Amnesia-Part Two
A/N: This story was requested by emiliusbelle and spnlifefanatic :3 so Amnesia is probably the first story I wrote that I actually consider good so to freshen your memory *Clears throat and straightens tie* Basically the reader was dating Dean, then lost her memory from a car accident, then fell in love with Sammy and Dean was really broken up about it and made a crossroad deal and then it ended with the woman appearing in Sam's POV. And I'm going to keep it in that for the beginning because the reader didn't come with him. On with the story!!
"Dean don't!" I yell from the car.
His head whips around quickly. "Sam, please... Leave..." I can only hear defeat and sadness in his voice.
I jog up to him, "Dean, really think this through..."
"I have, Sammy!" he says, turning to face me.
I finally get close enough to him to see his face in the pale glow of the moonlight. My brothers eyes were red and puffy from crying, and his face is tear streaked and stained.
"Dean, come home," I tell him, grabbing his wrist cautiously.
"I can't, Sam! I know you don't get how I feel, but please..." he reaches up and grabs my face gently and pulls me down, resting his forehead against mine, not speaking for a moment. "Brother, please let me do this..."
"Yeah, Sammy boy. Let him do it," the cross-roads demon says. She has long, wavy black hair and brown eyes, when they aren't red, with bright, shiney red lipstick on.
"Shut up," I tell her.
"Sam, you don't know her the way I do. You don't... You don't love her the way I do," Dean says.
"I don't? Dean, I've known her longer than you. I met her in Stanford, we were best friends. We used to study together, for God's sake. I know tiny things like when she gets too stressed, she throws up. And (lots of other quirks here). I know her. Better than you maybe."
"It's too late, Sammy," Dean says as he turns around and kissed the woman.
"Dean, no!" I yell, grabbing his jacket and yanking him back.
I hear the jacket tear a little as he fights back.
"Dammit, Sam!" Dean yells, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.
I hear feet pounding behind Dean and I.
"Guys, stop!" Y/N yells.
-Your second person POV-
"Y/N? What the hell?" Dean asks, turning to face you.
"So you're the infamous Y/N," A woman behind Dean said.
"Who are you?" you question, tilting your head to the side in confusion.
"Oh, me? I'm just-"
"Dean's date," Sam cuts in.
"What are you hiding from me?" you question.
"What do you mean?" Sam asks, uncomfortably rubbing the back of his neck.
"Well, unless she isn't capable of saying 'Dean's date,' you had no reason to say it for her," you cross your arms.
Realizing that they weren't going to tell you anything, you change the subject, "So," your start, "I'll go wait in the car. Sam, you should leave them to it."
You feel strange around Sam and Dean. Maybe it was the presence of 'Dean's date' but you can't be sure. You just wanted to go home.
"I'll meet you there," Sam says, giving you a tight, forced smile.
"Yeah," You nod slightly, turning your around, walking away slowly.
You wait in the car for what seems like an hour or so, but when you look at the clock again, it showed that you had only been in there for about ten minutes. You peek out the window, and Sam and Dean look like they're arguing, and the woman- the so-called, 'Dean's date'- is gone. You look up at the sky and see the low-hanging grey clouds.
"It's going to rain soon. Then the Winchester's are going to have a dramatic brotherly moment in the rain, and I'm going to be in here. Alone. Without any memories to keep me company," You sigh and look away from them. You turn the key, just so it's on, but the engine isn't started, and turn on the air conditioner. You can hear something rattling in the vent and spend a few minutes looking for it, but you don't find anything and give up on your search.
You can hear the rain begin to lightly sprinkle down, and you look out the window again, watching as the droplets of water slide down the glass. The sight of the two Winchester brothers- the only two people you know- in the rain, looking around as if to find a person throwing water at them as if rain was such a preposterous idea. You laugh at the sight, but they resume their conversation as if nothing had happened and you aren't in the car, waiting. You see Sam's arms flail outward as Dean's go upward in protest of whatever Sam had said.
You lean your head back on the headrest and close your eyes, the sound of the rain constantly thumping on the roof of the car is pleasing, and eventually lulls you to sleep in the car as the brothers continue to speak.
When you wake up, you're in the car still, but it was in a different spot. Back at Sam and Dean's house. You look around the car and see Dean wasn't there, but Sam was, in the driver's seat, shaking you lightly in an attempt to wake you up. You look out the window and see Dean's car in the garage.
