Arriving back at Beacon it was already late in the night. Though Y/N still had a promise to keep of showing the emblem.

Ruby: So Y/N quick question, so why are we going back to the storage unit.

Y/N: Because once we got back I decided to hide it in there. Can't have Silver grabbing a hold of it now can we?

Ruby: I mean when you put it like that and what you said I guess.

Opening the door Ruby followed Y/N through the door as he kneel. He feels the floorboards for a loose board.

Y/N: Found it.

Ruby: You know now that I think about this you kinda went overboard.

Y/N: Ruby, are you telling me that you don't hide any snacks away from your teammates?

Ruby: They can never find my stash.

Y/N: Now do you want to see it?

Ruby: Of course I do.

A/N: I was looking for a picture for one of my stories and I came across this. I merely edited the image to add on some more color to better fit what I imagine colors of Atlas.

Y/N: Remember me mentioning my mother?

Ruby: Yes.

Y/N: My father gifted me the emblem after a particular brutal training session. I believe he said how they planned on gifting me this once I finally went to Signal Academy. Alas it never came to be. Taught at home and by members of our little community.

Ruby: ...So it looks sharp.

Y/N: That's why I also hid it from Silver. You see my mom apparently used it as a last ditch effort to fight. A tad bit too much for my taste but it was her style of fighting. Maybe one of these days. Crap.

Ruby: What? Did you poke yourself with it?

Y/N: Remember how I said back then about the rule my team has?

Ruby: The one if the other two is asleep you have to find your own so the person will not wake up the others.

Y/N: I could have sworn this rule applied to the others. There was a time in which Silver and Tanner had to.

Ruby: Well c'mon. We need to go before you get caught.

Ozpin: (suddenly appears) Yes,  before you two get caught.

Y/N: Ahh. You really like doing that now do you? So how are you doing this fine morning?

Ozpin: I was taking a stroll on this fine day when I heard a commotion. Believe it or not I enjoy walking these halls while empty.

Y/N: I can see why. There is a certain lighting that illuminates these halls.

Ozpin: You know Y/N if I were any less you would fool me with that.

Y/N: Had to try.

Ozpin: No response Ruby?

Ruby: Yes. I mean no. This isn't my place to talk. Seems more between you two. I will just watch.

Y/N: We seem to be at quite a predicament  Professor Ozpin. We seem to find ourselves in these situations.

Ozpin: Quite so. And as headmaster there is
a certain set of rules to adhere to.

Ruby: What kind of rules does a headmaster adhere to?

Ozpin: The kind that requires paperwork. In all honesty these past years I had to let some things pass. Minor incidents of course as how you youngsters worry about. Graying hair.

Ruby: You don't look a day over thirty.

Ozpin: I won't admit my age but I happen to be older than you think.

Ruby: Uhhh forty is the new thirty? Wait no.

Ozpin: Much older.

Y/N: Sixty is the new forty?

Ozpin: You know I am not exactly sure who influences who but that is besides the point. I am going to continue on my walk and let you on your merry ways. Too much paperwork is involved if you ask me.

Ruby: Thank you.

Ozpin: We all have a destiny to adhere to is what some would say. Frankly I think that is rubbish. It is what you make it to be.

Y/N: What kind of hidden meaning is there behind this because this turned from us two not being here to a deeper talk.

Ozpin: An astute observation, however, you two should be going to your dormitories.

With the remark said Ozpin walks away with Y/N and Ruby being left to walk back.

Ruby: So do you know what Ozpin meant?

Y/N: He is always cryptic. An enigma as how one would say.

Ruby: Though you gotta admit yourself that you are kinda like him. I mean you two even have the same speech patterns.

Y/N: (sighs) I don't have the fondest idea if I should take that as a complement from you or an insult. Either way thank you.

Ruby: You know you can sleep in my room... I mean with me you know. We did it before.

Y/N: Oh thank heavens. I cannot go through Yang once more. As for how you get on your bed nope.

Ruby: It's easy.

Y/N: Nope. I'm going to raise us to it.

Ruby: But that's my thing.

