower came who else but the blue blur himself, Sonic the Hedgehog.

He smashed through the countless robots and mechanical doors, boosting up to the top of the tower until he burst through the top, landing on the roof. And there he was, standing with his back turned to his opponent before dramatically spinning to face him.

Eggman: You just can't seem to stop poking your nose where it doesn't belong, can you?

Sonic: Sorry to disappoint egghead, but I don't take all the world domination too kindly!

He says, bracing himself for whatever the doctor would be planning.

Eggman: Well, while I have you here, I hope you don't mind if I test out her latest upgrades on you!

Sonic's eyes widen as he suddenly jumps back, a machine crashing down into the ground in front of him.

Sonic: Sal-

He's suddenly kicked in the gut and launched back by his roboticized friend. The two started fighting while the Egg shaped man talks.

Eggman: You pathetic rodents! Can't see the beauty of creation! The beauty of innovation! If you still refuse to accept the wonderful future I want to bestow upon you, then you'll have to be crushed beneath it!

Sonic and Mecha Sally continue to throw down, Sally using a few guns she had to attempt stopping the blue devil, to no avail.

Simone: WOOOOHHHH!!! C'MON SONIC!!! SET HER FREEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The invisible girl shouts in excitement. Since the Archine comics ended before Sally had been saved, so she was hyped to see what would actually happen here. Eggman pulls out a remote detonator.

Eggman: Want to see my favorite upgrade?~

Sonic looks over and recognizes the device. Panic flooded his body and in a moment of desperation, sprang off of Mecha Sally and dove for the device, grabbing it. The two struggle for the detonator for a moment before Mecha Sally flew in, grabbing sonic. Sonic was lucky enough to have the device. The momentum was enough to send Eggman stumbling a little, causing him to trip over a railing and start falling off the side of the tower.

Eggman: Wha! WHAAAAA!!!! SOMEONE CATCH ME!!!!!!

Swarms of flying badniks Sora to help but are quickly taken out by some of the many freedom fighters present. A swarm of bee-bots get caught in a large electric blast, another in a burst of flames. Metal Sonic tries to fly over only for a black and red blur to tackle him away.

Time had stopped for Eggman. Was this it? The end? No. He had rebuilt his body before and he could do it again. But would they be able to get his remains out in time before-

*BANG*

The man smashed down onto a chunk of metal. Meanwhile, Simone was watching Sonic slowly struggle to beat Mecha Sally in a fight, screaming encouraging words into the void. That is, until a feeling washed over her. It was the pull of an empty vessel. She waisted no time, flying towards the feeling she had been waiting for so long to feel again. And to her delight, she saw the source of the pull was Eggman. Simone drifted down as fast as she could, the prospect of finally having a body again making her mind race with excitement. 

...

And then everything went black.
