Hey-ho, here's my entry to the 2026 edition of the Open Novella Contest. My prompt is the following one:-

You discover that the dragon everyone fears is in danger, and you are the only one who can save it from the knight sworn to slay it.

This will be based in the same fantasy universe as my other stories "The Blade" and "Manticore Rampant", however it will feature an entirely new cast and setting, and no knowledge of the aforementioned stories is required. But hey, if you like this one, feel free to go check 'em out.