Y/N: Is it?

Ruby: Can we just go to sleep. I'm starting to get tired.

Y/N: (yawns) Yes.

Entering inside they quietly walked to Weiss's bed. He elevated himself and Ruby on her bed and got in. The bed creaked as it supports the twos weight.

Y/N: (whispering) Are you sure this is safe?

Ruby: (whispering) Of course. I did this all by myself like Crescent Rose.

Y/N: (whispering) Well if something were to happen then I feel sorry for Weiss.

Ruby: Night Y/N. Love you

Y/N: Night night. Love you as well. Now try not to push me to the edge.

Y/N knew that when he woke up he would be in entangled with Ruby but he was glad for it. He is glad to be Ruby and that he knew how it meant that he wouldn't fall off as Ruby would be hugging him.

The morning cameWaking up Y/N found that he was indeed stuck. Y/N had to coerce Ruby in letting him go by giving her a kiss. After all that he would go back to his room saying hi to Weiss, Blake and Yang. Getting ready they all went to the cafeteria.

Silver: Where is the rest of the group? I have not seen them since we left.

Tanner: You mean Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, and Ren.

Ruby: They said they had deal with a thing. Nora didn't exactly say.

Yang: Guess we'll meet them later.

Ruby: So today is the last day of our break.

Weiss: Obviously Ruby. I suggest we should do something as after we go back to schooling which I personally don't have a problem with.

Ruby: Hey, don't steal my idea Weiss! I think we should do a gift exchange.

Ruby looks around the table to see everyone's reaction. Most looks to be interested but there was the others who were unsure. She looks to Y/N but he was distracted as he was fidgeting with his broken pocket watch.

Blake: It isn't even Christmas.

Silver: Now hold on Blake. Let Ruby speak.

Yang: Presents you say. Let my sister talk.

Ruby: Hear me out. Why do we have to wait until December?

Weiss: You do realize there is more to it than simply presents.

Yang: Don't people usually do gag gifts?

Blake: We don't have to. Besides it's hard to imagine Weiss doing that.

Weiss: No comment.

Ruby: Y/N can you create a hat?

Y/N: Should he simple.

Ruby: Weiss, you have the best handwriting and write all our names. Y/N could you go get Weiss some paper and a pencil?

Y/N: Sure.

As Y/N left Ruby seemed to be more excited than her usual self.

Ruby: I'm going have Y/N okay?

Tanner: You have a plan?

Ruby: I have a plan and I need to make it up to him.

Weiss: Wait we are an odd number of people.

Yang: I mean if one of us wants to pick two. If a certain person who is kind hearted and-

Weiss: I know what you are doing Yang.

Yang: Is it working?

Weiss: I will pick two.

Blake: And I'll make sure to tell the others.

As Y/N went back to the table the names were drawn. Ruby's plan worked.

Yang: We meet back at five. Sound good?

Silver: I guess.

Tanner: It sounds good.

Blake: More than enough.

Ruby: Then go! We meet at JNPR's room.

Hurrying to the bullheads they went on their own bullheads arriving at different locations in the city.

Silver: So who you got Y/N?

Y/N: Ruby. You?

Silver: Oddly enough Jaune. Tanner?

Tanner: Blake.

Y/N: I do not suggest a bookmark. You know that readers use anything as a bookmark. On my experience they cause more harm as they sorta rip the page.

Tanner: I have a certain idea. Also strangely enough it was someone I met on the bullhead.

Silver: How do I not know who they are!

Tanner: The ride where we accidentally got seats not next to each other.

Y/N: Well while you go I guess Silver and I will do our own thing.

Tanner: So glad that I got Blake. This should be easy.

Silver: Okay, we get you know what to get for yours. Now shoo.

Tanner: (leaves) Good luck with yours.

Silver: What to get?

Y/N: (sarcastically) You could always just get Jaune Pumpkin Pete's. It's totally a good idea as they don't serve that at Beacon.

Silver: That is actually a good idea.

Y/N: I wasn't serious.

Silver: Too late. I'll also get him an oversized spoon to go with it. (leaves)

Y/N: Where would Silver even get the giant spoon? I get the cereal but the spoon.