"Morning, Sleeping Beauty," Sam whispers. "Wait, was that too cheesy? I'm sorry," He says, laughing quietly.
"Only a lot," You whisper.
"Okay," He whispers back.
"Do you know that there's something in the vent of the Impala?" You ask
Just so you know, Sam had his own car, and Dean has the Impala. At the crossroads, you got in the Impala instead of Sam's car, and you walked there because you aren't allowed to drive because of the amnesia. I just thought I should clear that up because it could be confusing.
"Yeah, we know," Sam says smiling, perhaps at the memory of how it got there. "Do you wanna go inside?"
You just nod, and open the car door, and closing it behind you after leaving. You rush to the door of the brothers' house, putting your arms above your head on an attempt to stay dry, which had failed horribly.
You hear Sam laughing behind you, and when you finally relax under the overhang of the roof, you see him casually walking with his hands in his pockets.
"Having a nice stroll, Winchester?" You ask.
"A little water never hurt anyone," he shrugs nonchalantly.
"Easy for you to say. All you have to do is shake your hair and- boom, perfection."
He gives you a rare, genuine laugh, and you can't help but smile yourself.
"Ready to go inside?" He asks. "It should be open."
You hesitate, not responding for a moment. Sam tilts his head to the side impatiently. A wide smile stretches across your face and you run inside.
Seeing Dean already lying down on the couch with an open beer, you smile quickly in his direction.
"Hey, baby," he give you a sweet smile.
"Dean..." You say quietly, the smile on your face slowly fading. "I- I'm sorry... Sam and I are together... Remember?" You remind him sadly.
-Dean's POV-
I don't understand. I made the deal. She told me I have 10 years. I rub my face and look away from her. I must've been quiet for a while because Y/N spoke again.
"Dean, I'm sorry. I know we used to be a couple-"
"I was going to propose to you," I say, looking up at her. Her face gets tense and she looks like she's dying to say something, but before she can, I continue. "I had plans to take you back to the diner that we met at. You used to be a waitress there."
"I didn't have this planned. Dean, I can't tell you how sorry I am, but you're a great guy, and you'll make someone really happy someday. I'm sure of it," she says, trying her best to be encouraging.
"I can't do it anymore, Y/N," I tell her, turning away. A few seconds pass by before him can hear her walk away and do something upstairs, before I hear her run outside, pausing at where I'm sitting. A wait a few minute to be completely sure she left before I let the tears I'd been holding in glide down my face. I wipe them away due to the ticking feeling as they run down my face.
-Your second person POV-
You gather as much water as you can in your hands and throw it at Sam. He makes an inhuman sound before kicking water up at you and you jump back, dodging most of it.
The memories of what Dean had said found themselves in your thoughts and your smile disappears.
"What's wrong?" Sam questions, picking up on your mood.
You shake your head, "I don't really want to really about it right now," you tell him honestly.
"Okay," he says, kissing your forehead quickly. "When you're ready, I'll be here. I will always be here, okay? Always." Haha, I put always and okay really close together haha tfios reference oh now I'm sad
"Okay," You nod.
"I'm glad we ended up together," he says, pulling you close to him. "I always loved you and I always will. I need you," he says.
The two of you stand there for a long time in silence, just holding each other.
A car with its lights off nearly hit the two of you, as you were lost in your thoughts. Sam pulled you off the road, nearly getting hit himself.
Sam suggested the two of you go inside and go to bed and you agree quickly.
You and Sam walk by Dean and go upstairs, you being more eager to be away from Dean. Not that you hate him, you're just not in the mood.
You change into pajamas quickly, as does Sam, and the two of you climb into a bed and go to sleep. "Goodnight, Sam," You whisper softly.
When you woke up the next morning, Sam was still snoring softly next to you. You slipped out of bed and went down the hallway, leading to the stairs. You took in how quiet it was today. Weird. Usually Dean is making some sort of noise.
You decide to sit outside on the porch, and just relax. You open the door, and scream at the sight that you saw.
Dean was dead in the road, ran over by a car.
A/N: Uh.. I MADE A SAD AGAIN. YES I KNOW IM SORRY IT JUST HAPPENED. I really had no clue how to end this. The first part if Amnesia was written so long ago, I never thought of even writing a part two. Normally, I have some bits that I leave out of stories, that I could put into a part two if needed, but I really had nothing planned, so I apologize if this story is a bit messy or unorganized, but like I said, this was all freestyled. So, I really hope you liked it :)
