The two of us sat down by the pool on the lawn chairs that look over the water. "So, why do you want to talk?" I asked as I fiddled with my fingers. "I wanted to apologize for how I've treated you all these years, I treated you like trash your whole life, and I feel terrible about it. Hopefully we can be friends in the future, but if you don't want to that's perfectly fine." Chris explains. My jaw drops in shock. My head comes up to look him in the eyes.

"I guess it's okay, I'm sure we can be friends. It's just that you made me uncomfortable a lot." I softly said. "I'm really sorry about that, I started going to therapy and it's really helping. I don't want to make you uncomfortable ever again." Chris says as he gently grabs my hand. It was nothing like before, this was way gentler than before.

I slowly nod as I hear the door slide open. My mom pops her head out. "Hey, Tyler dropped off your jacket and ran off, I think he's upset. Do you want to talk to him?" She asks. I take my hand away from Chris's grip and stand up. "It's past my curfew, are you sure?" I asked. She nodded with a half smile on her face. I nodded and ran out of the back yard.

I ran down the street to his house and ran in. "Is Tyler here?" I asked. Sasha, Diane, and Roger looked up from the dinner table. They were playing a board game. "He just stormed into his room, what happened?" Roger said. "I don't know." I said before walking into his room. "What's wrong?" I asked as I saw him at his desk. "What's the problem? You just left my house after a deep conversation about our future and suddenly you're holding hands with Chris! That guy you said you hated!" Tyler shouts.

"He apologized to me! He's getting the help he needs!" I shouted right back. "So? That doesn't mean he changed completely!" Tyler spat. "He never wants to make me uncomfortable again? Do you really think the old Chris would say that?" I shouted right back. Tyler stood up and stepped near me. He towered over me and stared down. I could feel his body warmth because of how close we were. I wanted to hug him, but I'm staying strong.

"He's been trying to get with you forever! What if he's just pretending to get in your pants?" Tyler lowly says as he stares me down. "He May be weird, but he is not like that." I spat as I looked dead in his eyes. Tyler glared at me before backing away. "Fine! If you think he's so perfect why don't you run off with him! You obviously like him!" Tyler shouts. "I don't like him! He was apologizing and I would feel bad if I pulled away!" I stomped my foot. "You have a boyfriend, Callie! He shouldn't even be trying to get with you!" Tyler raises his voice again. "He's just trying to be friends! Chris specifically said he wants to be friends!" I shouted right back.

"You know what, if you can't trust me we should be together." I said, cutting him off and walking towards the door. "You walk out that door, we're over." Tyler warns. "Watch me." I said before walking out. I walked right past the dining area and out the door without crying somehow.

After returning home, I stormed upstairs and slammed the door. "Ugh! I can't believe him!" I shouted as I pulled Tyler's hoodie off my shoulders. I didn't bother to rip the photos of the wall, all I felt like doing was crying in bed while watching stupid TikToks.

I grabbed my phone and texted Gina and Lizzie to come over since I figured Eric was going to be at Tyler's.

The girls arrived not long after. I ran down the stairs and grabbed them before bringing them to my room.

"What's going on?" Lizzie asked as I shut the door behind them. "Tyler and I broke up." I groaned as I plopped down on my bed. Gina and Lizzie laid down beside me. "I'm sorry, Callie. Do you want to talk about it?" Gina asks. I softly nodded as I sat up.

I explained everything that went down between the two of us to them. "Wow, I'm sorry Callie." Gina says before hugging me. Lizzie agreed and hugged me. I finally broke down in their arms. "I thought I would be okay, but I don't think I will. We talked about being together in the future just today and now we broke up." I sobbed in their arms. "Everything will work out, I promise." Lizzie promises.

It's been two weeks since Tyler and I broke up, and I can't get it off my mind. He passed me on the bus, but I didn't look up. Everyone started talking, but I didn't talk the whole ride.

As we pulled up to the beach, I heard Tyler say something.

"I met this girl a couple nights ago..." He started. I looked at him with tears in my eyes and ran off the bus. I ran into headquarters and into the bathroom before locking the door behind me. I dropped my bag and slid down the door as I cried. He's already moved on, and here I am, still stuck on it.

Someone knocked on the door. "I don't want to talk." I said. "Callie, it's me." Gina says through the door. I reach up and unlock the door. She opens it and walks in before locking it and sitting down beside me. "I know it sucks, but honestly I think you're better off without him. He's hurt you so many times." Gina softly said. "That's the problem, I'm still in love with him." I sobbed. Gina pulled me It in her arms. "I understand." She says.
