When Louis wakes the next morning, he's hot and it's not until he opens his eyes and finds Harry and Scott curled up practically on top of him he realises why.

Louis can't help the half smile at Scott and Harry's actions. Louis realises that them being upset about the raid is justified, he just doesn't understand why they are making such a big deal about it all. Granted it is the first time he has gone into a bust unarmed and unprotected, but he was following orders and that's his job.

Louis, Harry and Scott's relationship started when Harry and Scott asked Louis out after he graduated recruits, Louis declined. He thought Harry and Scott were right pricks and arseholes when he went through training. They would single Louis out and make sure to pick on him, give him more to do and had higher standards for Louis. It wasn't fair and Louis hated them for it.

Harry and Scott wouldn't take no for an answer though and Louis finally gave in, they developed feelings for each other and things became comfortable. They love each other but none of them have discussed taking it further, marriage and kids or anything. Louis still thinks In the back of his mind that Harry and Scott will move onto another when they find someone else, someone better. Harry or Scott aren't ones to share emotion, won't tell Louis they love him a lot and Louis has just learned to deal with that, just figured that's what Harry and Scott were like.

After Louis graduated Harry and Scott both decided to join SWAT, they lead the entire force and are amazing at their job, two of the best.

Louis moved to Detective work and narcotics, he goes undercover sometimes and loves his job, has brought down hundreds of criminals. Harry and Scott's team and Louis' work together when they need to and although they work in different sections they work on the same team when it comes to a raid.

Louis is slightly confused about how emotional Harry and Scott have been but he decides to push it aside, he has a long shift at the bureau today and needs to get ready.

Harry and Scott meet him in the kitchen for breakfast, Harry in his black pants and black business shirt unbuttoned to his chest, Scott in the same pants but a grey shirt, while Louis wears his black jeans and a black sweater, his badge hanging around his neck and his black vans on.

They don't say much, they don't even really greet Louis good morning, Louis just sighs and gets on with things, he isn't really sure what to say and Harry and Scott seem to be lost in thought. They say a fleeting goodbye to each other before Louis is jumping into his Camry and Harry and Scott in their Rover. They go their seperate ways, Louis office is at the Bureau whilst Harry and Scott work at head office in the centre of town.

Louis feels a bit uneasy, he's not sure what's going through Harry and Scott's heads and he doesn't want it to come down to a choice, his relationship or his career. Louis fell in love with Harry and Scott years ago, would give it all up for them tomorrow if Harry and Scott really asked him to, but he's hoping they won't. Louis knows Harry and Scott probably wouldn't do the same for him though and that makes him start to second think everything.

When Louis pulls up to work he walks to his office where Noah is waiting for him, they've been partners for four years and Louis trusts him with his life. Noah is blonde hair and blue eyes, two years Louis senior but they are like family and would do anything for each other.

"Morning Lou" Noah says solemnly.

"Morning, what's up." Louis wonders.

Noah sighs.

"Liam wants to see us" Noah says uneasily

"Yeah well, we always de brief after a raid" Louis says.

Noah nods and they both head to Liam's office.

"Morning boys" Liam ushers them inside and closes the door.

Liam has been their boss for years, head of investigations, he's good to work with and will only rip into you if you really deserve it,

"Boss" Louis and Noah greet.

"What's happened" Louis asks after he sees Liam sigh.

"The team is under investigation after yesterday, sending you in unarmed Louis has been flagged and until things have been sorted and we've been cleared, you're both on homicide" Liam says,

"What?" Louis asks in disbelief.

He hates working homicide, there is no undercover work and he hates working with the alpha males in uniform who think they know it all, even though they are several ranks below.

"I'm sorry Louis, rules are rules, it's just protocol but my hands are tied" Liam says,

"For how long?" Noah asks.

"Well, three months to start" Liam says.

"Three months, are you serious?" Louis asks.

This is so stupid, he knows instantly who's behind this, Harry and Scott.

"Sorry boys, here's your first case" Liam says handing over a folder, Noah pics it up with a sigh

"I guess we better get on it, there's a dead body in Greenwich that's waiting for us" Noah says,

"Well, it will be waiting a little longer we're stopping by Head office first" Louis says.

"Louis don't do anything stupid" Liam says.

Louis sighs, he's going to give Harry and Scott a piece of his mind.

Harry, Scott and their team are sitting around the break room ribbing each other, like they always do, their alpha males coming out, Harry is chewing on a toothpick and swinging on his chair laughing, Scott next to him smiling widely at a joke when Louis walks in angry.

"Heya Lou, Noah " Edward says happily,

"Hey kids" Drew greets.

The others all smiling at the two,

The squad know Louis is off limits and he's not to be messed with or anything, your job is on the line if you disobey and that's just how it's always been, unbeknownst to Louis.

Harry and Scott made it quite clear and still do to any newbies in the team and the squad is so far up Harry and Scott's ass they would never go against them anyway. Harry and Scott's close friends Drew, Edward and Dan all love Louis and Noah, they are all as close as family and Louis being the youngest of everyone is always protected.

Louis doesn't respond he's so pissed off and only has eyes for Harry and Scott

"You're arseholes" Louis says fiercely when he comes to stand opposite Harry and Scott

The boys snicker, Louis is the only one that could say that to Harry and Scott and still be standing.

Harry sighs and sits his chair back down properly and begins to stand up.

"Baby" He tries, smirking

"Don't Baby me" Louis says angrily

"Ohh Scott and Harry are in the shit" Drew laughs out

"Darling, just calm down hey" Scott tries as he stands up too

"What did they do kiddo" Edward asks chuckling.

"They've been right pricks" Louis says looking to Edward and back to Harry and Scott

"Louis we had no choice" Harry says

"Bullshit H, anyway, I just came by to let you both know you're sleeping on the couch for the next three months" Louis says and Harry and Scott smirk.

Louis then turns around and exits the office Noah by his side. Apparently they have a murder to solve.

"That's a bit harsh to send him to homicide boys" Drew scolds when Harry and Scott fill them in on why Louis is pissed.

"Harsh? Since when do we send our own in unprotected and without telling us." Harry asks as he crosses his arms.

"True, why did Liam authorise it?" Edward asks,

"We don't know and that's what's bugging us, he said the gang were on to Louis and it would have been safer, which is bullshit, they had no idea Louis was undercover" Scott says.

"Why didn't Liam get your okay first?" Drew asks

"Louis was supposed to be armed, When did it change?" Dan asks from his chair.

"Last minute, apparently there was no time" Harry says.

The boys know that's strange and is definitely not normal, everything in a raid is planned to a final tee, with every scenario covered.

"Or Liam knew you wouldn't agree to it" Drew says.

"It wouldn't have made a difference had Louis had a vest on, We don't understand Liam's reasoning that's why we've got him under investigation" Harry says.

"So why would he endanger Louis like that, Noah was sent in armed and he was next to Louis pretty much the whole time" Drew says.

"Exactly" Harry says darkly.

"Does Louis know?" Edward asks.

"No, that's why he's pissed, thinks we are doing it to spite him, he thinks Liam was doing his job, Louis was only told on scene five minutes before he went in." Scott says.

"And he couldn't argue" Drew says in realisation

"That's it, We just need to figure out Liam's motives, We're hoping it's legit, we want Liam to have just made a bad judgement but our gut tells us something else. So in the meantime Louis is working homicide which he loathes, Harry and I are sleeping on the couch but... at least he's safe" Scott says.

The boys chuckle but they are concerned, they just hope Liam didn't send Louis in unarmed on purpose and they can clear him of any wrong doing.
