Part 2
It's been a few years since Ink saw Error again. She finally realized he was only part of her mind. Still... she loved him as if he was real.
She was graduated by now and moving into a apartment. At night, she could've sworn she felt Error watching her, or, laying by her.
She sighed, knowing that wasn't true. Sometimes she wishes he was real. Just someone to talk to.
The next morning, a knock on her door. Her new neighbor.
"Hi. I'm Dream."
As most were, Dream was taller than Ink. She looked behind him and as you may have guessed, she saw Error.
"...c...could you turn around and tell me if anyone is behind you?" Ink asked.
Dream turned around and Ink closed the door. She wasn't in the mood for making friends.
Instead, she got out her sketchbook and drew Error for the first time in two years. When she thought he was real, they'd spend hours in her room, drawing, talking, whatever they wanted.
Beside the drawing Ink wrote 'Nothing good lasts forever.'.
Then she began thinking, she saw Error again. We're her hallucinations coming back? Just then, her head felt like it'd exploded with pain. Migraines.
Yep. Hallucinations.
Another knock on the door. She groaned. Her head was throbbing. Error walked in. Ink started crying.
"Getting migraines again Inky?" He asked, getting her some orange juice.
"...I...y..you..."
Error looked back at her.
"I... what?" He laughed.
His voice was still the same. Just a bit deeper. Ink found it odd she was still falling for him.
"You aren't real.." her voice cracked.
"Not real? I'm standing right here." He laughed.
Ink smiled, drinking the orange juice. Her migraine was going down and she felt like she used to around her friend. Though, she was still sad, knowing he wasn't truly with her.
Still, Error kissed her and still, she felt she wanted it.
It didn't feel real. But it felt like it used to. When he was gone, Ink found herself drawing him again... and again... and again.
He was all she wanted to think about. Real or not.
She dreamed about proposals, their children, weddings. And she liked the dreams.
After work, she'd look forward to them. And, Error only ever appeared when she really wanted him.
For a while... it was perfect. Until he asked her to marry him. She wasn't dreaming.
Ink cried and cried. She had to explain everything. He took it well but, Ink so badly wanted him. She wanted him to be with her. For real...
She got an idea. She went to her sketchbook.
"...I shouldn't but.. I want to..."
She didn't even think. It took an hour but she used her magic to make him real. To make him not a hallucination.
She was exhausted afterwards. Still, she was fine with it. Error held her for real. It felt... real.
"...y...you're real now...?" She asked.
Error kisses her. It to, felt like an actual kiss. Not just kissing air. Kissing a person. It was genuine and sweet and passionate. Everything she had wanted from him.
And it was real. He didn't really want to share Ink though.
And Ink didn't mind being just Error's. After a few real years with him, Ink was still in love, and happily married.
The end. A happy ending for this two parter.
