After the confession with Ruby Y/N of course had to return to the infirmary. He only stayed for one day. It was long enough to ensure that he was okay as he had a promise to keep.

Doctor: You know it is a miracle that you are able to walk. One shrapnel piece in particular nearly hit your spinal cord.

Y/N: You believe in miracles?

Doctor: That or destiny.

Y/N: I have to ask why?

Doctor: In my line of work it's the only thing that helps me get through the hard days. You will have to have physical therapy of course. I take it that you'll use your cane for support?

Y/N: Yes. Thanks doc.

Doctor: Well your headmaster wants a word with you.

The doctor left with Ozpin entering the room. He then gave you your cane.

Ozpin: Quite a dilemma at hand. You won't
be able to participate in Glynda's class and to top it off you need time for physical therapy.

Y/N: You have something in mind don't you?

Ozpin: We'll use last years grades. Instead of her class that is when you will be doing it.

Y/N: I take it that you have other news.

Ozpin: You have detention as well for your little escape.

Y/N: I needed the fresh air.

Ozpin: You left without so much as notifying the staff. Though by all means I am certain it must have been worth it given what it led to.

Y/N: Nothing gets passed you doesn't it?

Ozpin: Given what Team SHDE has done in the past I have to.

Y/N: If I had not known the intention behind it, well I would find that creepy. Tanner would understand while Silver is something else. He would he flattered.

Ozpin: Silver sure is something. In fact what you two have done in what is really your first year's break is the reason why this started.
Sure it may not happen a lot but when it does questions do arise. I once saw Tanner out of my office window shoot and arrow and create a zip line. He then proceeded to use said bow to go down.

Y/N: He said that was if a situation were to that needed such a tactic.

Ozpin: Right. Though we never did discuss that rally you managed to get yourselves into over the break.

Y/N: We're still unsure how we got into that anti-Faunus rally.

Ozpin: Yes, if you two were found it would of reflected poorly upon Beacon. Though I know that you aren't ones to do such a thing.

Y/N: Sad thing was how they were mostly good people besides that whole anti-Faunus.

Y/N thought at how he and Silver did have a thought of going to another. The rallies only did happen once a month but the people did a weekly barbecue. The food was good.

Ozpin: I cannot imagine as such a situation never occurred in my time as a headmaster. Well I will be off now.

Ozpin left leaving Y/N there freely to leave but he had a call to make. One to Silver.

Y/N: (via scroll) I need you to take my spot in detention.

Silver: (via scroll) Why would I do that?

Y/N: Because I have a date.

Silver: On two conditions alright? I won the Rock Paper Scissors match and you will have
to agree with the plan 100%.

Y/N: Okay.

Silver: We do this in person.

Y/N hanged up the scroll and slowly made his way back to his room using his cane. Arriving he opened the door to see Silver smiling.

Y/N: I herby declare you Silver the winner of the match. Are you happy?

Silver: Yes. Sometimes it's the simple things that do that. For the plan I will need a set of your clothes, one of your helmets, a cane, and a pre-recorded message.

Y/N: I only have the one cane.

Silver: Walk slower then. I need it to look like you.

You figured how this will go about but you do reluctantly agree. It was also out of curiosity
at how it will come about. With the message recorded you made a call to Ruby.

Ruby: Y/N?

Y/N: Ruby, I'm a bit busy at the moment but can you meet me outside my room?

Silver: Say how is the most beautiful person in the word doing.

Y/N: Silver really?

Silver: I'm helping you.

Ruby: Y/N, I can't hear. Was that Silver?

Silver: Why did you call? Why can't you text like a normal person.

Y/N: Because I prefer doing phone calls and Ruby yes that was.

Ruby: Okay. Bye. (hangs up)

Silver: It's part of the deal now.

Y/N: Ugh. Fine.

Silver: Wait before you go out the door I had an idea for a weapon.

Y/N: What is it this time?

Silver: Gunchucks.

Y/N: I do not even know how to respond to such an idea.

Opening the door Y/N spots Ruby humming to herself, waiting. Spotting you her reaction changes. She was slightly startled.

Ruby: Y/N? What are you doing here?

Y/N: I called you here.

Ruby: Right I got nervous is all. Still getting use to the idea.