Y/N had a hard time trying to find something for Ruby. Hours has passed and he had not a single thing to show for it until walked by the one spot that he could not believe he forgot.

Y/N: How could I have forgotten the one and only obvious thing. The weapons shop.

Entering inside Y/N browsed for a bit but saw nothing of interest.

Shopkeep: I see that you are having a hard time finding something. Can I be if help?

Y/N: Yes you can. I am looking for something that a scythe user can use.

Shopkeeper: Scythe user aye. Those people are rare. Say is it Ruby Rose?

Y/N: Yes.

Shopkeep: Ruby is one of my best customers. Believe me when I say that.

Y/N: I don't find that hard to believe. I'm her boyfriend after all.

Shopkeep: I might have something but I will say that it is on the pricey side. Just came this morning in fact.

Y/N: What is it?

Shopkeep: It is my compadre a dust infused sniper dust chamber. Ruby once showed me a schematic of her weapon. For parts of course and I know this will fit. Though (shows price) I can negotiate.

Y/N: That's quite a lot. Say how well do you know Ruby?

Shopkeep: Well she has talked to my wife a couple of times. Ruby even talked about you. Nice job by the way, but she said you also do have a semblance that I have never saw.

Y/N: May I ask what exactly?

Shopkeep: Of course. She said how you said that some thought it was a Schnee semblance.

Y/N: Cryokinesis.

Shopkeep: Could you make something you make not melt?

Y/N: Yeah, but it takes a lot out of me so I do not do it. That and I never had a reason to do it as of yet.

Shopkeep: My anniversary is coming up and she loves flowers a lot. She was interested in a thing called ghost apples.

Y/N: Don't know what that is.

Shopkeep: Don't know what it is but I saw a picture. Looks like it is made entirely from ice but the thing was once an apple.

Y/N: So you want me to do to the apple to a flower.

Shopkeep: Basically. Of course it can't melt.

Y/N: Alright.

Y/N concentrated really hard as he created a flower made entirely of ice. It took a lot out of him given the extra things he had to do with what he was creating.

Y/N: (hands it) Okay, okay. I'm done.

Shopkeep: That look like it took a lot out of you. Do you need a breather?

Y/N: No. I made sure the flower should not break easily but I suggest you show encase it. That and it will add to the flower.

Shopkeep: You mind if I check if it melts?

Y/N: No.

The shopkeep took out a blowtorch and made the flame as hot as he can. As he put it on the flower it did not melt.

Shopkeep: Well I'll be damned. Alright so a deal is a deal. I'll do it half off.

Y/N: I know I shouldn't question it but why?

Shopkeep: You know how there how people that seem to hate who they married to as time passes? Then there are those who others look to for that perfect marriage.

Y/N: Yes.

Shopkeep: Well we are not that but I think it is going well. Been together for four years and married for another three.

Y/N: (hands money) Well thank you.

Shopkeep: Sure I may be taking a loss but as it will be worth it in the long run.

Y/N: Wait I'm curious. How hard is to come across these?

Shopkeep: Well the materials that is needed is rare as it is hard to access. There is a lot of other stuff but you saw the price tag to prove this. Try searching it up.

Y/N: (looks through scroll) All sold out.

Shopkeep: Yup. Well good luck with Ruby.

Y/N: Good luck with your anniversary.

Leaving Y/N thought he needed to add one more thing to it. He knew he had to go to the bakery.

Baker: Hey Y/N. Where's Ruby?

Y/N: By myself. Do you think you can do me a favor?

Baker: Well it would be bad to anger what is my top customer's boyfriend.

Y/N: It is okay if you say no.

Baker: Can't be much seeing what I do. What is it?

Y/N: Simple. You see I'm doing a gift.

Baker: And there has to be cookies but you can't be seen.

Y/N: Yes.

Baker: Well I guess I could make the next batch earlier. Any request?

Y/N: Double chocolate chip but I want to do it as well. More meaning behind it.

Baker: I guess I could. Though it is different and I will have to operate the machinery. That and you will have to follow the guidelines.

