Chapter 38
*Ashely P.O.V.*
I woke up to my annoying alarm blaring. I groaned and shut it off before finally getting up and getting ready for the day ahead. Sky had told me their plan yesterday to go and capture (Y/N) and Noah so they can kill them. I don't want to hurt anyone, I don't blame (Y/N) for the way she acts. They gave up on her, it's their own fault she doesn't trust them anymore. To bad I can't share my opinion, I'd be considered a traitor and kicked out or maybe even put in jail.
I walked out of my room and grabbed some breakfast. Once I had finished I headed up to (Y/N)'s room just like they had planned for me to. Once I was in front of the door I knocked twice waiting for some kind of response. Nothing. I tried again "(Y/N)?" I asked. Still no response. I turned the handle, surprisingly it was unlocked. I opened the door slightly and looked around but (Y/N) wasn't in here.
I went to the curtains and pulled them back so I could see. I turned around and was about to look else where in the castle when I noticed a note. I quickly scanned the note and I felt a slight grin come to my face. They were safe. I quickly wiped the grin off my face and headed downstairs to show them the note. They wouldn't be happy about this. I ran downstairs pretending I was worried and entered the dining room. Once I got in all eyes were on me, I pretended to be short on breath before forcing myself to stutter out the words "T-They left".
"WHAT?!?" They all yelled. I handed Sky the note and he quickly read it aloud. They all had worried expressions on now though theirs were real while mine was fake.
"This isn't good" Sky muttered.
*(Y/N) P.O.V.*
We had already traveled quite a bit. We had decided to follow the paths that linked the kingdoms, but a few feet into the woods that surrounded the paths. Eventually we sat down to eat. Noah pulled a can of beans out from his bag and quickly opened it. Though I hadn't thought about it Noah had brought both eating utensils and gold. He handed me a spoon and we quickly finished the can of beans.
"Hey Noah how did you get the gold anyway" I asked curiously.
"Um... I kinda... stole it.." he trailed off.
I laughed "They deserved it anyway, those traitors.. Noah before we go into a town of any sort shouldn't we buy you some glasses, you know, to hide your eyes?" I asked.
"Yeah that's probably a good idea, we're really close to one of the kingdoms could you go in and get some sunglasses for me?" He asked handing me two nuggets of gold.
"Yeah sure" I said about to get up when he stopped me.
"You're going to need to find someone who turns gold into currency as well. They'll probably ask where you got it from, just say your parents are miners and found it in the mines" Noah said. I nodded before placing the gold nuggets into my back pack and following the path a bit further to a Kingdom. The guards let me past the gate and I quickly started looking through the streets for some way to turn this gold into currency. After a while of searching the crowded streets I found one and headed inside the shop.
"Hello?" I asked. An old man came out from a room behind the counter.
"For the last time I don't give out money for free" He said angrily.
"I have gold" I said pulling the gold nuggets out from my backpack. He eyed me suspiciously "And where did you get that young lady?" he asked.
"My parents were mining and found it in an unexplored part of the cave" I answered. He seemed to buy it
"Alright" he said and took the gold nuggets off the counter and weighed them on a scale. Then he grabbed the correct amount of currency before saying "Nice doing business with you" and taking the gold into the room he had just been in. Once that was done I grabbed the fist sized sack of silver coins. I then headed out onto the streets again this time looking for someone who sells sunglasses. It took longer than before but eventually I found a store. I walked inside seeing multiple other people looking and trying on sunglasses. I grabbed a nice looking pair that looked like it would fit Noah before heading to the counter where a lady was waiting. I handed her the sunglasses and she looked at the tag.
"That'll be twenty-five coins" she said. I dug twenty-five of the silver coins out of my bag before handing them to her. She quickly put the coins into a cash register and handed the sunglasses back to me. "Thank you and have a nice day" She said.
"You too" I responded before heading out. Now I just need to get back to Noah. I was nearing the gates when I saw a carriage lead by horses heading down the street. Everyone got out of the way and bowed I did the same in hopes of not being noticed. Unfortunately the carriage stopped near me and I heard someone get out. I looked up slightly to see Taylor, I didn't realize this was his kingdom. He came towards me and that's when I realize he recognized me.
"(Y/N)? What are you doing out here?" he asked.
"Umm.." I said trying to think of an excuse but none came to mind. "Come on lets get you back home" he said and motioned for me to get into the carriage. Seeing as all the guards were eyeing me I did as I was told. Once we had both gotten in the carriage started moving again. It was Taylor, one of his guards and me. The guard sat between Taylor and I.
"So (Y/N) I've been wondering... What did you do that was so bad that Team Crafted wants you dead?" He asked.
"Look please don't take me back there" I pleaded "We had a deal, we did our part they didn't do ours so we left" I explained.
"We?" he asked.
"I was with a friend" I said.
"Oh a friend, does that friend happen to be the son of Herobrine" he asked once again. I tensed up
"You better have a good reason why I shouldn't take you back there" Taylor said. I sighed and began to explain what happened. After I had finished explaining Taylor didn't even look at me "Well I'm sorry but I'm going to need to take you back anyway" he said. "I can't risk this alliance because of you" the guard quickly restrained my hands with handcuffs, fear shot through me like knife but quickly disappeared when I realized something. They didn't prevent me from using magic, they must not have known that I even knew how to use magic. Still I didn't want to hurt anyone so I gave them a warning
"You have 10 seconds to let me leave or you'll regret you were even born" I said calmly" The guard stifled a laugh
"Even as good at PvP you are according to Team Crafted I've had many more years of practice than you have and even then your hands are in handcuffs... So no" he responded.
"Fine have it your way" I said with a smirk." I used a spell to disintegrate the carriage and the handcuffs. They all fell on their stomachs or backs while I landed on my feet. Taylor quickly got up and drew his sword "So you use magic huh, still you won't be able to beat me at PvP" he said without any fear in his voice.
"This is your last chance to back out" I warned him. He sprinted towards me Sword in hand and I summoned my own sword blocking his with mine. It was on.