Y/N rubbed the bridge of his nose with his thumb and finger as he remembered one part of the deal. Silver meanwhile was listening at the wall waiting for him to say it.

Ruby: Y/N, are you okay. You seem to having some trouble.

Y/N struggled for a bit as he never had to say such words. Ultimately he decided to get the thing over with.

Y/N: How is the most beautiful person doing?

Still not used to the relationship Ruby's face turns turns into a red hue and a blush forms.

Silver: I'm doing great! Thanks for asking!

Y/N: Silver.

Silver: I'm getting ready for it.

Ruby: So I uh heard you had detention.

Y/N: How is it that you heard it? Ozpin just now told me.

Ruby: While I was getting ready for the day Blake was going to help but left seeing you with Ozpin.

Y/N's face turns to that of worry knowing how the conversation turned.

Y/N: How much did Blake happen to hear?

Ruby: Not much. She said after hearing that she left. Anyways how did you get out of it?

Y/N: I pulled some few strings and Silver will take my place.

Ruby: What did it cost?

Silver: He had to say I won.

Ruby: So everything and more.

Y/N: Yes, but it will be worth it as I have the promise I do intend to keep.

Ruby: What we talked about yesterday. Let's go then.

Silver POV

Okay let's see. I have the outfit, book with the scroll, the cane, helmet, but I don't have his
tie. Hmmm...Nah I won't need it. They won't notice and even then I don't know how to tie  tie in the first place. With the list done I enter the classroom with the book in hand. A scroll inside for the message and for entertainment.

Glynda: May I ask exactly why you have the helmet of yours on at this time?

Silver: (whispers to himself) It's go time.

Y/N: (recorded message playing) You see the  reasoning behind my combat uniform is that I intend on practicing later.

Glynda: Very well. Carry on with your book.

With that done Silver sighs in relief. He then goes on to play with his scroll inside the book. As this happened Y/N and Ruby was walking.

Y/N: I'm curious. How did Yang react?

Ruby: The date? Well nothing bad. She just said to wear something normal. Something I would wear. What about Tanner?

Y/N: He merely said, "Nice. I'm going to meet up with Ren."

Ruby seemed to be content with that answer. She was walking more slowly as to match my pace due to my injury. Though I chose to not say the full thing.

Flaskback

Tanner: Don't screw up your relationship as you and I know if this does then it will mean picking sides.

Y/N: I figured the same.

Tanner: Well you know what this will cause and it doesn't help how we have three more years of this. Despite us hanging with JNPR they will pick them over us as they knew the team longer, and if not it will cause division among their team.

Y/N: You mean how this is Ruby who we are talking of. That I will look like the bad guy.

Tanner: Pretty much. Though if this were to happen remember that Silver and I will stick by your side. Just try not to screw this up.

Y/N: Much appreciated.

Tanner: Well go to your date.

Flashback ends

Y/N remembered this happen just after Ruby said about going. Though you had to go back
to the room for your wallet for the day ahead
of you. Ruby though was thinking, adding to the silence. She wanted to hold your hand but was unsure how to go about it.

Ruby: (thoughts) Like do I grab his hand or does Y/N do it? Who does it first?

Her thoughts were interrupted as you grab Ruby's hand. She was surprised but it was a welcomed one at that.

Y/N: I happen to notice that you were staring at my hand.

Ruby: Your hands are cold. You know that?

Y/N: Remember that my hair and eyebrows are white.

Ruby: Right. Your semblance. Anyways what should we do?

Y/N: We will find out soon enough. Though are you feeling peckish?

At that moment they hear a rumble coming from Ruby's stomach.

Ruby: Yes. (notices a restaurant) Ooh, ooh let's go over there.

They went in with Y/N being first as he had to set the pace of the walk given if Ruby were to well it would not be good.

Y/N: Hmmm... I guess I'll have a funnel cake.

The cashier pushes a few buttons and a price appeared.

Y/N: I'll be paying for her order as well.

Ruby: I want a funnel cake also.

Cashier: Sorry he ordered the last one. Our manager was sick and they were the only who could order the ingredients.

Ruby's usual happy attitude that Y/N knows her for changed. Her shoulder's slumps over and her expression saddens. You got one look at Ruby before deciding your next move.

Y/N: Ruby, you can have it.

Ruby: But you ordered it.

Y/N: I insist. It's the polite thing to do.