Y/N: Thank you.

Baker: Well I have a uniform in the back for you to wear. I'll do a crash course and we'll go from there.

After quite some time the cookies were finally done. As Y/N was taking off the uniform the baker comes back with a bag of the cookies.

Baker: Not bad. Could of been better but it is your first time doing this.

Y/N: How much is it?

Baker: You just helped me create cookies. I keep the rest and you get those for free. See you later.

Y/N: Yeah. It's probably going to be in this week.

Baker: I'll have your baguette ready.

Y/N: What time is it?

Baker: Four-thirty.

Y/N: Fuck. I need to go.

Baker: Must be serious if he cursed.

Y/N got his scroll out of his pocket only to see multiple messages. What made the situation even worse was at the moment his scroll dies before he can respond. Once he got to Beacon he runs up to JNPR's room, opening the door.

Y/N: I'm here. (gasps for air) Scroll died.

Pyrrha: What happened to you?

Nora: You miss everybody opening the gifts.

Ren: Silver's was definitely interesting.

Y/N: Where is Ruby by the way?

Jaune: She went to get a drink. You want to see the spoon Silver got me?

Weiss: He is a little too excited by it.

Y/N: I guess.

Jaune: (has to hold spoon with both hands) I can't use it. The spoon is larger than the bowl.

Y/N: So what did everybody got?

Blake: Tanner somehow managed to get me a signed copy from my favorite author.

Tanner: Like I said I accidentally say next to the person. Gave him an idea.

Weiss: I got Silver dust.

Silver: Can't wait to use gravity dust to make me fly! Here is a Silver Fun Fact.

Y/N: I'll give you the benefit of a doubt.

Silver: Okay, did you know that before Isaac Newton discovered gravity everybody could fly?

Weiss: Uhh.

Ruby: Y/N? You're here.

Y/N: Sorry I'm late but I had to do deals and I did some stuff. Loss track of time.

Ruby: It's okay.

Yang: So what did you get for Ruby?

Y/N: (hands the present) Open it.

Ruby: (hands present) No, you open yours first.

Y/N: Alright (opens it).

Y/N opened the gift. Pulling out the first part he laughs as he held a baguette.

Jaune: Is that a baguette?

Ren: I'm confused.

Weiss: Why did you get Y/N bread?

Ruby: Well remember when Y/N and I had our first duel? A baguette is the reason why he had to sleep in our room.

Y/N: And a scope.

Ruby: I made it myself. I remembered how you told me you needed a scope.

Y/N: In that case I think that my present will complement yours. You can say that it is the opposite of what you did.

Ruby: (opens it) Is that? It is!

Jaune: What is it.

Y/N: A dust infused sniper chamber.

Ruby: ThankYouThankYouThankYou.

Yang: How much did it cost?

Y/N: I had to do a deal for it. Won't say the cost but it was quite a bit.

Ruby: But how Y/N? I mean these are rarely made and get sold out immediately.

Y/N: Deals had to be made. There is another part to it.

Ren: Is it what we all think it is?

Blake: Yes.

Silver: I would be surprise if it isn't.

Ruby: Chocolate chip cookies!

Y/N: It is double actually.

Ruby: C'mon Y/N! We need to test these out!

Y/N: Just a minute.

Going out of the door first Ruby turns around and stops Y/N in his tracks.

Y/N: Are we not testing out the weapons?

Ruby: Actually I got you another gift. Close your eyes and no peaking.

Y/N: (closes eyes) Can I open it now.

Ruby: Nope.

Y/N: Now?

Ruby: Hold our your hands.

Y/N: Okay.

Ruby: Now open your eyes.

Y/N: (opens eyes) Is this?

Ruby: I know I cannot replace what I broke, but-

Y/N: I love it.

Ruby: Really?

Y/N: I truly do. You know I feel like watching Silver try to fly with that gravity dust.

Ruby: Let's go then.

With that the two enter back inside to watch Silver attempt to fly. It didn't end well as he didn't have a strategy on how to land. Luckily a thorned brush broke his fall.
