Hey guys! Here is that one shot book I promised!

Thomas was having an average day. He was a little more anxious than normal so he decided to walk to 7/11 to clear his mind. After the 10 minute walk, he walked around inside, deciding to buy a slushie. After buying his favorite flavor, Blue Raspberry, (I don't know if that is his favorite. That's mine though so deal with it. Or tell me what it is so I can fix it.) he began the walk home, slushie in hand. By the time he got home his slushie was almost gone. He took a sip of it and suddenly had a brain freeze.

Inside The Mindscape

The Sides had been watching a movie together. It was their first movie night since before Virgil was accepted into the group. (That's why Thomas was so anxious. Virgil was nervous and was accidently affecting him.) Suddenly they froze. Ice started freezing over the controls. None of them could move. They couldn't affect Thomas in any way except Virgil, this being the first time he was near anyone when Thomas had a brain freeze, managed to send a bit of fear into Thomas by accident.

Thomas

Thomas almost dropped his slushie when he went to grab his head. Luckily he was inside now and he set it down. He sat on the couch when he felt... fear? It was just for a second and then it was gone but it was definitely there.

He hesitantly summoned his Sides. They appeared, frozen on his couch. They had a thin bit of ice covering them. Virgil however had the most ice on him. As the brain freeze disappeared so did the ice covering the Sides. They slowly regained feeling. The Sides looked around and saw Virgil still covered in a layer of ice. He looked terrified but it seemed as if he was trying to hide it.

They quickly jumped into action. Patton grabbed blankets for when the ice melted, Roman turned up the heat, Logan made hot chocolate, and Thomas went upstairs and grabbed a hair dryer.

Thomas ran down stairs, plugged in the hair dryer, and started warming Virgil up. When the ice melted, Patton covered him in blankets, Logan gave him the hot chocolate, and Thomas kept blowing the hair dryer at him. Virgil was shivering harshly. The other Sides and Thomas sat on the couch next him and warmed him up.

"Th-thank you for h-helping me." Virgil's teeth were chattering, making him hard to understand.

"No problem Kiddo! Does this happen every time?" Logan, Roman, and Thomas were nodding along with Patton.

"Y-yeah... n-no one has ever b-been there b-before-" Virgil shivered violently. "I-I've been frozen for like... t-ten m-minutes before. No has one noticed before." Their faces turned from concern to horror (they were still concerned obviously). "But it's okay! I'm fine!"

"It is not okay! You could have gotten hyperthermia! Why do you even get affected more than we do?" This was Logan. His voice was full of emotion, which was rare.

"I... I think it's because Thomas doesn't feel anxious after a brain freeze. He feels calmer than before, so I am frozen longer so I can't stop it."

Roman spoke up next "That... That would make sense. It doesn't make it okay though."

"I'm going to be more careful about getting a brain freeze from now on. I don't want to hurt you guys!" Thomas announced.

"Thanks Thomas." Virgil was the first to respond.

"Thanks you Kiddo!" Patton was glad of his children.

"Many thanks!" Roman was back to his dramatic self.

"Thank you." Logan seemed emotionless again but he was truly grateful.

"You're welcome guys." Thomas gathered all his sides into a group hug and all was well.
