"So" Sarah came to stand in front of me with a big smile while I was cleaning a table.

I was really upset these days because Alexander wasn't talking to me.

"Want to have a girl's night? My roommate is visiting her parents"

I paused and thought about it. I guess I needed some time with my best friend and it's been a while since we last had a sleepover.

"Sure-"

"I knew it! Great, see you tomorrow after your shift" she quickly hugged me and walked out.

After my shift? So I had to walk there ugh.

But time was being a pain. Twenty minutes felt like two hours and the café wasn't that busy today. My phone also died and I had nothing to do.

After my shift was over though I started my way over to Sarah's only to realize I didn't exactly know where I was going, I mean I did but not really. I had been there before but I didn't remember much and my phone was dead so I had to
find my way around myself.

But luck wasn't really on my side today. Well, just like any day.

I could feel someone watching me. I was anxious anyway because I was walking alone and it was really dark and isolated where I was, but I was sure I could hear someone walking behind me for about 10 minutes now.

So I did the smartest thing I could possibly do.

I stopped walking.

And they stopped too.

And I took off running.

And they followed.

I turned right only to find railings blocking the way.

Great, I'm dead. Finally

I made an attempt to climb up the railings when I saw him running up to me so I quickly jumped down finding myself in a parking lot.

Thank God uncle Rob taught me some things.

I ran straight ahead hearing him running after me. I was getting tired of this, my legs couldn't take me any further but I pushed through.

Only to stumble on a rock and fall on my face after five minutes.

I saw his feet landing on each side of me trapping me and then saw him kneel down. I turned around and tried to memorize his face but it was so dark that I could barely see his features.

"Well you sure run fast" he chuckled. This guy had a robot voice it was scaring me the whole scene was scaring me, I was about to be kidnapped. Or raped. Or killed. I had to think quick and do something but mostly I had to keep my calm.

"What do you want?" I asked as calm as I could, I could barely keep my voice from shaking not to mention all this running had me gasping for air.

"For starters I want you to follow me"

"Yeah right I will" I laughed. "You're funny for a robot"

"If you don't follow me there will be consequences. Why deny when you'll be coming with me anyway?"

I had to do something and quick.

"Dude can you get away from me your breath is like toxic, it stinks"

"Wha-ow!"

"Bet you won't be able to have children after that" I said and this time kicked his face. I didn't like violence but I had to escape.

When I was sure he would be on the ground for long I ran and ran till I found a telephone booth and called Sarah.

"Where are you why is your phone turned off!" she yelled at me.

Oops

"Sorry I'm having some trouble finding your apartment and my phone died" I apologized quickly.

After she gave me directions I made my way to her house making sure no one was following me.

Maybe Alex was right after all.

"Ari I was so worried" she said once she saw me and hugged me.

"Don't worry I'm safe" I laughed lightly. Of course I wasn't going to tell her about the weird robot guy, I didn't want anyone else worrying about me.

Maybe I should tell the police though.

"Hand me your charger" I asked and the moment my phone came back to life I saw hundreds of messages and calls.

6 messages and 7 missed calls from Sarah and 27 messages and 93 missed calls from Alex.

Dude was probably going crazy right now.

And just when I was about to call him back he called me.

"Aria!" he yelled and sighed in relief I heard him gasping for air.

"Alex why are you breathing so hard what's wrong?"

"What's wrong? I have been calling and texting for hours now! I even went out searching for you" he whispered the last part. I could hear his voice cracking a little but I thought it may be because he's breathing so hard.

"I'm sorry my phone died and I was trying to find Sarah's apartment and I got lost" I said softly.

"Why didn't you tell me you were going to Sarah's?" he raised his voice a bit. "I was going crazy I didn't know what to do I felt useless" I could hear the thick emotion laced in his voice it made me disappointed in myself for not telling him.

"Alex you don't need to search for me every time I'm not home. I've told you again you're not my dad"

"But I'm worried about you everytime you're away from me" he whispered.

"I'm perfectly capable of protecting myself" I said sternly recalling tonight's events.

"Aria" he whispered lowly once again. "I need you right now. Come home to me" he said sounding more demanding this time.

"I promised Sarah a girl's night. You'll see me tomorrow"

"But I want you right now" Ι blushed. How can he say things like that so shamelessly? "I can almost hear you blushing" he chuckled. "I miss you"

I was so red I had caught Sarah's attention as she gave me a smirk.

"Tell him to come pick you up we'll have a girl's night another time" She winked smiling.

I gave her an 'are you sure' look and she nodded and gestured for me to tell him.

"Okay. Can you please come pick me up?" I asked softly.

"Yes of course just tell me the address and I'll be there in a flash"

The moment we stepped into our apartment he slammed the door and smashed his body on mine. At first I just stood there awkwardly letting him hug me but after I got comfortable I got on my tip toes and wrapped my arms around his broad shoulders.

"How can you just calm me down so easily" he muttered. "I missed you Aria. I'm sorry for avoiding you like that"

"It's okay I've done it too remember? " I wasn't sure he could make out what I was saying since he had my face burried into his chest and it was muffled.

"I'm just glad you're safe"

Suddenly I felt guild washing over me. Should I tell him about what happened?

I didn't know if that would be a good idea since he would go crazy and maybe tie me to a chair and never let me leave the house again.

"I know we haven't known each other for a long time and it doesn't make sense that I care so much about you but I can't explain it and I can't hold it back" he suddenly said still holding me tight. "So I'm sorry if I overreact sometimes but I just can't help it"

I don't know if it was his cologne or his warm comfortable embrace that was relaxing me so much but my eyelids felt heavy and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I hummed and  fully leaned on him and closed my eyes as I felt my grip on him loosen.

"Somebody's sleepy" he chuckled and cupped my face to look at me but he suddenly stopped laughing. I felt hjm touch my forehead but I couldn't open my eyes they felt too heavy. "Aria you're bleeding" I heard but I was already half asleep. "Aria don't fall asleep wake up!" he shook my body.

"Alex I'm sleepy"

"No no no don't sleep now" he yelled shaking me.

"I'm sorry" I muttered faintly. The last thing I managed to see was his dark worried blue eyes looking begging me to not fall asleep. Then everything went black.
