Gina and I walked to the tower to see Tyler hugging some girl in front of the tower. I shook my head and climbed up to the deck. My eyes landed on the sun reflecting on the ocean. "You guys want to play some music?" Lizzie asked, trying to relieve the tension. I slowly nodded as she turned on the radio.
Just a little bit of your heart by Ariana Grande started playing. Tears flooded my eyes again. "Sorry! Sorry!" Lizzie exclaims as her and Eric try and turn the channel. I could feel Tyler's gaze on me. I wiped my tears away and looked over at Lizzie. "It's okay. You didn't mean to." I softly said before walking into the tower. "What's her problem?" I heard the girl ask. I rolled my eyes as I stepped back out.
"My problem is that my pod is distracted by you." I said before closing the tower door behind me. I sat down on the stool and looked out over the sea. Tears brimmed my eyes once again. I didn't even fight it this time, I just let them flow. "God, why does that happen to me." I whispered to my self.

I plugged my earbuds in during lunch and listened to sad music. Gina let me lay my head on her shoulder as we sat at the table. I closed my eyes in attempt to stop the tears. "I'm going to heat up my pizza." I softly said before standing up with my Red Baron small pizza and walking into HQ. I put my pizza into the microwave before choosing another song.
'Someone you loved' by Lewis Capaldi started playing. "Hey." I heard. I looked up to see Logan and Dylan. "Hey." I softly said as I pulled my earbuds out of my ears. "We saw you were upset, we wanted to check up on you." Dylan softly said. "Tyler and I broke up two weeks ago and he's already talking with another girl." I said. "Awe, I'm sorry." They both said before wrapping me into a hug.
"Ahem." I heard behind us. We broke apart and looked behind us. Tyler was standing there. "I came to get a drink, and you're in the way." He spoke. I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the way. He moved past me and grabbed a water from the fridge before walking away. "Little brat." I said under my breath as I took my pizza out of the microwave.

"This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for Callie taking forever to eat her pizza." Tyler rolled his eyes. "Can you shut up? She's trying her best." Gina defends me. I politely smiled at Gina before pulling the kelp towards the bins. "Can you just go pull those bins to HQ." I spat. He rolled his eyes and pulled the bins to HQ with Eric.
"I'm so sick of his attitude." Lizzie says as she put kelp in the bins. "Trust me, me too." I said. "It's like he became a total jerk when you guys broke up." Gina rolls her eyes as we close the bin.
"He really did, and I don't know why." I said. We finished, so we went to tower three. "Hey." We greeted as we walked in. Dylan smiles at us as she gets up from her chair. She wraps us in a big hug.

That night after we finished work, I crawled out my window and sat on the roof that overlooked my neighborhood. My mind was all over the place. Would my planned future come true, or would everything crash and burn?
A tap on my window brought me back to reality. I looked over to see Reed. He crawled out my window and sat down next to me. "Hey, loser." He joked. I don't even crack a smile anymore.
"Hey." I softly said as I brought my knees to my chest. He sat down beside me and hugged me tightly. Surprisingly, I didn't break into tears. My face stayed straight as I stared ahead of us. "He already moved on, Reed. How can a year of a relationship go down the drain that fast?" I softly asked. "I know, buttercup-."
"Please don't call me buttercup, it's what he called me and now every time I hear it I want to scream." I said. Reed nodded and hugged me closer. I heard footsteps approach my room, but I didn't bare to turn around. Ryland appeared next to me.
"Is the whole family going to come out here or something?" I groaned. "No, but we can leave if you want." Ryland softly said. "No, please don't. I need you guys more than ever right now." I said as I glanced over at Tyler's house. The house lights were on.
"Hey, stop looking over there." Ryland said as he gently pushed my head into the other direction. My head dropped down to my knees. "It's to the point where I can't cry anymore. I've cried so much that it's just not coming out." I sighed. "It's probably because you're dehydrated." Ryland says. He opens a bag, that I didn't even know he had, and handed me a water bottle. "Thanks." I relaxed as I grabbed the water bottle and opened it before lifting it to my small mouth.
I swallowed multiple gulps before closing the water bottle. When I looked at it, most of it was gone. "Literally we were talking about our future together, and the next we broke up, all because of his jealousy." I sighed. "Wait, future?" Reed asked. "Yeah, his mom was asking about if we, ya know, and wanted to make sure we were safe about it. She was worried we were moving too fast, even though we did it near our one year anniversary. We got onto the topic of the future, and this is the outcome." I sighed.
The thought alone made me wish I didn't talk to Chris that night.
"I still can't wrap my head around my baby sister lost her v-." Reed started, but Ryland punched his arm. Usually that would make me laugh, but I kept a straight face as my brother winced.
"I miss him." I confessed. Reed pulled his arms away from me and massaged his arm. "I know, Callie. But I promise you everything is going to be alright."
"Why does everyone say that? I don't think it will be alright for a while! I'm in love with him, and he completely hates me!" I snapped.