Cashier: You still need to pay and why not just share it?

Y/N and Ruby agreed with him paying for the snack while putting the rest of the change in the tip jar given their solution. Sitting down Ruby took one look at it before hatching an idea she saw before.

Ruby: I always wanted to try this.

Y/N: What?

Ruby: I saw this on the t.v. and it's what the couples did.

Y/N: Feeding each other right?

Ruby: Yes, unless you don't want to.

Ruby's expression changes once more and you automatically knew you had to.

Y/N: Okay.

Ruby: Yay! Now open wide.

After finishing the snack Ruby wanted to go to an arcade. You yourself didn't even know that there was one but you had fun. This was a tad bit maddening.

Ruby: I win again!

Y/N: You keep on button mashing. Here I am trying to perform combos yet your response is to fire a gun staying far away from me. This is a fighting game.

Ruby: But I still won the match and it was all skill. Also this is for what you did to me on Mario Kart. I never forgot.

Y/N: You started it with the blue shell. I was merely defending myself.

Ruby: Anyways now what do we do?

Y/N: We walk until we see something.

Exiting the arcade Y/N and Ruby walked to a point where they saw something that peaked their interest. She saw a sign.

Ruby: Wait. What's that? (moves closer) Do you know what an improv show is?

Y/N: Think of it as a unscripted comedic act. Never have I been to one before. Care to go?

Ruby: I mean we might as well before it gets too late.

Y/N: (looks at pocket watch) Huh. Well then let's go.

The improv was certainly something else that was unexpected. They were making the actors do some interesting acts. One being how they were an author but as it turned out it was for all the wrong reasons. They went towards the discrimination route.

Ruby: I don't understand why they would say something like that.

Y/N: Ruby, that was for comedy. It makes fun of everyone. Maybe we will go to an actual comedy show when you are older.

Ruby: What, why when I'm older?! It can't be that bad.

Y/N: You won't understand yet and it is. I have to ask how did this went?

Ruby: Well it was certainly different but I did like it. I mean we spent time together.

Arriving back you were going to kiss Ruby but you saw her teammates watching and decide against it. Y/N went for a hug much to Ruby's confusion but nuzzled her face in your chest. You turn to face away from them.

Y/N: (whispering) I would have went for a kiss but your teammates are watching. Okay on three you turn to them. One...two... three!

Ruby turns around, catching her team by surprise. They got startled by this sudden act and fall into their room.

Ruby: That was fun. Well I'll miss you.

Y/N: We each other practically everyday.

Ruby: You know what I mean.

Y/N: Yeah.

Ruby: Now I need to ask my teammates what was that about.

At that moment Ozpin walks by and stops by you.

Ozpin: I'm sure that date of yours went well now did it?

Y/N was startled that he was found out but instead of admitting to it he opted to ask on what grounds. If he were to say how then it would mean admitting his guilt.

Y/N: I'm willing to accept the consequences but may I ask on what grounds.

Ozpin: Let's see. I'll tell you a story and you will tell me what's wrong.

Small Flashback

Ozpin: Glynda, do you know where I placed the documents pertaining to the budget?

Glynda: Just a minute. Y/N you may go.

With that Silver got up and walked using the cane while holding the book in hand. Passing by Ozpin the headmaster notice a lack of a tie.

Ozpin: (thoughts) That is odd. I could have sworn that Y/N wears a tie.

Flashback ends

Y/N: Not having a tie.

Ozpin: Now of course you could've simply went without a tie. Then there is how I'm seeing you now enter.

Y/N thought might as well accept it. As he is that observant surely he would of also notice how he doesn't hold his cane at the moment.

Y/N: So it came down to being at the right place at the wrong time and an inability to tie a tie.

Ozpin: As for your punishment too bad the culprit was never got to validate my claims.

Y/N took a closer look at Ozpin to see what he was doing.

Y/N: How unfortunate.

Ozpin: Yes. You may carry on. Though for whoever that may be if only I could suggest that they will be found out if done again.

With that Ozpin left, leaving you to enter the room. Going on your bed you wondered why he took an interest in you and Ruby. Though Y/N figured it may be part of his job when he looks at who to send on missions when they are fully train huntsmen. That or it could be the circumstances in which they all got into Beacon Academy. It may also come down to what they did in the past. That incident with Silver concerning that rally.
